We were greeted by such a kind person working (we had forgotten to get his name but shoutout to him for helping us out with our order!) Fell in LOVE with this place!! If you have ever been to gunther's in sacramento then you'll be kinda familiar with this concept. They do the slush and soft serve together which is just like a 50/50 at gunther's. I love how the two textures go together and oh the flavors are all so so good!! They let you try the flavors too! I got the mango slush with blackberry soft serve and it was so yummy! My friends got the the other ones pictured and they were also sooo good! Their sour flavors are just like a warhead and wow I was so impressed on how sour it was! I got the pipsqueak size and it may look small but it is very filling. Highly highly recommend this place and the vibe in there is so fun! They have video games you can play and lots of tables to sit inside or outside. Been seriously wanting to try this new ice cream shop in town with my family, but nevermind...I was driving by and just went in by myself earlier today. Whew it's 91 degrees today, time for something cool and refreshing. I decided on a regular sized split of cherry slush and butter pecan soft serve. It was so good! The soft serve seemed custardy, dense, smooth, and just the right sweetness to go along with my cherry slush. It tasted like a perfect combination. I did initially request to get the sugar-free blueberry slush (thank you Wicked Slush for this sugar-free option by the way!) but they didn't have it today (darn). Looking forward to bringing my hubby here as he is a soft serve aficionado (his favorite is the custard soft serve at Easy Breezy). So I'll see what he thinks when we come back together. While I was having my split I got a chance to meet Austin who works there. He asked how I liked my slush & soft serve and I happily told him what a great product they sell. He shared that the soft serve they sell is a bit more expensive than other kinds, but was worth it...I wholeheartedly agree. New ice cream spot in Novato! So happy to see something like this open up as I love the whole slush+ice cream combo. I got a regular split with mango and vanilla ice cream. This was enough to share for 2 people. Can't go wrong with mango flavor and the vanilla ice cream was really creamy and delicious. The middle is also layered with more slush and ice cream. Super chill inside with lots of seating and video games to play in the back. There is parking in front of the store as well. Very friendly staff. Oh, talk about memories. This place brought me right back to Ices Queen in Brooklyn, NY - who served the most amazing, silky Italian ices. The Slush here is a fabulous recreation of that childhood experience. The fact that you can couple that with softserve (Straus, no less?) makes this place THE most decadent place in Novato. Bar none. Even the smallest kiddie size packs quite the flavor wallop, so don't think you need a monster slush to quench your dessert craving. I am so happy Wicked Slush finally opened for business the other day. I have been anticipating this day ever since I first heard they were going to be in Novato. I expected there would be a long line and there was but it was worth it. The service was great. The staff was friendly and they kept thanking us for our patience. There was a woman walking around greeting everyone while they were waiting in line and people seated who were enjoying their slushes. I ordered the root beer slush, my hubby got the Root Beer Float, and my mom got the Tropical Boys which is a mango slush and boysenberry soft serve. She raved about how good it was. Why did I do this to myself? I live in the South Bay, but on a trip to the North Bay I made sure to make an extra stop at Wicked Slush because I had seen them on instagram and was intrigued. The combination of soft serve and refreshing, fruity slush cannot be described - it must be experienced. They use top notch Straus Family Farms milk for their many flavors of soft serve and the flavor combination possibilities are endless. I really enjoyed the "twisted cherry" which came with a vanilla chocolate swirl of soft serve. The regular size was perfect for me, though I respect that they also have small sizes for only $2 for those who just want something quick and refreshing. It was SO hot that day and I think it's great to just get a lil' something sweet when you need it. But now I am craving more and I live so far away! AAAAAH! I always look forward to trying a new food spot in Novato. You walk in here and it feels very different from any other place in Novato. They have a large indoor space and even some outdoor space. They have slushes and soft serve ice cream and splits (half and half). I'm not a big slush fan, so I got a "Pipsqueak" sized soft serve with chocolate and banana ice cream. The sizes are deceiving. I knew I didn't want a lot so I got the 2nd smallest size. It was actually more than I was able to eat (I had just eaten dinner, so...). My daughter ordered the next size up which appears to be probably twice as big as the Pipsqueak size. She barely finished it. She ordered a Split with watermelon soft serve and sour watermelon slush. Wicked Slush in Novato has a pretty big setup with lots of seating although slushes and soft serve is pretty much all they have. I ordered a pink lemonade slush with blackberry soft serve. The slush was delicious, while I didn't care so much for the blackberry soft serve. I felt like it wasn't clear what flavor it was supposed to be. I'm obsessed with this place. I tend to go Mostly in the winter because it's not crowded and you can sit and chat with friends or just unwind from a long day while eating strauss fro-yo and slush. Such a great place for water ice (or Italian ice)! It really reminds me of the places on the east coast and I can't believe there's one in this little part of Novato. I used to go to Rita's on the east coast (especially when they open for spring), and really missed having that custard and ice option here on the west coast. Yeah, there are Rita's here, but they are rare and don't have nearly enough flavours to choose from. What's even better is that Wicked Slush uses Straus for their custard and it makes it heavenly. I ordered mine without custard, it mistakenly came with it, and I'm not even mad. In fact, I'm super grateful that happened because it was really delish. Downgrading review based on how unreliable this Wicked Slush store had been. They close 1 to 2 hours before closing time constantly. We have come at least a dozen times during posted business hours only to read a sign that they closed early. They don't honor posted business hours. They've even closed entire days they were suppose to be open with a sign saying it was closed so they can watch the football game. This is a poorly run business. If you can't honor business hours then at least change them to times you will honor. read more

