I like coming here to do homework because it is so chill and unpacked - unlike every other boba place in SGV. No password required for the internet here. They also have huuuuge tables, so everyone's laptop and textbooks AND food can fit :) Yay. My favorite boba/studying spot in Alhambra. Perhaps, even in California. Perhaps! The name changed, but it's still under the same management. The lady told me it was something about them opening a store in Taiwan and they changed the name? I had to rush so I don't remember much of the epic story. The staff is friendly and fun. While we were studying, my friend requested to hear Jay Chou because it helps her studying. A few minutes later, I hear Jay Chou on the speakers. It was magical. 3.5 stars Came here to study. Ordered a boba milk tea, taiwanese tea eggs, and popcorn chicken. The highlight was the milk tea. HUGE cup, and great flavor with good boba too. The tea eggs were such a huge disappointment. I had a craving for these for a while, but these were not flavorful at all. Popcorn chicken was good. :) Free wi-fi, which was good for studying, but their power outlets are not very accessible. For some reason, the outlets are on the ceiling, and they provide extension cords which end up hanging 4 feet above the ground. Unfortunately, they didn't have any extra extension cords, so I had to reach my charger to neighboring extension cord, which created a hazard of charger wires. This may not be a huge deal to some, but I'm a very clumsy person. Overall, I would come back to study, but I would bring my own extension cord. :) read more

Updating the review since I ordered the drink TO GO, and I haven't been Ozero when it got updated. Parking was a problem, so I just opted for the streets. It's pretty close to residential area, so it wasn't a big deal to work a few minutes to the place. The same layout as it was back in Cofftea, but a little darker. I burst into the place, and basically scared the living crap out of EVERYONE, because of the bell chime. I didn't know what I wanted so ordered the Green Milk Tea (I wanted the flavored one, but I didn't give a flavor, nor did they ask me for one). Great place for studying - Free wifi, plenty of desk space & outlets! I LOVE their OOLONG MILK TEA! It tastes just like the one I used to drink all the time back in Taiwan. I actually like milk teas here better than the ones from half & half. After it changed into Ozero from Cofftea, they now have rewards cards (1 stamp for every $5 spent dine-in or one take-out drink) that keeps me coming back for more and more. Yummy food and great customer service too. During midterms/finals times, I've spent the entire day here eating lunch, snack, and dinner all in a same spot. Taiwanese sausage is hard to find, and they built an entire meal out of it! Most of the reviews are for the drinks, and yes, probably worth it just for the beverages. One minus for the ambiance. Between the table setups, the window glare and blaring music, more social space than a true chilling cafe. Had to take calls outside, and even the outside tables were after-thought. To start off, I used to come here often with my friends when I was in high school (started coming here right after they switched from Cofftea to OZERO by Cofftea). The last time I came to OZERO was BEFORE I left to college aka last summer (when they were decent), and more recently, I revisited about a week and a half ago after coming back from college (unimpressive). FIRST IMPRESSIONS/PARKING: Parking for OZERO is atrocious. Small lot with a handful of spots is always inconvenient, especially for a place that gets a good amount of business. Parking's only been somewhat better ever since the drive-thru convenience store (on the same lot) closed down, freeing up more parking. I usually just park on the adjacent street since it's easier and more convenient than maneuvering around the tiny lot. The building itself is pretty small. As soon as you enter, you're stuck in between the counter and the tables. I hate feeling like I'm mooning some poor customer, sitting by the door, when I enter on a busy day (they need to somehow fix the layout of the place). SERVICE: We (party of 3) sat down immediately after entering on one of the larger tables by the door. The guy behind the counter asked us if we were dining in, to which we said yes, so he gave us our menus. He was courteous enough and checked in with us from time to time later on in the night & answered any questions we had about the menu promptly. DRINKS/FOOD: We ordered 3 tea floats: Jasmine milk tea w/ green tea ice cream, Green milk tea w/ vanilla ice cream, & Thai tea w/ vanilla ice cream, along with the trio appetizer dish (2 orders of popcorn chicken + 1 order of chicken strips ~$7.50). The only time I come to OZERO is when I want a tea float (milk tea + ice cream) and within the past year, the quality of their drinks have declined. My thai milk tea was almost flavorless. It tasted more like normal milk tea than anything. I ended up eating the entire ice cream scoop before it melted because I didn't like my drink. My boyfriend didn't like his drink either. He's a fan of green tea, but he said his drink was just tasteless, almost like water, even WITH the ice cream in it. He was severely disappointed. The only drink that was okay was the jasmine milk tea, but it was still mediocre in comparison with other tea houses in the 626. Popcorn chicken was okay. The chicken meat inside was good, but lacked spice (actually they never asked us if we wanted seasoning) and there was no sauce to go with it. OVERALL: Used to come here for tea floats, now probably won't come back here again. I remember the first time i got the brown sugar milk tea...don't get this, it's just milk tea with added milk and brown sugar..not worth the 4+ dollars and all it tastes is sweeter.. One of my favorite places to go for teas or milk slush. I am pretty