Had lunch here today & everything was spot on. Service was attentive & food was delicious. Monte Cristo sando was excellent, accompanied by crisp potatoes & fruit. Chinese chicken salad was even better, fresh & plentiful with lots of ingredients, including cashews & yummy mango chunks. We will return for dinner soon read more

Was really excited to try this place after seeing their menu posted in the window. Walked in at noon on a Sunday and was seated. Waters took a long time to arrive, and we sat for 25 minutes before our order was even taken. When the server did take our order, she told us that the kitchen was short staffed. This was concerning to me as the server took forever to even show up to our table. We were going to order coffee and mimosas, but after hearing that, I decided to just stick with coffee. I already had a bad feeling. This turned out to be an issue because we had to go ask for our coffees after waiting forever. An hour after being seated, we still had no food. We left $10 for the 2 coffees and walked out. I've been a server in a restaurant and this isn't okay under any circumstances. Even though they were unable to serve us what we ordered, they continued to seat new people and take new orders. It shouldn't take an hour for 2 breakfast dishes. This is the first time I have ever walked out of a restaurant like that. Obviously not going back. read more

Did not expect to love the food as much as I did! I'm not a spicy food person but the balance of unique flavors and perfect spice levels had me bringing home the leftover sauce to use on something I will cook. Lots of seafood options and vegan options as well. Not cheap but not outrageous for a white tablecloth experience. Odd name too, as I would never call it a lounge. read more

I was searching for any new brunch options in downtown San Rafael, as I heard that Boogie's Too had closed. I saw that Tutu Lounge opened in that location, so I checked out their menu. They have a variety of options. For those that like eggs Benedict, there is a full page dedicated to the many choices they have. For me, I noticed they had gluten free toast. Monte Cristo was also on the menu, so I asked if they could make a gluten free Monte Cristo. Our waitress said she would ask. She came back with an affirmative and so I happily ordered it. I am so glad I did. It was so delicious and their potatoes are too. My MIL ordered a regular Monte Cristo, so I photographed the two side by side. She enjoyed her Monte Cristo too. My DH tried both Montes and said that anyone would be hard pressed to say that the gluten free one was gluten free. He said both were very good. Unfortunately, he was disappointed with his choice of a burger. I tried a little bite of the meat and didn't care for it either. I'd gladly return for the GF Monte Cristo and I know he'd try something other than a burger. read more

Friendly and efficient staff and mostly tasty food. i know they are a new business and have great potential. They need to figure out how to serve meals to 3-4 people at the same time and be able to keep the hot foods served hot and not cold. Their dinners are the best! read more

Great brunch and breakfast menu. The crab cakes and the fried chicken with croffel were ultra delicious. We sat outside with out our dog who loved the McStupid muffin with cheese egg and sausage. Service was superb and I highly recommend this place. read more

Thinking that we were going to Bogie's Too, instead we found that it is now under new ownership with and entirely new menu that they refer to as Pacific Rim Fusion. While I was looking at the menu and being a bit crabby because what I had intended to order from the Bogie's menu was not no longer available, my wife was looking around and commenting on how lovely the restaurant looked. We shared two dishes from the lunch section of the menu and immediately discovered that we had found a new go to restaurant. The food was delicious. They also offer a wide variety of breakfast/brunch selections including many varieties of egg Benedict. The service was great and very friendly. Spoke with the Chef who as recently relocated to Marin after running a Thai restaurant in Oakland for over 20 years and he told us that they are planning on opening for dinner sometime around mid-May. Can't wait to see will be be on that menu and try it out. They no longer have a hard alcohol liquor license but based on the food and overall ambiance, I'll look past that. This just might be a new special find in San Rafael. read more

We stopped in this week for brunch, and were very impressed with the service, the food and the ambiance. Servers were very helpful and welcomed us in. We got a table right away even though it was close to the lunch hour -- I suspect they'll be crowded before too long, The coffee was excellent, even the decaf! My husband likes to order Monte Cristos if it's on the menu anywhere he goes, and he thought this was one of the best he'd had in the bay area. I went with the veggie egg white omelette, subbing fruit for the potatoes. The fruit was fresh and generous, and the omelette was delectable - grilled diced onions, avocado and spinach. There were also some interesting Asian-influenced items on the menu, including Ube and Matcha lattes, a loco-moco and a bahn mi. We'll have to try some of those next time! read more

Came for lunch mid-week based on a recommendation from a friend who works nearby. Not crowded at all. The space and artwork are great. Service was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the pork bahn mi sandwich, and it was excellent. Nice attention to detail. I should have taken a pic, but it looked so good I reach for and ate it too quickly! Not inexpensive, but the quality and presentation made up for it. I'll be back! read more

Tutu Lounge is an excellent find! I have been for breakfast and dinner and it has been amazing! Food is so delicious and it is an absolute gem. Flavors are so rich and delicious- fun drinks too! Nice atmosphere as well. This restaurant will definitely be on my rotation- especially since I want to try everything! read more

New restaurant in downtown San Rafael on Fourth Street. The food was very tasty... I had the BBQ Pork Banh Mi and it was excellent. (There was a piece of gristle that should have been removed from the pork but it was easily remedied). Service was good.. waitress explained the options and was very accommodating to our group. My friend and I went to dinner at Tutu. Lounge a new restaurant on 4th street. Everything we had was excellent!! The food has a nod to Thai/Asian cuisine so it's a great place to go with several people so you can order many dishes and share. Those that were seated around us were also very pleased with their dinners. They are also open for breakfast/brunch/lunch and that menu looks delicious as well. I guarantee you'll be pleased if you choose to give it a try. read more

After reading a review on Next Door I decided to have dinner there last night with a friend. Quality of the food and the presentation was just great. The owners are just lovely making it an all-over great experience. It is priced reasonably for what you get, and the environment is highlighted with wonderful art. Wonderful overall experience tonight at Tutu Lounge on 4th Street in Downtown San Rafael. They just started serving dinners here last week. Pacific Rim food options were very tasty and fresh. We enjoyed delicious, great quality Vietnamese rolls and Banana Leaf Salmon. Service was excellent and ambiance wonderful with large, vibrant paintings on walls with high ceilings. We, also, enjoyed our dessert choices of creme brulee and coconut ice cream. Hope you take the opportunity to check it out. You will not regret this! read more

No question, this is the BEST thai fusion restaurant in Marin. They started in Berkeley and are now open in San Rafael. We ate brunch last week I had their pancakes with thai ice tea sauce and fresh fruit it was great. We went back last night for dinner. Their shrimp pad thai is the best I have ever had, their spring rolls are outstanding, the Mannesmann curry chicken was wonderful, even their peanut sauce was delicious. The quantity of food is very good and their prices, considering everywhere else, are reasonable. You really need to try it. Once you do you will be hooked. read more
