I had brunch recently at Twist and had a very nice experience. I was kind of bummed that they don't serve alcohol, however it is BYOB so we actually left and brought back a bottle of wine. I ordered the Madagascar French Toast with hash browns and bacon and I thoroughly enjoyed! The French Toast was nice and buttery with crispy golden edges, bacon was crispy and the hash browns were great also. My friend had the steak and eggs. She asked for The steak to be cooked medium and they did just that. It's a little small, but the vibe and service made up for that in my book. A must try. read more

I went to Twisted during Restaurant Week. I went around 4pm. It was empty and staff were in the back so we seated ourselves. The decor was confusing. Old antique dolls and random items. The menu was alright. The restaurant was labeled as Mediterranean but they serve American and Spanish influenced cuisine. I had lamb shank. I love lamb so I was looking forward to it. I must say I've had better. My boyfriend was disappointed with his steak. The best part of the menu was the dessert. I was doing my happy food dance the entire time. This is a great spot for brunch. Reasonably priced and many options to choose from. My boyfriend and I went on Saturday to check it out as I've heard great things about their brunch menu. I opted for the Madagascar Vanilla French Toast and added a side of Nutella with it. I was disappointed in the fact that there were only two strawberries on it, but I asked the waiter for some more fruit and he gladly brought it over. The French toast was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had the twist burrito and was equally as impressed. To drink I had the mocha latte and the animal crackers on the side was a nice, unexpected addition. Wonderful breakfast spot within walking distance of my apartment. I woke up one morning after a long night of drinking, and I was starving. There was nothing but cold cereal in my apartment. I found this place on Yelp, and walked down for breakfast. What a wonderful idea this was. They served me a big bottle of cold water and a Cappuccino. It was a wonderful combination. I ate outside, enjoyed the nice breeze, and waited for the eggs benedict I ordered. When it arrived, it was all I could do not devour it before taking a picture to show you fine folks. Would not recommend if you're a Black or queer person. I am a Black Queer woman who was celebrating pride month and decided to have dinner here. My dinner companion was a white woman and I am a dark skinned Black woman. Everything was good up until we got the check. We had two orders of pasta and a salad splitting everything between us and so we gave two credit cards to pay for the bill, and our server made some type of mistake with the bill where the credit cards weren't charged correctly which isn't a big deal things happen. When we brought the mistake to his attention, he comes back over to our table and is trying to explain to us what happened when what he's saying happened doesn't make sense I ask him a question to help me understand and he looks at me, the Black woman, and asks me "are you sure you have enough credit on this card?" and yes, I am sure that I have enough credit to cover the less than $50 of the bill. we keep questioning and eventually he goes and recharges us and of course he then tells me that the mistake was on his part because he ran my card multiple times, why this couldn't have been admitted before asking me in a public restaurant in front of someone else if I had enough to pay my bill I don't know?? But as usual ruined a good dinner and would definitely not recommend if you're a woman of color or trying to celebrate. read more

