Parking was easy, no wait to be seated on a Thursday evening and service was prompt and also checked up on us throughout the meal. Szechuan eggplant - so yum, arrived piping hot, it was coated in a super thin breading first before being fried and then coated in the Szechuan sauce. Slightly spicy, tangy and sweet, the classic Szechuan eggplant. Fish with veggies - loved how light but flavorful this dish was. Tender fish filet with garlic and a bunch of veggies, doesn't look very flavorful but it was very good! Would get again as a lighter dish compared to the others. Garlic pork - 魚香肉絲 this is typically my favorite dish in Chinese restaurants and saw it titled similarly in the menu but realized it's not cut into 絲 and it included celery, which the dish typically does not include. Not complaining though, the flavor was still great and I loved the dish, just different than what I expected. Sesame chicken - similar to orange chicken but without the orange flavor. Came piping hot and had good pieces of chicken within the breading. Sweet and sour, liked the flavor alot. The dishes came with rice! Would totally come back again to try the other dishes. Husband and I came in on recommendation from a friend. I ordered the lunch special, which was the chow mein & kung pao chicken that came with an egg roll and egg soup. My husband ordered the seafood boil style shrimp. We also ordered extra egg rolls for appetizers. The egg rolls came out instantly! They were soggy and cold. Did not come with any dipping sauce either. The chow mein had a shrimp taste to it, a strong shrimp taste! Very turned off by that. The kung pao chicken was "ok" there were more vegetables than chicken. The seafood boil style shrimp was TERRIBLE! Had very little seasoning, hardly any sauce and came lukewarm. Yuck on many levels. The service was just as bad as the food. Never checked on us ONCE or even spoke to us for that matter, after taking our order, other than to give us the bill. Rude as hell. I decided to try this restaurant after living down the street the past 22 years. 1st thing the delivery driver .. gave me he order then asked if I wanted sriracha sauce & hot chili oil. I said no on the sriracha as I have a bottle in my home & he removed it from my bag of food which I thought was weird ! The beef broccoli needs more seasoning, it was bland, but the broccoli was soft which I liked & the meat could've been cooked a little longer it was a bit too chewy for me. I ordered the shrimp chow mein which was delicious & the favorite dish out of the 3 items I ordered. Lastly, I ordered a medium size chicken fried rice. THERE WAS NO CHICKEN IN MY FRIED RICE !!! Which was very disappointing !!!! The fried rice also needed some more seasoning. IF I choose to try this restaurant again I'll probably only order the shrimp chow mein. Will update with food pictures and my thoughts on the food. So far so good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I hope she didn't get annoyed that i did not choose her recs but at the last second i decided for the house fried rice and some Hong Kong BBQ pork buns. Place looks very clean and has some cool decor, plus the pescado gang protects the customers so that's a big plus. UPDATE: everything was amazing, i ended up eating half my rice and 1 of the dumplings, then last night got hungry late and polished off the rice cold (so good) today i reheated the pork buns in my air fryer with a little bit of garlic butter and it was fantastic. Solid flavor, a good amount of beef, and I really appreciate that they pack the to go container completely full. The honey glazed walnut is also fairly good. The flavor is nice and it pairs well with rice, but it does lose its crunch pretty quickly in a to go order. The custard bunny bun is fine. Nothing bad, just nothing particularly memorable. My family and I were visiting Disney and we were craving Chinese food. This place got pretty decent reviews so we thought we'd check it out. We ordered a few items off the menu. I thought most of the items we ordered were pretty good. But there some things that could've been better. Skip the seafood boil. The shrimp was overcooked and there was no flavor at all. Also, the sausage that we added tasted more of a Costco beef hot dog than andouille sausage. For some reason, our sweet and sour pork came out without the sauce which I thought was weird so I had to ask for the sauce and it took a bit for them to come out. Also, service was pretty nonexistent. I had ask for some stuff and they just never brought it. I wish it was a better dining experience, but oh well. read more

