It's okay for what it is - this is not "real" Chinese food, but "fast food" Chinese food. I like their made to order items better than what it out in the buffet. I REALLY like the wonderful customer service from the woman who seems to be the owner or manager - she is very nice, helpful, and always gives you (unsolicited) samples of the items on the buffet. Sometimes there is some gristle in the chicken pieces, so perhaps it isn't being cut up really well. But that is my only complaint. You get a HUGE container of food with their lunch special - it is ridiculous. So, don't come here if you are looking for a "nice" dining experience - this is definitely fast food. Today, I went to this restaurant and tried out a Chinese Fast Food. I thought to myself that this place was pretty organized on interior design, and the food looked SO good that I can taste the spice by looking at it from display. I ate the Beef Broccoli with Chicken marinated with red sauce and fried rice. The food that I picked was a good combination because the sweet ketchup on the Chicken matched perfectly with a well balanced salty beef broccoli that went well with fried rice. The chef who makes the foods DOES have a culinary artistic taste to serve a fine meal for us. It is hard to find a tasty Chinese fast food because most of the Chinese fast food doesn't know how to balance and create a delicious food. Other Chinese Fast Food Restaurant cooks it either overcooked and/or tasteless that it is confusing. This rating is based upon FAST FOOD restaurants and is not an equal rating to fine dining experiences. prices are above average food quality is also above average though. parking is rather tight and could be annoying service is prompt, and always friendly. In the Chinese "FAST FOOD" world, this would be considered the gourmet top of the line place to go. Service was so good. I called ahead and said I was going to serve a group of 10 people and the order I had in mind was way more than I needed. The owner helped me figure out the appropriate order (and saved me a good amount of money!!!). She even gave me a free side of white rice just in case. AND THEN she helped me to my car. This was AMAZING! We were looking for a chinese place to eat that was good. While looking for apartments, the landlord had told us about this place. Their meals are amazingly priced she said, so we said what the hay! Once we got there, I got a little scared because it looked a lot like Panda Express so I was a bit skeptical. After seeing the prices my mind said "even if its bad...you cant beat the price!" Then comes the food.... AMAZING! It was hands down the best chinese fast food I had! We've been here multiple times. One of the best fast food Chinese restaurants in Orange county. They have many selections of ready made to go items and you can also order full sized dinner items. The chow mein is really good , not bland. The fried rice is good. I usually order kung pao chicken. It's a bit spicy but it very flavorful. I also order the spicy chicken wings. Those are are my favorite. The prices are reasonable. You get a 2 item meal and chow mein which also includes soup and salad for $8.75. The portions are large enough to share. When we're around this area and craving good quality, great tasting Chinese food, this is our go to place. I don't recommend coming on Fridays at dinner time, they are really busy and can barely keep up with orders. read more

I've been going to twin dragon whenever I go back home for years now, the people there are wonderfully sweet (I mean how many chinese food places bombard you with samples when you walk through the door?) The shop is well maintained, it is fastfood chinese food, but it's good fast food chinese food, and if you ask they'll even make what you order fresh. I've come in when they were close to closing and I've always been greeted with a smile and 5 free samples. As well as her remembering me and asking how I'm doing in school. I must say, I am super impressed by this place! Usually I'm very skeptical with fast Chinese food but with the quality and amount of food that they give, you really can't complain!! The fried rice and chow mein were so yummy! I also got the beef broccoli and spicy tofu which just made my mouth water with each bite. Not too heavy on the greasy side either! As my friend from Hong Kong says, "You can always tell how good a Chinese restaurant is by their Hot & Sour Soup." This rule was definitely true with Twin Dragon. Their soup was free, which was a huge red flag. Hot & Sour Soup done right isn't cheap and would never be given away free. Theirs was more like wonton soup broth crossed with egg drop soup. The flavor was fine, it was just neither hot nor sour. Like most sub-par H&S soups, I added a soy sauce and chili sauce packet and it