Authentic as it gets! The drinks are strong and delicious! The food is scrumptious! Wait staff was friendly and a blast to talk to. We sat outside and it was lovely under their covered roof. There's little covered nooks too but we were a party of four.

I went to tuza taco on a Thursday lunch and the yummy portions were just the right amount to fill me up. The ambience in the restaurant was very relaxed with the music at a steady volume and fun beachy colors painting the walls. The service was so kind and considerate without feeling overwhelming. As for the food, I went for a veggie and steak taco. I added some lime as well as the queso we got as an appetizer and they both tasted so delicious. Free parking is available via a few spots in the front as well as around the back !

The food here is excellent! Formerly from Southern California, it's tough for us to find Mexican food in Georgia that's as good as it is out west. This is our fave we've found in Georgia. Last Thursday night, the cashier rang up our order incorrectly. Among other things we ordered, we had one grilled fish taco and one fried fish taco. She rang them both up as shrimp and we didn't realize until they brought them to our table. The kitchen promptly started correcting the error. We were late getting there due to traffic, so we were rushed getting to Cirque do Soleil. I got my fried fish taco, but we were still waiting for the grilled fish taco and we didn't want to be late so we had to leave. As we were pulling out of the parking lot, we saw the Manager running behind us with the grilled fish taco in a To Go bag! Now that's great service! In additional to excellent food, their heart to serve will bring us back again and again.

I love finding tucked away, fun Mexican/taco spots in the city. I think Atlanta shockingly has some really great ones. I can now add Tuza Taco to that list! When you pull into the lot, you can already tell you're in for a treat. Guests order and pay under a metal awning in the parking lot before they sit. I like how the menu is simple, yet offers something for every pallet. My first visit, I ordered three tacos- fried fish, pork belly, and carne asada. I also got a passion fruit margarita and shared chips and queso with my husband. After ordering, you take your order number to one of there many tables in a cute, outdoor gazebo or inside the restaurant. We decided to sit outside this day, and I was happy we did. Our food came out very fast! Everything was delicious! It was fresh and flavorful. My favorite was the fried fish taco. They cooked the fish in beer batter, which was out of this world! It was the best fish taco I've ever had! Honestly, Tuza is now on my top list of taco shops in the city. Definitely a must go with friends or even on a fun date.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the heat and the prices I would recommend this place for any day of the week. The food is all really good, fresh and has good flavor. Not too spicy or salty. But for the price... hmmmmm I'm not so sure about that. I sat outside for lunch because I wasn't very sure about where to go. There is an inside sitting area but I don't think people were in that space so I just sat in an outdoor cubby thing. They could use some fans in them. Small ones that run off solar power with timers to not waste energy. And more covered buckets that hold the forks and paper towels. A little outside dust builds character! During the fall though, I imagine this place is PACKED! It's aesthetically please, the music is good and the food is tasty. For me, just a little more over priced than I would like to pay for 3 tacos. They were $5 each (I think the chicken and steak should've been $3.50 each and the shrimp $4.50 but that's just me!) and the rice and beans weren't bad at $3. A great portion too. The Ranch Water was $14!! Some nearby places sell theirs for around $9.50-12. Overall, if it's pay day, please go! It's delicious. You won't be disappointed but your wallet might want to take the rest of the day off.

I love Tuza! The food here is amazing, although somewhat overpriced. On my last visit I tried the taquitos special, which was 3 fried taquitos for $10. It was topped with cheese, sour cream, and lettuce, and also came with a little cup of salsa. It was a good value and was filling and tasty. (I have tried the tacos on prior visits and find them all to be very delicious, but I have a hard time paying $5 or more for a single taco). We also got two appetizers, the queso dip with chips and the street corn. Both were also very tasty, and I would definitely order the queso again. This restaurant has counter service, but the server who brought out our food came around several times to see how we were doing and to remove any empty plates, which was a nice touch.

We're disappointed we didn't try this spot sooner! The food is freshly made and all very delicious. You can tell they put a lot of thought into each factor of the tacos. They made our food quickly and they had a nice patio out back so we were able to bring our dogs.

One of my top two favorite spots around Atlanta. It's a perfect date night type of place. Prices aren't bad and the tacos are delicious. Drinks are pretty strong and good. Service is elite. It's pretty much of a popular neighborhood type of place but I've had some good drunken nights here.

I stopped by for dinner after a kickball game and celebrating 404 Day and this meal did not disappoint. You orde outside first. I ordered birria tacos and a watermelon mango cafillac margarita. I was amazed by the menu options. I definitely have to tty the lobster birria next time. The food was absolutely amazing and dare I say one of the top birrias I've ttied in Atlanra. I will definitely be back.