picky with teas and this place usually hits the spot. My usuals are the assam black fluffy tea and brown sugar snowie. I'm a purist when it comes to teas so I don't add any extras. They are also a part of five star so you can get a free drink once you get enough points. In an effort to stretch out my SGV lunch into a SGV all day event, I suggested that we visit OZERO for some tea and coffee. See, I live near Brentwood so I always try to make my treks out east worthwhile by including 2 meals. The only way to kill time while trying to get hungry is to come up with slowwwww activities such as going to a cafe. Anyway, I was pleased to find a table inside since it was scorching hot outdoors. The drinks seem pretty innovative and different from a lot of other places I've been to. The quality seems on par with Half & Half. I had the Matcha Fluffy Coffee (or whatever it's called) and it was pretty to look at and very unique. My friend had the standard Caramel Coffee Slush and it was good as well. I always tell myself when I pass by to go to another beverage place that, hey, maybe next time I should try this place. And I never remember, I never do. Until a few days ago! Finally, I got the chances to, and it was, meh! It's okay. I tried their Almond Milk Tea with boba, maybe it was just me, but for some reason, it tasted a bit chocolately not so much almond flavor. Boba is chewy, pretty good. But recently I grown uses to boba served with honey. So I felt it wasn't sweet enough for me. The beau got his usual Honey Green tea, our total came up to be under $9, I believe that is including the 10% off for to go beverages. There are about 7-8 small tables (each seats 2-4 people), all seated were taken by students who were studying for school, finals for the Summer quarter I guess. I don't think I will going back anytime soon. I looked over their menu and they serve pretty much the same thing as all the other place. This is one of my TOP THREE All-Time Favorite Boba Places! I always get the MILK TEA W/ BOBA + PUDDING - both the boba + pudding are consistent and amazing every time. And the milk tea is just right - not too sweet and just sweet enough. On my most recent visit, I had been away from LA for 3 weeks in Chicago, and all I could think about was getting boba from OZERO or Half & Half when I got back to LA! I had (and still have) much unpacking and cleaning to do, but I made the 10-mile drive out my first night to satisfy my craving. Sigh...craving satisfied. This is definitely my favorite boba place! Drinks: The drinks have been consistently good here, the boba is nice and chewy and the teas aren't overly sweet like a ton of other places. I ordered boba with my tea. Inside my drink, they first forgot to add Boba. It was a minor error that they fixed for me, but what bothered me was how they fixed it. First the co worker with no gloves grabbed a new cup and added boba in it. Then she stabs the original one. I saw her fingers slip into my drink by accident and spills some of it. Then she continues by adding that same liquid into the new cup with Boba. Extremely unsanitary and concerning. I am disgusted and didn't even know how to react. I didn't bother complaining at that moment because I already complained about how they didn't add boba into my drink. Management needs to care for sanitary issues more and make their employees wear gloves. I wouldn't have bothered me with the first issue, but it is something else if people are putting their fingers in my drink especially with sicknesses going around. Update: previously 1 star. I was contacted with an apology message. I was told that the staff was notified and talked to about the issue. This place is SO SMALL! I mean it's beyond crowded and it's not a good thing when you can barely turn around without bumping into another person or a table. I've been here a couple of times and when there are so many boba shops in the area, I'm not sure that I'll frequent this place a lot. Service is always a little slow because there's too many people so you might be waiting for a bit. I've tried their classic shaved ice here and I enjoyed it. It wasn't as soft as I would have liked but it was refreshing and came with a decent amount of toppings. I would probably get this again if I was craving it. I am not a fan of the Fluffy teas here. It's basically tea mixed with a latte which I do like but I didn't like it here too much. I had the Fluffy Honey Green Tea and it was just okay. I didn't finish all of it because it tasted a little off for me. I did like the Fluffy Oolong tea with brown sugar though. That was pretty good but once again not something that I would ever get a craving for. Their pudding is a hit or a miss. Sometimes it's good, and other times it's bad. The same thing with their boba. I think they have huge consistency issues. I do appreciate that their tea is never that sweet so I don't have to get them half sweetened like so many other places. OZERO just keeps giving me more reasons to love it. Since this place is small, it gets crowded pretty easily. The workers will offer to bring your drink outside when it's ready, and will call you in when a table is open. I don't expect such accommodating service from places that serve tea and coffee, especially ones that are so busy, so for a boba joint, the service is unparalleled. Another thing I love about their service: the workers here know SO much about their drinks. I hate it when I go to a place and the worker doesn't know what to recommend because he/she barely knows anything about the products his/her workplace serves. At OZERO, the workers are trained to be knowledgeable about nearly everything regarding their drinks and food, including the process, taste and popularity. Don't be afraid to ask any of their workers for recommendations if you're not sure what to get! Their boba is amazing. I had the Brown Sugar Snowie with Pudding and Boba