improved the flavor somewhat. But still very blah. I ordered a 2-item combo with Kung Pao Chicken and Firecracker Chicken. Both had decent/average flavor, but they had been overcooked. This wasn't an issue where the food was old...I arrived right after they opened for the day. It was just really chewy, with some of the smaller pieces being borderline jerkyish. The chow mein was the big spaghetti-type noodles. I normally prefer the smaller noodles, but at least these weren't mushy/overcooked. So many new food places are popping up around lately that I can barely try them all - the latest one being Twin Dragon. Seeing the sign for the first time a week ago in the new plaza next to my place created images of playing Double Dragon as a kid, which definitely did not entice me enough to want to try the place - however a few days later I found their menu on my car window at work and after seeing that it was a Chinese fast food place touting "healthy" options I figured why not? Fast forward to tonight where both me and my gf were to lazy to make dinner so I figured this would be a good opportunity to try take out from this place. For a Monday night this place was surprisingly busy with about 10 customers - especially since the 4 stores next to it - all with grand opening signs (the plaza just finished construction a few weeks ago) - were completely empty. They were advertising a "grand opening" special of order any 2 item combo and get a free salad/soup so that's what I got and while waiting in line one of the workers kept giving out free samples! Instead of the standard fried rice/chow mein they were willing to substitute the fried rice for stir fry vegetables which is a huge plus, and on top of the salt & pepper calamari + Mongolian short ribs the nice Chinese lady also gave me some free black bean bean sprouts and a desert! So why the 3 stars? I really want to give this place a 4, if not 5 stars, but most of the food had way too much salt. The stir fry vegetables and especially the calamari was bursting with salt while the Mongolian short ribs was not bad and drenched with oil. The salad for some odd reason was 80% fried wanton skin and 20% vegetables - which was still good but weird non the less and the egg flower soup was typical. The desert was a tapioca soup that had a caramel flan taste to it - nothing I've had before but it still had a familiar Chinese taste to it - and the black bean bean sprouts was cooked just right - both of the free items turned out to be the things I liked the most out of everything I had so far! I'll definitely be back here since it's only 2 blocks away from where I live but it's not one of the places I think I'll ever have an "urge" for like I do for Saigon Noodle House or L&L's that are both nearby as well. read more

Drive to LA Habra location... the one in Placentia was terrible. We like the one in La Habra and decided to give this one a shot the other night while my son was at soccer training down the street. The chicken was dry and stringy. The hot n sour soup was bland. The entire meal tasted of fish oil... which I like but not in every dish... Ordered a kids meal.. no substitution for the firecracker chicken over the menu listed Orange chicken... that's fine I guess but the kids meal comes with a drink so they just slapped a sprite can on the counter and didn't even ask what my 9 to year old wanted to drink... not soda.. I hate Chinese Fast Food. It's pretty disgusting. But Twin Dragon still gets five stars from me because their food is actually delicious and fresh and authentic. The chef/owners used to work at 369 Shanghai Place in Anaheim. The sweet woman at the counter has been serving me food for the last two decades. I haven't had too much of the scoop and serve stuff that's out front, but what I did have (broccoli & beef, a tofu dish) was fresh and delightful. No wilted food lamp warmed food here. Everything tasted as if it was freshly wok'd. My mom orders off the "secret menu" which at Chinese restaurants is really just whatever you fancy. In this case, mostly Shanghainese style food. If you're a Mandarin speaker, I suggest asking her what she can make for you ;D The staff is amazing and very accommodating. It's Chinese Fast Food done right. Panda Express? Wok Experience? Pick Up Stix? Hong Kong Express? They all need to take a seat and start taking some notes because the "Twin Dragon" has Chinese togo food done right. I've been to this establishment twice now. The first time I came through, there was an older Chinese lady working the front with her husband cooking in the kitchen which is open for viewing as you are walking through. I was greeted immediately and as I was browsing their options, I was bombarded with offers to sample just about anything I was looking at. Notable choices would be their