This Store are discriminating people, and I try to buy a case of beer whit my girlfriend, and I don't have my id but my girlfriend do so I left and my girlfriend is trying to buy the beer and she refused to sell to her. Love that this place is right next to HEB and steps away from a Baskin Robbins. That makes for a wild night for me, haha! Super clean facility with a wide range products, and the employees were really chill but helpful. My only issue was with the website-- I tried to order pickup, but kept getting an error message. STAY AWAY - I had an issue with an order and I returned to speak to a manager. Jesse was absolutely the worst experience I ever had at any Twins location. It's a shame as I am a frequent customer. Standing outside with a line of people including a supplier. They were supposed to open at 10. All the lights are on but the door is locked and there is not an employee to be found. People are annoyed and leaving. Only reason I waited this long is I walked here. Bad service all around. Go somewhere else. read more

Malibu... Don't judge.), we'll usually hit the shop at the front of the Costco. But the Costco selection is a bit limited if you're looking, for example, at the various brands/flavors of vodka. When we are browsing, and will welcome the advice from folks smarter than us, we are usually quite pleased with the service we get from our local neighborhood Twin Liqours. Sure, everyone can see through the "Can we put what you are holding at the front for you?" tactic, which is mostly there to keep you from putting something already in hand back down and not purchasing it, while leaving your hands free to pick something else up as well (or maybe I'm just too cynical). And keep your eye out a couple times a year for the "Dollar Sale" (just happened the Thur-Sat before Labor Day, and will probably happen again during "the holidays") for some really great deals (in theory, their cost plus one dollar). 3.95 stars, Twin Liquors. read more

I recently had a relative purchase 6 bottles of Pinot Grigio for me from the Round Rock location, as a birthday gift. He had intended to purchase a gift card but the attendant informed him that they were not able to issue gift cards at the time, and encouraged him to purchase a few bottles of wine, assuring him that it could be exchanged as long as the receipt was presented. I went to the Burnet location exactly one week after the purchase date to exchange the Pinot Grigio for Chardonnay, with receipt in hand, and was informed by the manager that wine and beer purchases are not exchangeable, due to their perishable nature. I totally understand, and agree with, the policy. I take issue with the misrepresentation by the sales attendant. I know that my relative did not intend on spending $100 of his hard earned money on gifting me with wine that is not to my taste. read more

Had an offensive encounter with an employee. Made a complaint to a store manager. Left voice mail message with their home office. Followed it up with an email. No response. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt of my complaint. Do not patronize Twin Liquor. An Austin home grown institution who can't even bother to respond to a complaint. Once again these lovely folks have saved me from a drinking conundrum. Most recently they recommended a wine to bring to a varietal party on NYE. The idea of the party is this: Each couple brings 2 of the same varietal and each couple is responsible for their own type. Ours was Sauvignon Blanc. So, my husband wanders in to TL and asks for a big recommendation. They recommended Leidersburg Sauvignon Blanc. At a whopping $12.99 a bottle, we weren't sure what to expect - but these folks have not let us down - ever! So... We introduced the bottles to about 18 wine snobs at the party and end up being the heroes of the evening. Of course, it's my husband who is the true hero. All evening, people were approaching him with a whisper, "Don't tell anyone but I liked your bottle the best!" Good, because it didn't break the bank like yours! ;) read more

Great service here! the manager here was very nice and we were able to talk beer. He has even ordered me stuff; on special orders and e-mails me when they come in! Now that's customer service folks! if you buy by the case they'll even give you a 10% discount! great area if you're up near Parmer and i-35; plenty of parking and can get expert advice from the folks there. read more

Twin Liquors is the closest liquor store to my apartment and I'm very thankful for that. Their selection and customer service has me coming back time and time again. They're usually pretty good about stocking a lot of local texas companies (ie Titos and Dripping Springs Vodka) at a dollar or 2 less than their competitors. The layout of the place as well as the atmosphere is a far cry from the "wow, we are in a liquor store that could be robbed at any moment" feel. The employees at this location do not shy away from conversation and have been very helpful in making suggestions towards your purchase without trying to upsell you to a premium brand. read more

Great service!! Truly personalized. The person working asked what the purchases were going to be used for, and recommended alternatives that would be better and cost less. This has happened every time I've been in the store, whether I'm buying or just bringing friends in who buy. Has also taken the time to pour samples for us when we're deciding between brands. Have seen the store employees drop everything and go out of their way to help other customers as well. Good selection, easy to find what you're looking for and truly amazing customer service. It's easy to see why they have so many repeat customers (the cashier knew 5 of the 8 people who checked out while I was there by name and seemed to remember past purchases). read more
