If you're looking for a casual spot to eat outside that follows covid protocols, this is the place for you! I've lived in this area for over a year and have driven passed Tuza hundreds of times before finally trying it, and I have definitely been missing out. Their new outdoor deck is what finally drew my attention to give it a try and I was very happy with my experience. We went with the tacos, but the menu offers a few other options including bowls, burritos and quesadillas. I recommend the tacos though because they were some of the best tacos I've had in a while! 2-3 tacos is plenty and around $4 each, so I'd say the pricing is very reasonable. In addition, we ordered guacamole and of some tasty margaritas. Everything was great! I was extremely satisfied in their covid protocol. You can enjoy a meal here without ever stepping foot inside because orders are taken in an open garage area down below the restaurant. The staff brings out the food to you when it's ready. I really really love this restaurant for a great place to eat for covid. Located in west midtown, this cute taco shop is right off howell mill rd and has ample parking! Due to covid, they have a great order system! You can order it as carry out and then enjoy their nice as i like to call it marg garden which is a cute colorful patio with multiple tables and seats! The staff was all very good about their mask usage and i constantly saw them cleaning the tables as people left! The guy who took my order was super nice and i appreciate his kindness and guidance on what he recommended! For dinner, i got the mango margarita which was I was so impressed with how strong and big it was for the price! I would def come back for the margs! Tacos i got one pork belly taco and two fish tacos! the pork belly was pretty tough to eat texture wise and i would figure it would melt in my mouth! This restaurant is in West Midtown, pretty close to the I-75 exit, right off of the 75-85 merge. I went to get a takeout for a meal on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere of the place is well decorated inside and out. There's also an outdoor eating place too with lots of seatings. Due to COVID, they opened up an another ordering kiosk right in front of the back parking-lot in their garage, which is very appreciated. The staff was friendly. The tacos here are little bigger than usual, I'd say approximately 1.5x the size of a traditional taco. There are other ingredients and sauces that are not usually in tacos (at least the ones I've had). Nonetheless, the flavors and ingredients worked well together to create unique tastes of individual tacos. I got the steak, fish, and pork belly tacos out of the staff recommendation. The steak and fish are the most popular. Personally, I found the steak to be very tough. It was an unusual downside out of the entire meal experience. The other two were great, especially the fish taco. Very well flavored and cooked. I'm not sure if the steak was overcooked on just that day or it usually is. Looking through the reviews, it seems like it's probably a one-off case. The price is a bit higher than other taco places as well even after accounting for the bigger size. Been coming here a while now and just realizing I need to give them a review! Easily best authentic Mexican food in Atlanta. Tacos are gas fire, burritos have to be best burritos I've ever eaten. Service is always amazing. Environment is great considering you're getting authentic tacos. You usually only get those in convenience stores lol. $5 for a taco is a little steep but in my opinion SO worth it, and I usually hate on expensive tacos. Came in for dinner last Friday with some friends. We got there around 6pm. It wasn't packed, but there were quite a few people. They have some parking out back. We didn't have any issues parking but I can see where it would be tricky if it was more crowded! You order outside around back. They bring your food to you after you seat yourself. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. We sat outside on the porch with the fans since it was a bit hot out. My fiancé and I got an order of the birria tacos special as well as one big fish taco and one steak taco and a side of rice and beans. Our order came out quickly! The birria comes with 2 tacos, so we each ate one. It was tasty and comes with the broth for dipping. The fish taco was my favorite! Two large pieces of fried fish with delicious slaw and sauce! You need quite a few and that adds up when its 4-5 dollars per taco. The burritos were so so but their quesadillas are normal! No complaints. I absolutely love Tuza! My family and I come here all the time! Everything about it is so convenient including the outdoor ordering and the fact that they are dog friendly. The food is also really delicious and they have some really great sauces available to put on your food. I'm a vegetarian and I always find plenty to eat here. You have to try the guac if you visit Tuza. It's so delicious. I normally get a veggie burrito and I am so full after! The prices are reasonable and the staff is always friendly. There are so many cute private areas where you can eat outside if you don't wish to sit on the patio! The interior is very nicely decorated as well. Picked up some tacos, summer corn, and queso for dinner tonight. I had higher hopes for their food, according to other reviews I read. For the good... their service was great. Friendly guys taking orders outside and extremely fast delivery to my vehicle! But for the bad... Steak tacos lacked in flavor - the chimichurri was good but the steak was pale with no color and no flavor. Brisket on the brisket tacos was tough. Campechano tacos were also lacking in flavor (chorizo should be somewhat crispy and have flavor!). Big fish taco was inedible - they clearly used burnt oil and the fish was not done (it was still translucent in the middle). Summer corn tasted like corn milk soup. Queso was plain-jane but we finished it off. Maybe the food is better in the restaurant or maybe it's because it was less than an hour from closing... but sadly it probably won't be worth a return visit. read more