and it was definitely one of the best frosted milk drinks I've ever had. A little too sweet (my fault, since I should have asked for a lighter sweetness), and the milk melted kinda quickly, but the quality of the boba more than made up for it. Make sure not to let your drink out too long! The boba tastes best when it's served warm. It's unbelievably soft and it doesn't take a whole lot of effort to chew it down. In fact, their boba almost melts in your mouth! I've also tried the Cofftea, a mix of espresso and tea. I loved it! I'm used to having vanilla lattes from Starbucks, and it was an interesting and refreshing change. The coffee part was nice and strong. The bitterness was offset by the sweetness of the tea. It was a very tasty blend, and it kept me wide awake for the duration of my visit. And if I didn't mention it before, I want to emphasize that the size of their drinks are HUGE! If you choose to dine-in, their drinks come in these really large and heavy glass mugs. Don't be flustered if you can't finish your drink though, which is understandable. They'll put your drinks in to-go cups at no extra charge if you don't manage to finish your beverage. The only downside I could imagine is that their drinks only come in one-size, which might disappoint those wanting smaller drinks for lower prices. Trust me on this though: if you enjoy good tea or coffee, you'll only wish that they carried larger sizes, not smaller ones! OZERO is my favorite place to come to for studying. The environment isn't completely quiet since there's usually a lot of people around, and I'm pretty sure the AC was broken when I came here, but they have seats that are perfect for studying in and there's plenty of room on their tables. They also have a playlist of songs that aren't obnoxious or distracting, so their music isn't a problem at all. I came back with one of my co-workers today and decided to order some food. I got the Grass Jelly Milk Tea and my co-worker got the Mango Yoyo. My drink was quite good but I think my favorite drink is still the Fluffy Almond Black Tea w/ Pudding. I also ordered the crispy (?) platter which included Taiwanese sausage, popcorn chicken and fried wonton. I absolutely loved the Taiwanese sausage. The fried wonton was pretty good too, it had alot of filling. I didn't really eat the popcorn chicken, some of the pieces were quite big and it was a little too salty for my liking. Quaint little boba shop off Valley. Seating is super limted, but the service and quality of the drinks more than make up for it. Came here with a buddy after some hard-nosed basketball and the green iced tea picked me right up. I could see most people reading, studying or just surfing the web. Definitely the best cold coffee and teas in the SGV. The blended mocha is a godsend on those baking August days in the valley. It's a generous amount too. We never go to Tea Station anymore, but that might change with the weather I guess... The negatives are minor, but I'll list them anyway: the cups are "too good", i.e. they seem too nice to throw away. We've guilted ourselves into keeping them - and now they're clogging up our cupboard! Freshest milk tea I've ever tasted. Mmm. And their boba is cooked perfectly as well. I had their rose milk tea (per suggestion of fellow Yelpers) and it was amazing. I thought the rose might be too overpowering but it was perfect. A subtle hint of rose at the end. Delicious. I've also had the almond milk tea which is sweetened just right. Most boba places make their drinks pretty sweet, but Cofftea makes theirs sweetened just enough so that you know there's some sugar in there without getting diabetes. They sell snack foods like sweet potato fries, brick toast, and pork dumplings. Stuff like that. I had their strawberry toast. Super soft bread with a crunchy exterior. Yes, it did take about 15 mins to come but I think it might be that they don't have their oven pre-heated so that takes a bit. It was ok, not omg amazing toast. They also have full on plates of Taiwanese food too. They have a stamp card for to-go only. To-go drinks are also 10% off for students. Yeh! One thing that irks me a bit is that there's only one size of their drinks. At least from what I saw on their menu. Free wi-fi an a couple of tables that people are always studying on. On my friend's recommendation, I got the House Special Longan Milk Tea late yesterday afternoon. Since finishing the drink, I've thought and dreamed about it at multiple times and it's only 9am the next day! The drink is made hot and fresh with chunks of longan, big whole red dates (jujube), and those little orange bean-shaped things. Craving some boba after dinner at Noodle World, I found Cofftea on Yelp! The store itself is very, very tiny with a proportionally small walkway. But with all the big tables around, it seemed like a good place to study or play Chinese MMOs, as a boy demonstrated. The drink list is extensive and the only item that makes this place stand out from the 10 million other boba places in the area is winter melon juice. And it was delish! i was really suprised at the quality and we got the oolong milk tea with boba. the boba was a little on the sweet side, but the oolong milk tea had a great fresh taste to it. and today i went back to try the fluffy almond black tea and my boyfriend got the dark sugar milk tea. I wholeheartedly choose the Little Tokyo location over this one. It is the original location but the atmosphere and staff... "Meh. I've experienced better." Little Tokyo pushes the 5 Stars Drink Card (buy 8, get 1 free) which also gives a 10% discount on drinks. We had one but the girl rang us up without asking for it and then conveniently forgot to apply/credit back the difference. PRODUCT: My warm honey milk tea was lukewarm and okay. I prefer Half and Half instead. ATMOSPHERE: Lots of students. Not too much elbow space in how they set up the tables.