After recently seeing Lily from OC Feed's review that she posted on Instagram, I was so ready to give China Kitchen a try. It turns out that my daugter-in-law also saw the same post, so when I recently reached out to our family to see what everyone felt like having for dinner, she suggested China Kitchen, which I was totally on board for. We picked several dishes to try - Honey Walnut Shrimp, Chow Mein, String Beans, Pork Egg Foo Young, Spicy Pork Wontons, Orange Chicken, and XLB soup dumplings. EVERYTHING was delicious!! The string beans were tasty and still had a nice little crunch, we really enjoyed the chow mein noodles, I especially liked the spicy won tons and honey walnut shrimp, plus I really enjoy egg foo young - so I tried theirs with pork, and it was pretty good - and the gravy that it came with was delicious! And I appreciate that they gave us plenty of white rice with our dishes. But what was mostly impressive is that this food tasted just as good the next day. I brought some leftovers with me for lunch and reheated it. Typically chinese food doesn't reheat too well, but theirs was just as tasty as the day before! So one extra star for being just as delicious as day one, plus we liked that they promote that they do not use MSG! My only suggestion would be that if they could expand their delivery radius. They offer free delivery for orders over $20 - but unfortunately, they won't deliver to Orange from Anaheim. But overall experience was great! And the food was delicious! We will definitely go back the next time we're craving Chinese food! read more

A heavy failure is all I can say about this spot. However, I will also say that many other reviews support an opposite view, so perhaps we can classify my visit as a rough day.. The service was absolutely terrible. The place was close to empty upon our arrival, but it still seemed like a chore for the chick to seat us. The tables filled up pretty fast there after, lunch rush for sure.. There was one waitress covering all the tables, I could tell she was stressed. A man who I assume may be the owner arrived to help, he came off less stressed and more approachable.. Food was delivered pretty quickly, sadly nothing too enjoyable. I was not aware that the fried rice was going to have mushrooms in it, the waitress left that one part out when educating me on what is included. We were told the orange chicken plate was meant for two, certainly more so a one adult portion though (with no flavor). found this spot on instagram and made the drive out to anaheim to try some more traditional chinese food and it was great! the restaurant looks more like a hole in a wall and definitely meant for family gatherings. didn't have to wait at all on a friday night even. we ordered a wide variety of chinese staples, along with their shanghai chicken xlb (not pictured) and everything was amazing! string beans had a great snap to them, proteins were nicely coated in sauce and crispy, wontons were more on the sweeter side and had a good kick to them, and their xlbs weren't too thick and had a decent amount of soup in them! portions were definitely family style but everything was decently priced! service was quick and they were nice as well, would definitely be back with a larger party to try even more items! read more

I have not had mu shu in years. The place we used to go to when I was a kid closed down, so finding it this close to my work felt like a win. We ordered beef mu shu, shrimp fried rice, and honey walnut shrimp. Everything tasted amazing. My only caveat is that the waitresses are not very friendly and do not really check on you after your food is delivered. Be sure to know what you want when they come to take your order, and try not to hesitate. Say it with your whole chest, lol. Went to dine in for the first time ever and my family and I all got a lunch special. There are 17 options for the lunch special and they all come with a soup and an egg roll. My beef broccoli was fresh hot and delicious. The veggies were juicy and crunchy. The beef wasn't chewy or tough. I enjoyed the fried rice too! The egg flour soup was tasty too. The honey walnut shrimp was a bit disappointing, the breading texture tasted slightly stale while the inside felt doughy, and it didn't have much flavor. I ended up peeling some of the breading off the shrimp. The mu shu pork had decent flavor overall, but it was extremely salty. We had China Kitchen delivered to our hotel after a long Disney Day- it was EXCELLENT! We ordered the Dry Pot Beef, pork fried rice, veggie chow mein, and crispy noodles. The portions were enough for 4 people. Online ordering was easy, delivery window was within a reasonable time and the temperature of the food was EXCELLENT. They brought plates, utensils, napkins, and plenty of sauce. We eat quite a bit of spice in our food (often), but the Dry Pot Beef was next level heat. They are easy to find with easy parking in a little shopping center. The place looked organized and clean. We were seated immediately by the friendly host. I'm giving two stars because I was disappointed with the service today. My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant more than 10 times, and we truly love it. The food is usually amazing, and the taste is always very good. The last time we visited, the service was very nice, which is why today's experience was so disappointing. I don't know the staff member's name, but she had long nails, dark red hair, and was wearing glasses. From the moment she took my order, she already had an attitude. When I ordered the sweet green tea, she acted as if she didn't understand me. I would have been happy to explain, but her attitude made both my husband and me feel uncomfortable. When she handed us the utensils, her attitude was still unfriendly. The sweet green tea was also way too sweet today. I order this drink often and usually love it, but today it was hard to enjoy. Came out Room Temperature and less tasty than the brand I bought for home. White Rice is super dry and cold. The worst chinese food I ever ate. I am Asian. The service girls did not know what they are doing barely attend to customer. No water until we asked. We feel bad to just leave the food so we ask for togo boxes and they just said "oh we have to charge you for the rice if you want it to go". So Strange eh.