Firecracker Chicken and Grandfather Chicken. The fried rice was alright... it didn't really jump out at me. The Chow Mein on the other hand had surprised me with quite a bit of flavor. The second time I stopped by for lunch here, there was a different person running the front. I had read in another review that the regular employees, as opposed to the owners, were a lot less generous as far as servings go. Well I'd have to say otherwise. The worker gave just as much as the Chinese lady did. He wasn't so aggressive at offering samples but still gave them upon request. They have this wonderful $6.50+tax special going on. It includes: 2 entrees Fried Rice and/or Chow Mein Soup Salad That's a deal if I've ever seen one. The soup is a corn flower soup and is pretty delectable. The salad was made right in front of me in a salad bowl. Meaning it wasn't pre-mixed and sitting somewhere waiting for purchase. One of the workers were sweeping the floor but as soon as I parked my car in front of their soor, she stopped sweeping and placed herself at the counter ready to take my order. It's unusual to find a place with a combination of great food and exceptional service. This place has it all. My wife and I were very please with food we ordered. The cook and the server were the best ones yet. The 2 item combos are just right for a take-out night. The BBq sauce in this place is to die for and their rice really tasty. This place is great from head (tasty food) to toe (excellent service). The food tastes AMAZING and the portions are very generous. I always have leftovers that taste good even when I reheat them. Also, every time I come, the woman or man who serve me are so kind and happy. This place has no downside to me. I'm a sucker for any good Chinese food joint, but this place is always my default. I've lived in the Fullerton/ Placentia area for almost three years now, and I only got around to stopping by and trying this place tonight. Now, I know I can't speak for everyone else, but when I get sick, I sometimes get food cravings. Tonight I was craving some chinese, and was too tired/ lacking ingredients to cook it at home, so to yelp I went~ I realize I have driven by it on multiple occasions but instead have continued to go to the Wok Experience off of Kraemer. I got there around 8:00pm, and found the lady who works there chatting outside with the owners of the water store next to them. When she saw me get out of my car, she smiled and greeted me, asked how my day was, and led me into the restaurant. Now for a sick person who has been feeling miserable all day, let me tell you, the genuine friendliness was a bit surprising and very much appreciated. I was immediately offered several samples of the food, and found that despite the time, everything tasted delicious and freshly made. (I also got there in time for the cooks to bring out a fresh batch of fried rice.) I ordered the two item combo and got the firecracker chicken and Grandfather Chicken. The combo came with Hot and sour soup and a salad as well. The salad was surprisingly good, though unless it came with the combo I wouldn't go out of my way to ask for it. (crisp greens, crunchy wonton strips, and a lightly sweet dressing.) The soup was delicious, just the right thickness too. The two chicken dishes I got were amazing. (or this could be my sickness talking, I'll update again once I go back when I'm not sick.) Overall it was very good quality fast food. This place is awesome. It's a lot like Panda Express except a bit cheaper, bigger portions, and the food tastes better! They have many different things like Kung Pao, Orange Chicken, Firecracker Chicken, and Grandfather Chicken. All of these taste wonderful, but they do all taste kinda similar to each other. Entree's come with Fried rice (which is way better than Panda Express) or Chow Mein, and they also come with a soup. This was the only thing that was subpar. It was eggdrop soup with corn which I thought just tasted really weird. To sum up- Cheap food. Big portions. A double entree can be shared by two people. Awesome food! A lovely surprise in this little center in Brea! Delicious and fresh Chinese food, generous portions, excellent prices! We had the $6.95 lunch special which included 2 entree choices, choice of rice or chow mein (or get both, half n half style), a small salad and a cup of simply Fab Hot & Sour Soup. I am a bit of a hot & sour aficionado and this one hits the spot. (I'm not a fan of overly chunky and complicated H&S soup, this one is just perfectly pure goodness). On a rainy day I stopped in to grab a quick bite. Turns out they loaded my two item combo with BOMBASTIC grandfather and firecracker chicken. So rich with flavor without being overly saturated. The firecracker has a small spice an hint of a crunch, while the grandfather was savory and sweet. Spicy egg drop soup was thick from starch but had better flavor than most sitdown chinese restaurants. If I had another choice between with other Wok down the street, Id choose Twin Dragon again. I frequent the La Habra location quite often and this place is awful. Lady was super rude and starts telling me prices before I even order. I ask for menu items and she won't make them into combos. First ever visit tonight. Had chow mein/fried rice with curry and spicey fire dragon chicken. With the combo came a small cup of salad and a small cup of hot & sour soup with tofu in it. