YUMMY!! I pass by this place almost everyday and I've wanted to try it, but since they don't have a website I had to first go in and get a menu. This small family run business specializes in Greek and Italian dishes, and many things sound delicious! Their name did me in though and I wanted to try the pizza! I had an italian sausage and mushroom pie, which was fantastic. The italian sausage was perfect and they don't short you on toppings. The crust was a bit big for it to qualify as my perfect pizza, but there was plenty of cheese and it was tasty! I also tasted a piece of their garlic cheese bread... I would pass on it next time. But since I love local joints, I will definitely be back here to try something else. They have daily specials that run on a weekly basis... I foresee a chicken Parmesan Tuesday in my future! They don't deliver, so you have to pick it up... its worth the extra effort if its between this and some pizza chain! They also have breakfast on the weekends. read more

So I've been coming here for about 20 years more or less. Its a place that county teachers, firefighters, police go and older Arlingtonian's. THere is parking in front and in back. Chicken slovaki is great, nicely grilled, with pita, lettuse, tomatoe. My son and husband usually get the pizza, pretty yummy or a burger. I use to get the meatball sub for years, it is HUGE with melted cheese. Yum. My husband also likes the gyro. This is a family run place, you are not going for decor. It it a very relaxed, affordable place to get some filling food. Not busy, same people always working, great family place. Love that there are still places like this in Arlington. I've had carry out from 2 chefs exactly 2 times. My wife and i were impressed with the pizza. Its not as good as "The Italian Store" but its pretty tasty. Tonight I got the gyro platter. It comes with a decent size salad and fries for around $15. The gyro meat was great! Perhaps the best I've had in the area. The fries however, were soggy, undercooked and nasty. My wife was pleased with the ham and cheese with bacon sandwich (around $10). She said it had lot of bacon on it. I thought the prices were a bit steep for what we got. My biggest gripe about this place is the shabby interior and general apathetic attitude of the staff. There are random personal photos, "decorations" and pictures scattered around the walls. The curtains and carpet are old and look filthy. The lighting in the main dinning room is brighter than the sun. I recommend a pair of dark sun glasses to all patrons. The staff was indifferent and acted as though they didn't want to be there. After taking my order the waitress asked my 3 additional times, "what did you order?". Food was great. Nice low key spot. It was a little overpriced. Waitress seemed not too happy to be there (that always puts a dent in the ambience of the place). I came with my two toddlers, not a family friendly place, extremely quiet. My one yr old asked for a napkin (we've been going over our indoor/outdoor voices, don't have it down yet) anyways we saw 3 tables lean over to see where that little question came from. Located in a very tiny strip center next to McDonald's. Perfect place to bring a young family or the team after the game. It's always fun to watch the family yell, scream, love one another in Greek. I have a love/Hate relationship with this place. It reminds me of a typical New England Greek run pizza place, which I love, but they don't deliver, which I hate. The fact that I live 2 blocks away, makes it easy to procure food from this join. I have been here multiple times for all meals, and I have to say stick to the lunch and Dinner foods. I was not too impressed by their breakfast. My two favorite dishes are the Gyro, which is a legitimate gyro. It is meat, piled on top of meat, on top of more meat, covered in some lettuce, tomato and sauce. Its a sandwich that keeps on giving. However, if you are in the mood for pizza, try the Greek village. Imagine my description of a gyro, just slapped onto a white pizza. Minus the lettuce and tomato of coarse My only major complaint about the food is that they do not carry buffalo sauce. I tried to order buffalo chicken fingers and they said they don't make them. However, after some discussion with the waitress about how they sell buffalo wings, but don't have buffalo sauce, the owner came over to try and solve the problem. He simply said, "we don't have that stuff. I will make them the way I eat them and you will love it." now imagine that in a Greek accent...how could you say no. What he ended up bringing out was BBQ sauce, Tabasco, and red pepper flakes smothered on chicken tenders and served with blue cheese. It sounds different but was surprisingly delicious. If the prices where a little bit lower, I would go here more, it just seems a bit high for type of place it is. read more

Ok so much like other reviewers, I noticed this place is definitely a Greek/Italian fusion restaurant, not so much "NY Authentic." THAT SAID, it was still pretty good. I tried it out using my LivingSocial deal - we arrived around 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was bumping. The sign said "seat yourself" but there wasn't an open table in the room, so we had to awkwardly stand in the dining room waiting for one to open up, with group of people doing the same behind us. Once a booth opened up, we pounced, they cleaned the table up, and we were ready to go. We decided to order a pizza and I was pumped to try the Gyro platter. Then I was told the gyro wasn't available - sadness. Instead I went with the Chicken soulvaki platter - it turned out to be pretty good, but I still would have preferred the gyro. The pizza was pretty good - especially the half we ate at the restaurant. The second half we took home for dinner and it didn't reheat as well (not even in the toaster oven - the cheese just out weighed the crust and made it limp upon reheating). Love their spinach pizza and breadsticks. The delivery is usually very prompt and there has only been one time out of the many times I've ordered that something went slightly wrong. I really love this place for gyros - I would go once a week if I could. Last visit, however, my wife's sampler had two items (particularly the eggplant) which may have sat around too many days (or had ingredients that expired). My gyro featured meat that was approaching jerky status - the first mediocre one I've had on a long while. My rating is based on 95% of the gyros I've had - read other reviews for other dishes. I should have told people about this terrific place earlier. I've had countless tough pork dishes at expensive places, and then I remember how great their pork souvlaki is and kick myself for going anywhere else. It's made with pork tenderloin -- need I say more? It's got grill marks that add to the flavor, and comes with crispy French fries that, when you bite into them, reveal the texture of mashed potatoes. The tzatziki is thick enough to use as a dip for the pork morsels. (The chicken is just as good.) With their Greek salad, it's a wonderful meal for a very reasonable price. And their meat sauce is so good that I buy it to have on hand for a quick meal at home. The owners are so friendly and cooperative -- I can't say enough good things about this modest neighborhood place! read more

