Monday morning snack in Fernandina Beach. Service was amazing! They even brought a bowl of water for Lexi. We shared a small leek and goat cheese quiche with a latte and a tea (for me). We sat outside on the patio so we could people watch and enjoy the clean fresh cool air of midmorning. It was a very nice place and the servers were fantastic people. Highly recommend.

Super cute place with great staff and sangria. Several locals were there - so you know it's good. It was a little pricey but yummy and I didn't walk away hungry.

A classic diner. Had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and toast, and it was just what I needed.

Hands-Down the Best Cocktail Bar on Amelia Island!…read more The Decantery is an upscale but low-key spot with great lounge vibes. I walked in after a workout and still felt completely at home and surrounded by like-minded people. The ambiance is outstanding: fresh renovation, warm lighting, great seating, and music that's perfectly mixed and not too loud. The service was impeccable, with attentive bartenders. I had the charcuterie board... phenomenal. And an Espresso martini, easily the best on the island. If you want a place that feels like you're hanging out at a friend's beautifully curated space, The Decantery is it. Perfect vibe, perfect drinks, perfect night.

The interior is quite spacious and has several different rooms, all very inviting. The place was busy when we arrived, which gave it an inviting and lively, although slightly noisy vibe. The barkeeps were busy and it was kind of fun watching them work together as they mixed poured various drinks. We decided we were in the mood for their Smoked Old Fashioned so that's what we ordered. At $22 each, I was expecting something a bit more than what we got. The barkeep made both of our drinks in a tumbler using only 1 shot of Woodford bourbon. Total. They were tasty enough, but tiny. I felt or the price we paid we would have at least gotten two drinks, not one split between us. We enjoyed our time there, but we decided one and done was good enough. We didn't reorder.

It's a cute location in a cute area; it had such a fun, authentic vibe outside and in. We came in and wanted to get straight to bowling, and the staff member who set us up was helpful and friendly. The alley area is pretty small, as it's only four lanes. But while I'm sure that could be a disappointment on a crowded night, we found the small size to be conducive to chatting with each other as we played. It's definitely different from standard bowling: you don't wear bowling shoes, the pins are attached to strings that pull them up (as opposed to freestanding pins at a standard alley), and you use smaller, hole-free balls. You also get three throws per frame as opposed to two. I'm not good at bowling, and I'm -- so far -- not good at the duck pin variant. But I didn't find it frustrating, just fun to learn and play! I managed no strikes and a whopping one spare, although I did find the advice posted on the walls helped me get a bit better. I think there is a type of person (someone who takes bowling seriously, or maybe too seriously) who wouldn't enjoy this, but it's really entertaining if you can go in with a good mindset. And not having to find shoes or bowling balls that fit is a huge plus. As far as timing, it took us about an hour and 15 minutes to play two full games; we didn't rush, but we didn't daddle, either. They charge by the hour or half hour, and we paid for our first hour then added a half hour to finish out a second game. A couple who came in about halfway through our visit managed to just squeeze in 10 frames in 30 minutes. We didn't explore the (intriguing) upstairs area, but I did get a fabulous drink -- the Saturn -- at the bar. While I felt like the bowling was a little pricey (not unreasonably priced, to be clear, just something I couldn't afford quite as often), I was surprised at the great value of the drink. Plus, it was delicious -- super well-balanced -- and the bartender was lovely. Even outside of the bowling fun, I could see this being a regular hangout for me if I lived in the area. But even though it's more than an hour from home for me, I'll absolutely take family and friends up to visit when I can. It's an awesome place to have in the region.

We started with the cheesy bread, which was super flavorful and the perfect appetizer to share. For mains, our table tried the shrimp scampi, short rib, and redfish--all of them were excellent. Anyways, our server was pretty friendly, and we can't complain about the ambience. Here's what we tried: -Crab Dip: 10/10 - SOOO YUMMY! Perfect crab dip, so rich, so flavorful. -Lobster Bisque: 2/10 - This wasn't bisque, it wasn't even chowder. It was so thick and had no real taste to it. -Goat Cheese Burger: 9/10 - creamy, goat cheese was the star, overall delicious. fries were good too! -Lobster Ravioli: 7/10 - disappointing, to be honest. Sauce was great but the ravioli itself kind of tasted like frozen lobster ravioli. -French dip Sandwich: 6/10 - super salty, very savory, but very little depth of flavor. Could've used something zingy. -Chocolate Cake: 9/10 - no one can argue with a chocolate cake. I mean come on! I loved that it came out cold and dense.