So first time I had Wicked Slush was up in Healdsburg. Delighted to find a location in Novato. For those unaware, what's this? Imagine Italian Ice (but softer consistency than many). But the 'combo' is a scoop of Italian Ice into a bed of Soft Serve (which isn't really ice cream, but a lot smoother and creamier - think Dairy Queen). Then imagine combining flavors - like vanilla soft serve with orange Italian ice and such. Yes, it's a return to childhood treats all over again. I reward myself on the occasional long day from time to time. The servings are LARGE - even the smallest one is a LOT more than you think it's going to be. Service is friendly and helpful. My friends and I went to Wicked Slush in Petaluma (before their rebrand) and decided to check out this location. I was a bit disappointed to see that there were only 3 soft serve flavors. I didn't feel like getting slush so I decided to just get vanilla soft serve. It was pretty good, but a bit icier than I was expecting. I was hoping it would be creamier. I got the pipsqueak size which looks small, but they actually fill it up quite high so it's like double the size! They also have a cool arcade area in the back of the shop. What I disliked was that they charge a $0.25 fee for a non-reusable cup, which I thought was a little ridiculous because what ice cream place charges you for a cup? Why not just add the fee into the price of the ice cream? I guess you could save $0.25 if you remember to bring your own cup the next time you visit. read more

Wicked Whaaaattt? We are so happy that Wicked Slush is in Novato! They opened when the fair was happening this year and we left the fair to go get us some slush. Their menu rotates weekly and they have combos galore. You can get straight slush, just soft serve or a stacked wicked slush. The ice cream is organic Strauss, goodness galore. My usual go to is a root beer/vanilla it tastes like a root beer float and is delicious. The mango and cheesecake is legit so fresh and yummy. I haven't ever been disappointed with the mixes and choices. They will give you a sample if you're afraid. They are in the old Teeny Cakes space and they have opened it up and added a few cool gaming systems in the back for kids (or adults) to play. They have lots of tables and some outside seating. The portions are huge. I always have to get a lid and take it home. The best was when I opened my freezer and saw a cup I had forgotten about so I had it for dessert. Call me weird but I don't love root beer floats. So walking into this place and having the staff at the counter recommend root beer floats, well, I wasn't sure what to expect. But my first taste of the "split" (slush + soft serve) was heaven. It only got better from there. Since then, I've had the dreamsicle, too, (orange slush + vanilla soft serve) and it was even better! The key is that they use Strauss soft serve. It's such high-quality ice cream that you can't help but love it and spoon up every delicious, cold, sweet bite. The one small complaint I have is that the size options are confusing. When you buy a regular for here, they say "that will come in the next biggest cup" and they add on a hefty serving above and around the lip of the cup. If you buy a regular to go, it's the same price but they put a lid on it and give you less. If you buy a pipsqueak to go, they give you a mini pip with a lid but charge you for a pipsqueak. I think I have that right... anyway, I feel confused about the sizes every time I order. I guess I'll get used to it after a while. The wait can be about ten minutes at times but it's air-conditioned inside and there are even video games in the back so it's a very pleasant wait. The staff have been helpful and patient. The menu can be a little overwhelming so I'd suggest asking for a recommendation on your first trip. read more

Better than DQ. And the ice cream and slush split? That's the way to go. Never would have thought the two would go together, but they are truly something to experience. As a local, I love to support a small business and customer service factors into whether or not I frequent a spot. The family that owns and operates the Novato location are simply the nicest people you'll ever meet. When they aren't hard at work serving customers and keeping the store spotless, they are often out in the community, supporting a charitable event. Katrina, the owner, has a soft spot for the special needs community. Since our daughter has special needs, it's really delightful for all of us to stop in for a visit.