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted with a following of different samples of all their entrees. The first was the typical orange chicken which I thought was kind of watery. After several more samples, I settled on my choices that I listed above. For the price, value of food, and warm reception, I gave this place 4 out of 5 stars. Great quality fast chinese food! It still tasted fresh and not like it had been sitting out for hours. Loved the chow mein... could've passed on the fried rice- it was kind of dry and grainy. The best part is that the portions are huge! I got a two item combo and it lasted me three meals. What I tried: firecracker chicken (awesome), kun pao chicken (awesome), egg flower soup (awesome), salad (not worth it unless you get it free), chow mein (good), fried rice (bleh). I lucked out because the day I went in, two item combos were discounted and it came with free soup and salad... so I got out with a ton of food for $7 even! Paranoid from prior experiences with Chinese take-out in the area because of an awful experience at Pick Up Stix, I made sure this time to review yelp a little this time and found this place. SERVICE AND SETTING I ordered ahead of time by phone. The woman clearly had an accent but understood me very clearly and was easy enough to understand. When I went in to pick up my food, there was a couple trying several different items and the woman called someone from the back to serve me. I ordered an item to be prepared fresh and it was ready 10 minutes later. It's very clean inside and they have a few tables if you want to eat there. FOOD AND VALUE Brown Rice: It's available at 50 cents extra charge. It was cooked perfectly and not soggy like some places tend to prepare it. Black Pepper Beef: I prefer more garlic and pepper in mine, but it was fresh, tender, and came in a pretty good portion. The onions and bell peppers served with it were crunchy. Not the most flavorful black pepper beef I've ever had, but it didn't leave me feeling terribly greasy either. Dinner came out to 9$; a little high for Chinese take-out, but the portions are big and the meal I ordered was fresh. The heat-lamp items are cheaper, if I remember correctly. CONCLUSION There aren't a lot of Chinese options in the area, but Twin Dragon is clean and serves their food fresh. If you're in the area and craving Chinese, I would highly recommend this place over the nearby (and terrible) Pick Up Stix. I plan on returning regularly. read more

I came here for lunch on a weekday at 11 am with some classmates. The restaurant opens at that time and no entree items had yet been made. The good thing about that was that everything we ordered was made fresh. The downside was having to wait an additional 20 mins for the food to be made. I ordered the $5.45 lunch special with my classmates, which comes with two entree items, steamed/fried rice or chow mein, and a soup and salad. The soup was really bland and was like thick water. The salad had the components of a good salad, but the dressing was a little bit funky. The garlic chicken and beef and broccoli I got were pretty good for the entree items and the fried rice/chow mein was...meh, nothing special. All in all, the food quality isn't too great. Something along the lines of a 2.5/5, but the saving point was they gave a lot of food. I was reallllly hungry so it just felt good to eat that much food. One of my classmates mentioned that it's a lot like a panda express, which I would totally agree with. After such a long time of running right across the street to get Panda Express, over time I got a bit tired and bored of their food. I love some quick American Chinese, but I needed something that just *wasn't* Panda for once... The employees here are always really friendly and welcome you and smile. There aren't a whole lot of choices, but I enjoyed the flavor of the entrees here. They always have bbq pork ready, which I usually have to wait a good 10 minutes elsewhere. It's a bit greasy and most of the meat entrees are a bit bogged down with sauce, but the flavor still stands out more and they've got a great lunch special that comes with soup, two entrees and a side for $5.99.