The Pizza and crinkle cut French fries keep this place on my mind. I recommend it. My son and I visit regularly, and we like to bring the soccer team as well. I ordered delivery from here and they delivered the wrong salad. Okay...totally fine, but when I called them they were rude, short with me and once I told them I had ordered a crispy chicken salad instead of the Greek salad, they then asked if I wanted to keep the salad or order a new one. I asked for the correct salad and they said "ok" and instantly hung up. 20 minutes later the same delivery person arrived and asked for the other salad in exchange for my new crispy chicken salad. I would have to say that two chefs pizza is one of the finest restaurants in the entire region and I say this for three important facts. I'm basing this off of the quality of food, service and cleanliness. I am a born and raised Washingtonian and so it's safe to say that we eat out a lot, Lolo. We visited thousands of restaurants in Maryland Washington and Virginia. Our friends tell my wife and I that we should become food critics and so maybe one day we might pursue a career in that but for now I will continue with my yelp reviews and hope that people take advantage of the good in all our reviews. We've been eating at this restaurant for over 30 years and we've had the pleasure of getting to know this beautiful family who's been on top of the operation their entire lives. George and Demitra have been able to raise a beautiful family throughout their journey in the wonderful world of food and beverage. I'd like to give a lot of credit to the parents who raised one of their chefs today, Tasos Sgardelis and really what an amazing job he's always able to perform. It's a Mom and Pop shop at its finest. Hands down best Greek food in the area. I am a huge fan of the George's Salad Supreme, it's like a gyro except with a few more veggies and the pita is on the side. When we're feeling lazy, I order and have the food delivered via Grubhub and no lie - it arrives within 30 minutes. The quickest, most delicious food all for a reasonable price. While the food is good, the service is awful. I asked if I could substitute the side for my sandwich and the server said yes. When the check came, I was surprised that there was a substantial upcharge. I asked her why she didn't explain it to me. Horrible experience. I ordered two things for delivery, one being a salad. Just like anyone, ordering a salad on the menu would lead you to believe that it would contain lettuce. Not only did they forget the lettuce, but they also forgot the egg that was listed. When I called, the manager started arguing with me on how "egg wasn't included in the salad." Ordered the hamburger with everything and a side order of onion rings. The onion rings were hard as rocks, very unappetizing. The hamburger was a major disappointment. Overdone, lackingany juice or moisture. The bun was too large and dry to boot, as well as veering towards burnt from the grill. Was was next to impossible to eat. When the waitress asked me how my meal was I told her the burger was very dry. I left most of the burger, as well as the onion rings, uneaten. She didn't have any reply. When I asked for my check, she came back with a take-away box and the check. Obviously, I wasn't going to take any of the food home. The check was for the full amount, which came to a little over $15. Nothing had been taken off. When I went to pay the bill, I told the cook I was unhappy with the meal. I think that it was the owner that came over and said there would be no charge. But the cook told me that when he had served the hamburger, it has been cooked properly, as if I did not know what I was talking about. Will not be back. read more

Stopped by for lunch and had a craving for a gyro. I saw the vertical spit and knew that I was in the right place. I ordered the gyro platter which is gyro meat, a salad, pita bread and fries. The platter came out and I was surprised at the mountain of food they balanced on the plate. I couldn't even eat half of the meat, but I enjoyed every bite. This is my favorite restaurant in Arlington! Now that might sound rediculous because of all the good food in this county, but I have been living here for 27 years and there is only one place that I constantly return to: Two Chefs. It is wonderfully priced, has awesome family owned service, and the best gyro I can find. Don't like greek food? Not a problem. They have everything from pizza to meatloaf. And if you want to treat yourself to something special, get the Monster Sub. It is a traditional cheese steak but with two fried eggs and pepperoni on top. WOW! Having read other reviews, I was hesitant to order pizza from Two Chefs. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the diligence and deilvery service. I called on an NFL Sunday evening and expected there to be long lines and waiting times. However, I was greeted over the phone by a friendly voice, ready to take my order. My husband and I ordered a large pizza with jalapenos, mushrooms, and sausage. We received our order within the 45 minute slated delivery slot, if not sooner. The pizza was warm and fresh. I appreciated that Two Chefs loads their pizzas up with your selected toppings, but was underwhelmed to find that they were using canned jalapenos instead of fresh ones. While this is not a deal-breaker, and I will likely order again, I believe if you're paying a premium for your pie, then you should get fresh ingredients. Will try another pizza next time for sure. read more

I haven't tried their dinner menu, so this is just a breakfast review: The food was solid. Good pancakes, good omelets, reasonable prices. Standard breakfast food with a few Greek twists. What made this place worthwhile and re-visitable was that it was practically empty. At noonish on a Saturday there were only 4 tables occupied so service was good. Nothing like the usual experience at places like Bob and Edith's where you wait forever to sit and then get spotty, hurried service. Great for a low-stress hangover brunch. read more