I typically enjoy going here for brunch, but had a bad experience in my most recent visit. We ordered 3 dishes (steak and eggs, seafood salad, and chicken panini), two of which were delicious - hence the 2 stars. We ordered a medium rare steak, which came out well-done. Naturally, our waiter took it back when we asked for it to be medium-rare. Another young man came out to confirm that we'd like the steak medium-rare, as in more rare than the steak that came out last time (well-done). He came back out promptly with a new steak and asked if it was okay. Unfortunately, we said yes before cutting into it. When we did, it was more than rare...it was completely raw. Why would the chef give us a raw steak? We decided to leave it alone because we didn't want to send it back a second time. Our waiter never came back to the table to ask/check-in, so we received our check from other staff when they saw we were finished. Boxed up the raw steak and left to cook it more at home. Came here while visiting MD. We got in right when they opened Easter Sunday to avoid the crowd. Ordered a double shot expresso, Chicken and waffles, Lump crab eggs Benedict. The chicken and waffles with a bacon maple syrup was spot on. Crispy, well seasoned, my only feedback for this one was if the thigh would be a little meatier. Waffle was perfectly cooked and pairs amazingly well with the chicken and bacon maple syrup. My girlfriend got the lump crab eggs Benedict and that was also really good! I rathe this restaurant four out of five stars because of the food and service/environment. Located in the heart of Fells Point, Twist is a quaint little restaurant - great for breakfast or brunch! At least this is what my boyfriend and I ate. Initially, the place didn't look so pleasing. Although very cute, there were some dirty tables still not cleaned. In addition, the menus given to us were pretty dingy. But like I always say, don't judge a book by its cover. The food was great! This place was a freakin nightmare. I placed a $103 order with a sufficient tip only to find out that the order was completely messed up. I ordered 3 twist burgers - one of them came with bacon the others did not- the chipotle mayo that was supposed to be on the side came on the burger and all of them were done wrong 2 fells burgers- both came medium instead of well 1 custom burger - I paid extra for this and there was a double patty one done rare (with blood running out), the other well - I asked not both medium, and they added all the condiments and toppings when I specifically asked for just American cheese and bacon. The first 5 were items from the menu with zero customization aside from how they should be cooked. Ridiculous that they would mess those up! When I called the store while the first person seemed apologetic the second man (Earl) was extremely offensive and rude - he said my claim was fraudulent , told me to never call back and hung up. I even offered to bring back the burgers or send pictures and he said he's already made up his mind. He barely let me speak, ignored what I said and wouldn't let me speak to the owner/ manager. Please save yourself the time and money and order from somewhere else or some other burger place! This is an absolute nightmare with the worst possible customer service and quality. DO NOT BUY FOOD HERE! The atmosphere is lovely and has a Mediterranean flare that makes me nostalgic for pre-COVID travel. We shared the fantastic mezze platter (my favorite being baba ghanoush and the olive tapenade). Held a bridal shower for 25 people at Twist on a busy Saturday. For a modest fee, I was able to have a semi private room. Staff was great, took 25 orders very quickly and the food came out all at once. We were seated in the back of the restaurant that's beautifully and naturally lit by large sky lights. I loved the art deco pictures and other vintage décor. They did a good job of fitting a good amount of tables in the space without it feeling cramped. I ordered the ten thirty-five burger which is served on an English muffin topped with ham (it actually came out with turkey bacon) and a fried egg. I swapped the fried egg with an over medium for some yolk porn action. The burger wasn't cooked to temp, I like medium, but still delicious; again not sure about my objectivity with the mimosas and near extreme hunger. I also ordered (feel free to judge here) the chicken and waffles (yep that's two entrees just for me). The chicken was perfectly seasoned, which is a major plus. The restaurant is BYOB (no corking fee) so we did brunch right with lots of mimosas. The wait staff were a lot of fun joking with us and checking on us regularly I just wish they said more then they were backed up because of all the non reservation guest. I saw no less than three tables be seated, eat and leave before we were served. On to the food.. I got an appetizer brought to me because my food was so late and I was starving. It was delicious but I completely blacked out from hunger when he told me the name. I ordered the prosciutto Panini (which is seriously the easiest thing to make) and mashed potatoes. Came here for Baltimore restaurant week. Reservation was at 8. We arrived at 7:45 and were told to wait outside while they sorted out our table. Turns out they seated another group at our table, so we waited an extra 20 minutes in the cold before being seated. Restaurant week always has a set menu, but they were out of 1/4 of their entrees on the menu. When appetizers came out, they failed to bring out one of our party's appetizers. Even after the rest of us had finished eating our appetizers, his food had not come out. Fast forward and our entrees are coming out, his appetizer is still not here. They say the order was somehow never placed, but if he still wanted it they would give it free of charge. A little while later, the appetizer comes, but so does the waiter. He mentions that because it was restaurant week and part of the menu, he couldn't take it off the bill despite the food arriving extremely late. The appetizers and entrees were okay. Nothing too special. When it comes time for dessert, they got our order wrong, but brought out the right order after and gave us some extra dessert. Overall, the experience was just okay. Food was okay, not terrible, but not amazing. Servers were kind, but the service itself was not great and the management was subpar. Probably not worth the price we paid. read more

The servers were very friendly and attentive. But the food wait was long. I ordered grilled wings. Per the menu and got fried wings (not on the menu). The highlight of my meal was the Greek salad. It was really good. I wouldn't mind having another salad, but with grilled shrimp or chicken. I can say I will give this place another visit. It was New Year's Day and very crowded. Made reservations for brunch at 9am two days before just to make sure we got a spot. Such a popular spot you have to plan ahead especially on weekends. Got up and drove to Fells Point on a cool Sunday morning a long 5 min drive from little Italy. Was greeted by staff all with good mornings and smiles under there masks. Was seated instantly after telling them our name for our reservation. We both got a Carmel late as we looked over the menu. After five minutes we ordered and waited maybe another 5 for our food. Place was packed so we were surprised at the quality of the food and service. Was our first time here the food was delicious. I got one of the French toasts they offer and it was phenomenal! We had chicken and waffles, dark chocolate blueberry french toast with a side of turkey bacon, ten thirty five (breakfast burger with fried egg, ham and cheese) and california omelet.