Excellent little taco place! I've wanted to come here for a while, and I wasn't disappointed. The food is fresh - corn tortillas made right in front of you. Tuva is small and quaint with a bar! I didn't try the margaritas this time, but I definitely will when I come back. We ordered an assortment of tacos (chicken, brisket, and shrimp) and all were delicious. I also tried the jalapeno cheese rice. It was a little cheesier than expected, but perfect with chips. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I have a gluten sensitivity and everything here is gluten free (corn tortillas only). I tried to get more pictures, but everyone was already digging in. read more

I'm sad I didn't take any pictures, but this place is soooo cute and the food was delicious!! My daughter got the steak taco and she loved it! I got the birria tacos and we shared the chips, queso and guacamole. All of it was really good. The customer service was excellent and everyone was super friendly! Will return soon! read more

Delicious food. A mix of modern and traditional Mexican cuisine. Would come here a thousand more times. Definitely try the carnitas taco and big fish taco! Esquites (street corn) was very good as well. Strawberry margarita is also strong with good flavor!! Will definitely be back next time I'm in ATL! read more

I'm not sure about all the rave reviews here The fish taco is outstanding! I have to give them that. Margs are good. Steak taco was weird steamed chewy beef. It didn't taste very good. Pastor was no where close to traditional pastor. It had some interesting flavors, but not sold on it at all. I will go back for fish tacos for sure. Everything else seems questionable read more

The new Atlanta street taco kings. Tacos have authentic and fresh flavors, but are assembled with an elevated style. The corn tortillas may be the best I've ever had. Made to order fresh, right in front of you. The salsa and hot sauce are house made and taste amazing. The staff were personable and on top of it. Our food came out quickly. Tuza Taco is definitely going to be a new favorite in the upper Westside area. The location is easy to access and there's plenty of parking around back. The tacos are better than any I've had in Atlanta. Tortillas are made fresh in front of you, steak is grilled and sliced fresh for each taco, and the vegetables are all fresh. The owners are friendly and highly involved, and told us about plans for a dog-friendly patio, an afternoon happy hour tapas menu, and live music at the bar in the evening. Found this place on Yelp. Thought it was cute and they had really good reviews! Was very excited to come. I ordered my food downstairs & the host was patient and sweet. I had a lot of questions and he answered them all without an issue. Thanks dude! Once I got upstairs... I was still confused on how they would know what meal was for me since I didn't have a table number or anything. Literally after 5-7 minutes of sitting down my order came! SWEET! Dragon fruit margarita... YUM! I'll be back for the drinks for sure but the tacos??? Ehhhh not so much. The chicken was okay. Steak tasted funny... I tried swallowing it but I just couldn't I ended up putting it in a napkin. I felt so rude but something about the steak taco didn't sit well with me. This new spot totally exceeded our expectations. We heard great things about it when it first opened, and it definitely lives up to the hype. The hand-made tortillas are better than some I've had in Mexico. The real star is the carnitas tacos. They are amazing! They have a hint of sweetness, which balances well with lime squeezed on top. The prices are very reasonable, and the decor is great. Kids will enjoy all of the selections, not just what's on the kids menu. This is a great addition to this area. The owner is super nice, too, so go check it out, and frequent it often! read more

Wow...I want to call this an unknown gem but I bragged to lots of folks about it and they already knew about it . BUT if you're going here...GET THE BIG FISH TACO. It's the best taco I've had in a while. I do not know how they get the fix to fry so perfectly and so round and delicious but they do it FANTASTICALLY. The guac was FRESH and vibrant as well. I must say, I came here when they first opened and they were amazing. The tacos, the nachos, and especially the margaritas were the best. Today's visit, not so much. The margaritas quality isn't as good. The meat was really grizzly. The corn tortillas were store bought, the toppings on the tacos did not add anything to the taco. We then decided to get chips and salsa with some of their jalapeño cheese rice. I was thinking, that's simple, no way it could be bad. They brought out pico de Gallo, not salsa. The cheese rice tasted like uncle Ben's instant rice, with a spoon of queso on top, and fresh jalapeños as garnish. To be honest, I was disappointed because I was looking forward to having this again. read more

