This place is okay, I'm not sure that I would go here again. There are some popular places in this area like The Salty Donut and Call Your Mother, both places that I have enjoyed. My friend and I got there at 9 AM and were sat right away, which was great. Service was quick and professional, nothing super personable. We ordered the banana bread, salmon toast, and steak and eggs. Here's how I would rank everything: 1. Banana bread was super yummy and I loved the whipped marscapone on top. Wasn't too sweet! 2. Steak and eggs-nothing too special about this steak and eggs. The sauce that comes with the dish is pretty good. Steak was cooked medium, but the sunny side egg was overcooked and not yolky enough. The hashbrown was probably the best part of this dish. 3. Smoked salmon toast is good if you like bright flavors. I was anticipating something a bit more savory, but it was alright. They were out of a couple of items but no need to worry everything worked out. I have the steak frites, which were pretty tasty, but also just steak and fries. what really made this place a notch above were the cocktails. They were so delicious. Otherwise, I would not return for the food. The breakfast burrito was bland and the ingredients were not mixed- if I took a bite on the left side I only got hash brown and avocado, if I took a bite on the right side I only got bacon and eggs. They also have locations in other major cities, like NYC, Austin, and Nashville, so it's fun to have the Colorado element woven in. Their menu is a mix of healthy options and irresistible treats. I haven't tried anything here I haven't loved. Flavorful, high quality ingredients, and well presented. A two hand clap for this spot! In my opinion, some small kinks in the menu to work out but the positives are so very strong. So glad to have this spot join the Tennyson dining line up. There is a prix menu at $45 includes appetizer, entree, and dessert showcasing about 80% of the menu. The unique quality of their prix fix is that not everyone at the table has to get this offering. Our first time in, my husband and I both opted for this and loved the selection we found. The menu items that I am still drooling over are burrata with roti, broccolini, and the half chicken. These bites demand animation while eating - eyes roll to back of the head. Yum noises. The whole nine yards. The cocktail menu has incredible assortment with unique ingredients. The care taken for curating the menu is clear in every aspect. I had the "I like it elote" - a savory corn tequila cocktail - and the "bougie banana" - a cocktail special with banana finish on a manhattan. Both perfectly balanced and super fun. The latter with dessert was a beautiful pairing. The pesto cavatelli was tasty, though pretty basic. Dessert was the banana walnut bread and the pavlova, which I could give or take. If I had one comment for the kitchen, it would just be to better time out the food delivery. Our entrees came out on top of us with the last few bites of our appetizer, having waited a good while for our apps to come. The space for this restaurant and presentation with food and drinks is very aesthetic, but when it comes down to how everything tastes, it's all very lackluster. I had the "like lollies" drink which was fine but a bit cloyingly sweet - I get the name suggests it is sweet but I think it could be more balanced. For my entree I got the chicken schnitzel - while it looked promising at a first glance, the meat was far overcooked and dry, and there was barely any sauce to compensate. The only item on the menu I can truly recommend is the banana bread with espresso mascarpone. This dessert actually tastes just as good as it looks, the espresso mascarpone is so creamy and light which pairs so well with the dense loaf with a crunchy sugar exterior. Service was wonderful, we were well taken care of and the servers came by often to check on us. For a Sunday evening, the restaurant was pretty empty but we still got a reservation just in case. read more

They sat us in the back room in a row of three or four tables, and no one else was in the space, so it was really loud and we were all right next to each other, trying to have private conversations but it was impossible. I liked the noodle dish, did not love the salmon toast. Overall, I think Two Hands needs to figure out who it is, and what it wants. read more

The hostess ended up saying the meal was on the house, which is generous and taking accountability, but I'd much rather pay for a good experience and enjoy myself. The place was packed and very loud. Some tables had cloth napkins and some paper. The staff either isn't experienced or just opened without figuring things out and having a good manager at the helm. We were seated 20 minutes late, and we weren't the only ones waiting. They brought us a dessert to start off, kinda strange. In these situations just say you'll cover the apps or first round of drinks. The service didn't improve. Our waitress was very nice, but didn't check in. Our entrees came out while we only had time to take a few bits of the appetizers. We sent them back, only to have them come out right as we were finishing our apps. I hate being rushed, and I like breaks between. The food: Hummus: was pretty good, although a bit too much lemon, but I know that's a preference. The veggies it was served with looked like something I may give animals on a farm. There's rustic and then there was this. The pita chip was moist and not crunchy and there was also focaccia. How about some good old fashioned fresh pita bread. The fritters were inedible. They were overcooked on the outside and guywy and heavy inside. Fritters should be light and melt in your mouth. The schnitzel was the best part, it was moist inside, nice portion, well done. The salad on top was a bit hard to eat and the sauce with it didn't come together for me. I prefer fresh lemon for me to use. The burger looked like fast food, mushy bun, two overcooked thin patties and terrible fries. This is supposed to be well made, simple food, but there were too many misses for me here. read more

Came here on a mid week stop for a quick breakfast. I saw this on an influencers page so thought I would try it. I sat at the bar and ordered a lavender latte and a standard breakfast of eggs,bacon, toast, There was maybe 2 tables total in there. It took my breakfast close to over 15 mins to come out. The bartender deeply apologized for the wait and it came out shortly after. She took care of me but if you are in a hurry this probably isn't your spot. Wow, I am impressed with the ambiance, presentation, and the food. Staff were very friendly too. I will comment that the service seems more international where they will leave you alone and let you enjoy your food. So don't expect a quick in and out. I went for brunch with a group of friends. We had a starter including a waffle which was heavenly and some spicy fries which actually went well with syrup from our waffle. I went with sides as my meal due to my egg sensitivity, but the rest of the group shared avocado toast with a poached egg, that breakfast sandwich, and a scramble. It all looked amazing and they ate everything. The restaurant is infant friendly with high chairs and a changing table in one of the restrooms. Like most businesses on Tennyson, you need to find street parking. Please note that they have some rules on splitting checks and add on 5% living wage for their staff. It's noted on the menu and website. Otherwise, this is a great addition to the Berkeley neighborhood. read more

My local friend chose Two Hands as it takes reservations for brunch, a rarity in Denver apparently. We were shown to our seats quickly and our server took our drink order soon after that. It took a long time for her to return and take our meal order and much longer to receive our food. We sat for nearly an hour before we received our food. My breakfast burrito was tasty, but nothing extraordinary. The jalapeños were all on one end of it and not evenly distributed at all. I enjoyed my matcha the best. My friend said her smoothie was very watery and was best described as a pressed juice rather than a smoothie. The table next to us received quick service as they received their food at the same that we did and they got there much later than us. When the bill came the server asked if we'd like to pay separately to which we said sure, but she didn't split it so I'm not sure why she bothered to ask. read more