Came in and the cashier seemed more interested in what was on TV than taking our order. Based on the pics and reviews, I thought this place would be a winner. Especially since it's in my neighborhood too but it's a hard pass for me. I mean the service is great. They greet you as you walk in and the staff discards your tray and dishes for you so you don't have to worry about it. I ordered the vegetarian one and added black beans. I thought I'd be getting it in a taco shell or something since I was only ordering the bowl version but no. There wasn't anything Mexican about it. It was a small size bowl of the beans, guacamole and tomatoes. And apparently if you want rice, you'll have to ask for it which I didn't understand because the taco itself comes with rice. And the cilantro/jalapeño margarita? Way salty. No bueno. Its a nice size place and they have live music - giving off a coffee shop vibe. And it stays busy. It was heartwarming to witness his genuine kindness and willingness to accommodate every customer, even during the final closing minutes. I was equally impressed by the exceptional staff working at Tuza. They were not only efficient but also incredibly attentive. Even after the restaurant had officially closed, the staff members took the time to check on each guest on the patio, making sure we were enjoying our meals and had everything we needed. It was evident that they took immense pride in their work and genuinely cared about their customers' satisfaction. Now the food, it was excellent. Tuza has the best tacos in town! I wish I had gotten a photo of the tacos, but they were so delicious I didn't even get a chance! Firstly I got the carnita taco, chicken taco, and carne asada taco. These are big tacos, which is not what I was expecting for street tacos but so delicious. The carnita was the perfect balance of sweet salty and spicy and the carne asada had this verde sauce that was to die for. *food* I got the classic taco. DELICIOUS. Ground beef is both juicy and flavorful. *allergy* Now, if you have a shellfish allergy (as I do) - I spoke to them about this. From what I understood/how it was explained to me, the grill is primarily used for steak and shrimp, the shrimp being on one side only. The spatula, may or may not be used to handle both. Everything else, ground beef, etc. seems to be prepared elsewhere. Be sure to let the staff know of your allergy when you order. They were very, very accommodating about this, and they will be able to better give you an idea for your safety. That being sad, I would feel more comfortable if they had a standard allergy protocol, where they have separate utensils and grills, but that is asking for a lot of accommodation, esp for a small restaurant so I do understand that. Tasty. Simple. Fresh! The tacos at Tuza are straightforward and delicious. We tried a majority of the tacos: Big fish, Steak, shrimp, Chicken, Pork Belly and Carnitas! And that is the order I liked them from fav to least fav. They were all pretty good but The crispiness of big fish and the steak taco's zesty chimichurri style sauce make these two the clear winners for me! The best part about these tacos is that they are made on delicious corn tortillas that are not grainy and can hold up to all the protein, toppings and sauces without falling apart. The classic margaritas are delish, their sour mix is made in house so they taste really fresh and citrusy not overly sugared/syrupy. We also got queso which is standard/ good but made better with adding a few dabs of their signature hot sauce that's preset on each table. There's a good amount of indoor seating and bar seating is available. There is an outdoor patio too. The staff was attentive and the food came out quicker than expected. This place is really good. It's unusual to get delicious, fresh tacos without heading up to Buford Highway, but Tuza pulls it off. I ordered chips and salsa to start. The salsa was super fresh and tasty. I had three tacos, a shrimp taco, a carnita taco, and the classic taco. The shrimp and carnita were both really good, but the classic taco was the most interesting. It's a hard taco shell with ground beef, lettuce and cheese, just like you probably had at a school cafeteria growing up, but so much better. I'd go back just to order several of those. You order at the counter and the food comes out quickly. They also have a full bar if you would like a drink as well as indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is in the back and is easy. There is a door in the back of the building near where you park that leads to a staircase up to the restaurant. I enjoyed it and will go back. Definitely recommend you give it a try. read more

Finally a place in the perimeter that has authentic tacos. They make the tortillas in house and hand press them to order. My favorite tacos are the big fish and steak tacos. The big fish tacos were really flaky and have a nice bite. And don't forget the queso, guac & salsa! They also recently added elotes to the menu (on the cob), which had good flavor. The biggest selling point of this place is the tortillas. And they are gluten free. I also just love the whole vibe / color scheme of the place. Overall it's on my watch list, they got some things right but need to work on some others. Pros: pork belly tacos are on point! Handmade tortillas are excellent. Strong margs as well! Cons: ditch the bagged chips and use your handmade tortillas (cut and fried into nachos). Not sure how but the queso needs work, and less sweetness on the carnitas (balance the salt and sweet or ditch the sugar altogether) I love local shops and would enjoy this place again, hopefully this helps. read more