I went based on high Yelp reviews and Tuza Tacos was definitely a treat. I ordered the steak and big fish tacos along with queso. Friend had fish and shrimp tacos along with salsa. We both ordered house margaritas. Everything was fresh and tasty, with a slight twist. I've had better queso, but honestly we ate it all! Don't waste your time!! Customer service is the worst!!! Owner not offering third party delivery service, Just FYI!! Definitely NOT returning and if you want better tacos, better service go to RReal Tacos in Midtown or Velvet Tacos in Buckhead, you'll thank me!!! I'm not mad about them not offering delivery, I'm Appalled the way the owner handled the call and situation. I'm sure I'll get a GREAT response from the business owner Jason just like others have. I Ordered the fish and shrimp taco. It was tasty, but the fish lacked seasoning. It was bland, but hot so I added their amazing pico(which they advertise as salsa) onto it and gave it some flavor. The shrimp tacos were good. The only downside is I wished they had traditional "taco shop" salsa that's puréed. The guys that took my order were very pleasant and the inside dining area was very clean. read more

Moved over to the Westside a few months ago and have had a number of people tell us to try Tuza. We finally got around to it and are glad that we did! Tuza is an unassuming little place that is very affordable for the quality of food. Everything was very good and the check was light! You order with the cashier and then find a table. They have a good variety of beers and I've heard the margaritas are great as well, but I wasn't able to try. Come check this place out if you're looking for a fast casual place that serves some solid stuff! read more

Been wanting to come here for a while and finally did. Wouldn't change a thing. The guacamole was exactly the way we make it at home. Tomatoes onion lime cilantro and the guacamole was fresh with just the right amount of chunks. We had the steak, classic, shrimp, fish tacos. All were exactly what you want when you're looking for straight forward home made tacos. The rice and beans add well. There's a very popular taqueria not far from here where people wait in line. I finally tried it a few months ago and wasn't impressed. Will definitely come here when on the Westside. Thanks for taking pride in you business Tuza! read more

If I could give this place zero stars... I WOULD! The taco pictured was $4!! You're better off going to a chain restaurant like Del Taco over this spot... or hell even just getting some actual authentic tacos from Taco La Villa... authentic tacos don't cost $4/taco AND come fully dressed, NOT drizzled in this green sauce w/a lil sprinkle of cheese! Tuza Taco is basically a cheaper, more authentic version of BarTaco! The GUACAMOLE is some of the best I have ever had! Drinks were very affordable as well. Food tasted so fresh, I tried the fish and pork belly tacos. I will definitely be going back, as this place is so close to home for me! read more

Sometimes, a place just warms your heart. That's Tuza. The service is always friendly and kind, but tonight the staff took it to the next level. During our dinner, a huge rain shower touched down. Seeing that we were preparing to make a run for it, a server insisted on going to get us an umbrella and then ran out it in the rain to get it - once we were safely deposited into our warm car. With bellies full of tasty tacos, this was the sugar on the churro so to speak. So grateful for this neighborhood gem! read more

Absolutely loved my experience at Tuza! The Barbacoa tacos were the best I've had in Atlanta hands down. If you see those bad boys of deliciousness on the menu, do yourself a favor and buy a couple... or 5. Located about 1.5 miles from my apartment, I frequently stop in on my way to Monday Night Brewery. This is a great spot to hang with your friends or have a picnic-ky little date night with your significant other. My favorite Taco spot in Atlanta and my favorite locally owned business to turn my friends on to. Keep up the great work, team! Also, the owner is a complete savage in some of his review responses. This only adds to my love for the Tuza team. read more

Wonderful addition to the flowering restaurant scene in West Midtown. Tacos are delicious - I especially enjoy the shrimp, fish (cod), and carnitas tacos. My only gripe is that the tacos are smedium (four tacos provide for a satisfying meal)! The guacamole is made-to-order and is delicious as well. Margaritas are delicious and hit pretty well. I absolutely recommend Tuza, and I am a repeat customer who has always been very happy with my experience and the food. read more

EXTREMELY rude! & unsanitary. They make your food without gloves and I asked if they can remake it with gloves and he said NO we will not. I just got food poising from a restaurant because of nasty people like this. You don't play with peoples food. I will be contacting the BBB. This place needs to be shut down and I'm calling the health department!!! We are still in a pandemic. I watched the cook wipe his nose then rinse it with water. EXTREMELY GROSS!!!! It's funny how the owner lies and says I was Cursing which I wasn't. The owner told me to wear gloves all because I asked him to wear gloves while cooking food. We ARE IN A PANDEMIC for crying out loud. How about you check the way you talk to returning customers in front of customers. Never will I ever go to an establishment that talks to me like I'm trash.
