4:00 pm on the patio is truly happy hour .... Peaceful, relaxing, quiet enough to speak softly

Almond Crusted Seared Ruby Red Trout

We stopped by recently for date night while visiting Breckenridge and had one of the best meals ever. We shared the lamb chops (not pictured), the escargot, and the almond crusted ruby red trout. It was all delicious, but the trout was especially phenomenal. It's been weeks, and I am still daydreaming about it. While the food was excellent, the wait between dishes was a bit long. While waiting, we were fortunate to enjoy homemade focaccia, fresh from the kitchen. We absolutely loved Twist. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!

Twist in Breckenridge is such a charming gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a welcoming host and shown to a table on the upper level. The space is inviting with a warm and relaxed ambiance. Our server was friendly and added to the overall excellent dining experience. My friend ordered the steak and gave me a sample, it was fantastic. I ordered the Almond Crusted Seared Ruby Red Trout, and it was outstanding. Perfectly cooked & flavorful. I really enjoyed the almond crust, a nice subtle crunch. Plus, the base had some sort of crunchy noodles? I wish I knew the name! For dessert, our group shared the Flourless Chocolate Torte with Peanut Butter Mousse and the Bourbon Apple Churro Crumble. Both were delicious. My favorite was the chocolate one because I'm a lover of chocolate. It was decadent and the smooth sweet peanut butter complemented it perfectly. Whether you're a local or just visiting Breckenridge, this spot is well worth a visit.

Came for HH and it is one of the best in town. We got everything on the HH menu food wise and they were all fantastic. Lamb chops, fries, venison carpaccio, bison sliders. Drinks were good too! The patio outside give you a view of the mountains and it's amazing. Great service from Will. Will def be back.

Pork chop... not much smoke, but perfectly cooked and sides were great!

It was off the beaten path, but I'm glad I looked it up on Yelp as it didn't disappoint! Started off with the bib caesar..perfect portion and all the flavors were balanced. Happy Hour took $5 off, bonus! For my main I chose the Pork chop... not much smoke, but perfectly cooked and sides were great! Opted for the truffle gelato to round out the meal, very tasty, and a huge portion. Ambiance is chic cozy cottage, service was average, and prices were in line with the area. If I'm back in town I'll give this one another shot... you should too!

Came here for our Christmas dinner; and unfortunately this was a miss for us. Pumpkin & Lobster Soup - Super heavy and mostly tasted like a rich pumpkin soup Christmas Salad - This was quite tasty; dressing was good but the candied bacon wasn't prepared well Crispy Skin Duck - The fat was not rendered down well and the skin was not crispy Halibut - Prepared well, seasoned okay but the sides were underwhelming Crème Brûlée Dessert - Was not entirely set Banana Bread Pudding - Heavy on the banana and was very sweet

First off, this is a very nice restaurant in a classic vintage house right in the middle of Breckenridge town. The atmosphere, service and creative menu are excellent. My only real issue is the menu is somewhat limited in variety, portions . Also, "creativity " can sometimes miss the target of quality. For example, the bison steak is unique but so tough as to almost be un-edible. The trout is excellent as well as some chef's specials but just be careful to make sure of what you are ordering.

Lobster rolls came with two. In front is 1/2 an order of the small plate lamb chops.

We were immediately taken by the building itself and the historic vibe was indeed strong. One felt that it was part museum, and the interior design and decor added to that impression. A lot of thought obviously went into the design and implementation of this restaurant. We were led upstairs to the dining room / bar. Happily we had a table next to a large window so we could enjoy the view as the sun set provided colors on the mountain. Our server Eric was friendly and knew the answers to our questions, and we ordered several appetizers and the Colorado rack of lamb. Everything was delicious and this will be one of the best meals we've had on this vacation. Mahalo.

As someone generally has an aversion to fish, I was shocked when I took a bite of the black cod and found it tasty! It virtually has 0 fishy smell or taste, and all the flavor seems to come from the sauce and mushrooms around it. The Wagyu was a big piece of meat that my family of 4 shared - I appreciated the big slab of butter that they left on top of the steak, mmm so good. We finished off our meal with the sticky toffee pudding which was sooo good! It was gone in seconds and if I had an unlimited budget, we definitely would've gotten more. Highly recommend coming to Hearthstone for a nice meal in Breck. Service and hospitality were very nice - a manager came around to check in on every table to ensure that everyone was having a good experience. The restaurant is interestingly located inside an antique house!

Half way through that I had to tap out from the richness and portion. The energy sitting at the chefs tasting is part of the charm. Watching the flow of the kitchen might not be for everyone, it does get loud and feels pretty chaotic at times- we love it.

The evening started with them not remembering the food allergy that I told you about when i submitted your survey, but I digress. We started with a martini and an old fashioned. The martini was tasty but half of it was missing like where's the rest of my drink ‍. Second I had to ask for plates, not sure how you forget but remembered to give them to the table next to me ‍. At this point I'm over it and prefer my experience at raticato. Next strike, you ask us to order everything and you'll course it out but instead you interrupt us mid chew and ask to clear the table for our meals, absolutely unacceptable. How do you rush your customers. I get it's 8pm but you're open until 9:30 and if you're in a rush go home and send a server that wants to be there. Service, service, service. It was absolutely non existent and at a restaurant that isn't McDonalds prices, do better. You never came back to our table and asked if the food came out ok or if we needed more drinks. As a matter of fact, my spouse walked to the bar and ordered their own drink, unacceptable. Absolutely ridiculous. We couldn't enjoy our meal because the service was so poor and I'd absolutely not return. We had the Halibut, which was tasty but could do without the ro and the chicken dish, which was prepared well. The steak tartare was just ok and the bread and hummus was a good addition. Nah, wouldn't recommend. Please have a conversation with Olivia Z., if she's having a day she needs to exit and not work that day in hospitality. P.s. she also rushed another table that wanted to enjoy the chicken dish but she was too focused on leaving that she told them they should get dessert instead.
