Came here on a Sunday with my family first thing when they opened... Service - The staff was extremely nice and helpful. With having a few allergies they were accommodating to make sure they would communicate them to the kitchen when preparing my food. Food Preparation - Service was slow in regards to when our food was ready. We also weren't able to eat at the same time as the food came out almost 15-20 min apart from one another. Two of our dishes were also extremely cold which was odd. We informed the waitress and manager and they notified the kitchen. 20 minutes later we were eating again. Food - The food was good. We had a few things at he table...fried catfish that my dad couldn't stop raving about, the lobster which was a bit tough and extremely hard to pull out the shell, the king crab which was excellent and the buffalo wings which were also really good. Overall - With this restaurant being a newer establishment and the manager apologized multiple times for our inconvenient and also compensated some of the bill, I will have to say that I would give them another try. The food, once corrected, was extremely good and both the waitress and manager was extremely nice. Ok.., so I've been to Two Fish maybe 5-6 times and I've been slightly impressed with the food but YESTERDAY I visited the crowded restaurant and even under pressure of having a vast amount of customer, my food was the best that it's s ever been and I left sooooo satisfied! I've had not so great experiences here before but the food has always been amazing! The Cajun & Garlic Butter flavor with I'm on Fire heat was insanely delicious!!!!! Also my waiter was a shy younger guy but he did a greaT job as well but the front door receptionist that sits people, she was a delight! She smiled and greeted people which made me even more satisfied with my experience. After a long day of work, this was the best way to enjoy my evening. Great job Two Fish! read more

What can I say about this place?! I will be back. The menu is not overwhelming. It's easy to read and understand. Our server took our quickly. My food in a bag arrived very quickly. Horrible service! We waited an additional twenty minutes even though there was a table available and we were the only people waiting. There was a large table available, then a smaller table became available but no one cleared it. Another small table became available and still we were kept waiting. We were finally seated at one of the small tables. While waiting for someone to take our order, another couple was seated behind us. The server started talking to them and taking their order. We were done with the awful service so we left. Good service does not cost the owner any extra money but bad service will cost them plenty of money. I work in the restaurant industry. Poor customer service! During my first visit, it took 15 minutes for someone to come to the counter and take my order, once I found out where the takeout counter was located. When the manager (I presume; a young man with a tattoo on the left side of his neck) arrived, he walked away from me as I was inquiring about a meal on the menu and didn't return until 10 minutes later. He left me to wait on customers who were dining in. After asking two other staff if they could take my order, a female told me that they didn't have a server on duty. When the manager finally returned, he told me that I should dine in next time (implying that I would get faster service). Whattt??? I politely informed him that I would not be back. No one wears name tags so identifying people is impossible and the service is lousy. The young staff are not alert to waiting customers and won't offer to help you. The food was okay, but not worth the frustration. I went here craving a good seafood boil. I found this place to have great staff, fast service and a clean establishment. What I didn't get was flavorful food. Don't get me wrong, the food was seasoned well, but my bag of shrimp which was the garlic/butter, didn't taste like garlic or butter. I ordered fried oyster and several crab legs and chose the house special flavor (3 mix???) but the flavor turned out to be slightly too salty but not that special. I really don't like the fries oyster. This is the one dish I would order in every Cajun seafood place. And most time they are good. But this one I almost couldn't find the oyster. If I were judging this place solely on food, I would give the place four stars. But I'm not so here it is...it's a small place but it's kinda swanky. My first problem was when I used the restroom it was clean for the most part but Garbage overflowed with napkins. They should keep up the cleanliness of it, or atleast check hourly because it seems pretty busy. We also thought they should have wet naps, as it could get pretty sloppy. Something that bothered me was that my waitress(KENNY) tried to put my bib around my neck and I reached out my hands to grab it and let her know I wanted do it myself. She came behind me and did it anyway against my request. I didn't trip although I should've cracked her damn fingers. Also, she never checked on us (NOT EVEN ONCE) to see if we were good the entire time we were there. We seriously usually order random things through our time out because we are super greedy. She came by to ask if we wanted the check but by that time someone else had already gave it to us. It's busy, but the place is honestly not big enough to not check on us atleast once. I was with a party of 7 this Thursday evening. Originally our wait time was an hour however we didn't get seated until approximately 2 hours later!!! Our party was told that a table of 7 was not available however the Two Fish associate kept seating like 2 or 3 party customers. So our party of 7 inquired about us making a change like splitting/separating our group--we were told "NO" by the associate as well as the manager. No changes could be made!!! The manager along with the associate who were seating customers need to revisit their customer service training manual or get additional training. In addition, the associate who were seating customers was not friendly nor professional. I would suggest like some sensitivity training for this associate. He was an Hispanic associate who to me appeared "insensitive" to the majority of African American women patrons! Most of the customers were very dissatisfied with the poor customer service here at Two Fish! Why do we continue to patronize these places? Well this was my first time and definitely my last time visiting this restaurant. The food was good and our waitress had some good customer service skills--overall, I would HIGHLY not recommend this restaurant!!! Very different setting none of the seating and tables match and the background has seaside decor with a cement floor. A unique layout inside with a very open floor plan and a small yet, cozy setting. From the outside, your probably pass the place if you didn't notice all of the cars parked. A very small sign is painted on the window with no other indication that it's a restaurant that specializes in seafood. Upon entering there's pretty much open seating. The menu is not very extensive but they do over seafood made either fried or steamed (for some items) and fried chicken. The first step is to choose your protein, fish or chicken, then choose how you want it cooked, how you want it seasoned and if you want sides. Sides are extra and there is no price listed for anything. I had a pound of shrimp made "three the chi way" minus the lemon pepper add andouille sausage. My friend had Buffalo wings and fries. Before our order was served, the waitress bibbed me (which I wasn't expecting) and provided us with a small plastic lined bucket. The chicken that my friend ordered was served in a basic, paper container and my shrimp and sausage were served in a clear plastic bag still sitting in all the flavors. We both enjoyed are food. Both of our orders were came hot, flavorful and spicy. The only thing I didn't like was that it got a little messy whole eating because the food is not served in traditional tableware. I'm assuming that's why they have paper tablecloths. I would definitely return again but early as this place gets crowded and busy and it is on a buddy street so parking can sometimes be a little difficult although it is free. read more

We love that Two Fish is in the neighborhood. This place is hopping so it's best to make a reservation to minimize the wait! Be prepared to make a mess at your table. When it comes to shrimp, crab legs or lobster you order by the pound and pay market price. There are a few fried "plates"where the price is predetermined. I wasn't in the mood to "work" for my food (having to crack crab legs, etc) so I ordered shrimp and fried catfish. The server recommended the "3 The Chi Way" for the seasoning and we got the heat level "just like I like it". I love spicy food and this met the order! We thanked the manager who happened to be the mother of the owner. We wanted to make sure they knew we appreciated the biz opening up in our neighborhood. JI had recently heard about this place, so we decided to check it out. It was right at dusk and there is very little signage so you can easily miss it. Street parking is ok, but not enough street lighting. Small and quaint. Seats around 50 people. Decor is classic rustic crab shack fisherman's wharf. Very cute. White paper on tables along with a roll of paper towels. Things will get messy. We were seated right away and the host was very welcoming. The menu is a basic 1 sheet of paper. Most items sold by the pound at market price. We had to ask the for the prices, our waitress never told us. I will get back to the waitress. We saw quite a few people order the crab, but we were afraid to take the risk. Especially for the price. I think they were $32 lb. The menu includes mostly shrimp, crab legs and lobster. Oddly enough they also had chicken wings. Maybe for those who don't like seafood. However, I would be skeptical whether they were fried in the same oil. Back to the waitress. Wish we had a different one. Terrible!!!. At least she did introduce herself. Anyway, she wasn't familiar with the menu and felt to need to tell us how much every extra item would cost. I would think that if people are willing to spend over $20 for crab legs or a lobster tail another buck or 2 wouldn't be a big deal. We ordered the fried lobster tail, fried oysters and shrimp. All come with french fries. Now check this out. The shrimp and oyster baskets come with seasoned fries and the lobster tail with plain fries. What's that about?? If we wanted the seasoned fries, it was extra. Huh?? The food was fresh and very tasty and the serving size was ok. The oysters were not gritty. That's a good thing. Shrimps were a nice size. Our water came to the table in a glass carafe, but we had plastic disposable cups. We asked for a knife and our waitress said that they didnt have any. We asked a different waiter and he brought us a plastic one. Our food came in cheap paper trays like the ones you get at the "taste". I would think that for the price we could all least get a plastic non disposable plate, basket and an actual glass or something. Even at old country buffet you can get a hard plastic place setting. The restaurant is welcome addition to the neighborhood. I wish them great success with a few improvements. I will give them a 2nd chance when in the neighborhood. Keep the host, trade out our waitress or give her more training. It would be nice to have a chalk board to show 'today's market prices.' Then people wouldn't have to ask. Special note. Not a fan. I had crawfish and the crawfish was filled with crawfish eggs. Which tells me they were not fresh cuz you suppose to discard the ones that are when u inspect the underbelly. Talked to the manger about it and she said "that's a risk you take with eating shellfish". I've been eating crawfish and other shellfish all my life and never was served pregnant shellfish! And if you've read any review of mine, my affinity for local, black owned establishments is strong. So this place is pretty much around the corner from my home, but today was my first visit, won't be my last. On weekends they have a special half pound each of crab legs and shrimp for $18. Not bad at all. Actually pretty darn great. The food is seasoned to perfection. I know people say this often but seriously , it was perfect. Every bite was amazing. The service here is commendable. They are attentive, and just genuinely nice. My server, sharita I believe it was. My father is allergic to shrimp so that brought some concerns as to how things were cooked. Our server was patient and thorough in explaining his options and just purely looking out for his well being. He ordered catfish and wings and she came around just to make sure everything was going good, checking to make sure there were no concerns health wise or not. She genuinely took an interest in making sure our visit was exceptional. That alone will have me coming back. I'm just so happy to have this place in my neighborhood read more

My son and I were here today because of a recommendation of his father who lives In the neighborhood. It was our first time dining here. The wait was really long for a table. It took about 30-40 minutes to receive our food. It was $40.00 for my meal (3 small lobster tails). My son had the crab and shrimp combo for $14.00. I thought mine was a bit expensive for 3 small lobster tails. The tasted pretty good. And were tender why it took so long to get it . I DK. After our meal we went to Mariano's and I purchased 4 lobster tails the same size as the ones I just ate. They were 2 in a pack for $11.00 and some change. I bought 2 packs. Still less than what I had. It takes about 5 to 8 minutes to cook and I make my own sauce. If I ever come here again, I'll order it to go! read more
