Used the Two Men and a Truck located at Nmays S in Round Rock. Hopefully this is the same franchise since I couldn't find a Yelp site for them. We used this service with 2 stops and then a final destination for a local move of some of our belongings. AJ and Travis were the young men sent to facilitate our move and boy did they ever. On time, careful with our belongings, polite and professional. They worked at a fast pace yet were extremely careful with our belongings. Because the first stop was our storage unit my husband also viewed their HWY driving, they drove at a good clip, but followed all laws and did not speed, but did not dawdle to pad the time like some hrly moving companies do, loading at both locations went smoothly as did the unloading( which I was there to view). I can't say enough good things about AJ and Travis! While they were careful of our belongings they were also very conscious of the time and they beat the low estimate of the quote I was given. I would absolutely use their service again and I would even recommend asking if AJ and Travis are available! read more

1/5 stars -- Great start, sloppy finish Hired these guys for a move within the neighborhood from a condo to townhouse ($700 original estimate based on hours/stops). For most of the day, they were hardworking and kind. But by the end, exhaustion clearly took over and the quality fell off a cliff. We even reached out to their manager to ask about finishing Monday and before we knew it -they said they were done and rushed my wife through signing off on them being done and everything being done well and the final price $2500 which had my teacher wife in tears. Coming home, I found: * A treadmill and an expensive bike left outside, uncovered * Lawn mower and weed eater pulled out of the shed and abandoned outside * Dresser drawers left sitting in the grass * 3 suitcases dumped outside next to our storage unit * Claimed storage was "full" when it wasn't -- they just weren't trying to fit things properly or stack it- they literally threw everything into piles on top of each other not caring about damaging anything * Ignored labels on boxes indicating where items should go Now we're stuck carrying heavy boxes and having extra furniture downstairs and are having to carry them upstairs ourselves after paying $2,500 for full-service movers. We have multiple broken items and they did not attempt to resolve the reassembling of the West Elm bed frame that they "had to break" to get it out of the condo. As a side note: probably 30-45 minutes of them at the uhaul storage place was them trying to back up their truck directly in front of the elevator instead of just next to it where they originally parked and they ended up hitting their truck on both sides on a pole trying to turn it and this was included in our $210/hr time when it shouldn't have been as they had been parked right next to where we needed to go in the first place. I also almost feel that's why we ended up paying the $2500 as well to fix their truck because they hit multiple things which had me worried about uhaul coming after us since they were hitting their property. If you need help for a quick 1-2 hour job, they might be fine. For anything longer, be prepared for the effort to drop off hard toward the end. A move that was suppose to take 4 hours, they extended it into 8 hours. They completely ignored previous quotes provided to me by them. I complained while the move was taking place, because I observed the movers not be expedient in moving my furniture. They lied and try to make it seem that it was all my fault when I talked to office manager. The office manager then revised my quote during the move, but didn't honor it when the move was complete. This is the worst moving company I have ever used. The two movers were very unprofessional. They didn't take any protective measures before moving; I had to remind them before they briefly wrapped one side of my door. It was only when their manager arrived and gave some guidance that things improved a bit. Throughout the move, I constantly heard furniture banging against the walls, and upon checking, I found that the walls were severely damaged. The two movers were slow and inefficient. The job, which involved moving just two beds, six or seven boxes, a bookshelf, a keyboard, a small table and chair, and a sofa from my home to a public storage room about 2 miles away, took them five to six hours. We are very disappointed with Two Men and a Truck. To be clear we used them twice... The first move way flawless, the staff were friendly, courteous, took care to protect all of our items and the move was super efficient and fast! The second move was a disaster! They were slow, watching sports on their phones while dismantling furniture. Nothing was protected despite us asking if there were going to do so because we started to see them load items onto the truck unprotected. Multiple items were damaged. Our sofa cushions were not wrapped they put them on the floor of the truck and it got dirty with dirt and debris. Our furniture was improperly reinstalled. They damaged our walls during the move. One person had to spend almost 30mins to do signatures and paperwork at the beginning, which they insist on charging us for active "moving time." We finished at 12:01 and they charged an extra 15 mins bc it's in 15 min increments and they clarify that the "paperwork" is part of their "time". $215 per hour for paperwork??? It's a scam! The guys that they sent were very hard working and carried their weight. But they do not know how to disassemble furniture and took a long trying to figure it out, at $215 per hour!!! I get a call from the manager assistant Damien as my card was declined who I then I then explained the amount was way higher than quoted and also shared that I wasn't disclosed that over the initial call. Damien stated he would review the calls as they are "monitored and recorded" and would give me a call once reviewed and if things were not quoted or disclosed on the call as should he would honor the price (much lower than what I was charged). A week and half passed by with no call and then I was charged $220 in addition of a $100 deposit (keep in mind no call from Damien or any form of resolutions details of their review were ever provided to me nor via email) I did not hear back as promised and nor did I authorized the charge at that particular moment. Let me start by saying that this is my second move w/them. The first move in 2014 was fantastic! The guys were so professional and I could tell they were experienced good movers. They knew how to protect my belongings. This last move the meseemed to be less experienced or not trained well. They were nice but weren't as concerned with protecting my stuff. They piled heavy boxes on top of each other and boxes started to give way. Good thing my move was under 10 miles away..... the drivers also broke a big branch off my oak tree while backing up too fast. We tried to stop them but they were going too fast. They said they were going to send out someone to clean up mess left by broken tree limb. No one has gotten back w/me. They sent out two guys but all they had w/them was a little trimmer tool. This oak tree limb that they broke was 7" diameter and about 15 feet long. They told me someone would be back to take care of it. At this point I should take them to small claims court and recover compensation for tree & clean up. I hired this company to move me in July. They sent lovely guys that were new except for one. They spent the entire day in two rooms. I had to guide the third one and tell them how to write on the boxes. They did not have pens. One of them packed upside down and they packed my wine which got put on a hot truck. I started packing to help. I bought the guys food and water then we returned to packing. The third mover was new and wondered around. The next day when the crew that loads the boxes on the truck to take them to my new place, we're livid that the packing was only completed in two rooms. They called management who came to review and they called more guys over to help it out which took the entire day and into the night. Because some of the boxes were packed upside down, one opened on my stairs which broke on my wood stairs and scratched the wood. The movers not knowing we're flipping the boxes over which broke some items. The guys were exhausted as I was after packing and loading my car. They got lazy at the end understandably and as a result items weren't completed abd some furniture left at the house. I was then charged $6000 for a 7 mile move.... 7 miles. I am a single mom. This was devastating to me. I called management to make it right that as a result of their missteps, I was not paying for that. I wanted a fair price. It was given to review by a person who was not in the team that came to Inspect what had not been done by the packers, when the moving guys called complaining. I was told that I had to pay for the hours out in and was then charged over $6000 for 7 miles and told nothing, including the cost of my ruined wine would be compensated. I'm moving this weekend to Dallas and it's costing me $3500 with another company with ethics. Not 7 miles but Austin to Dallas. I think this company felt so fraudulent and unethical, that they can send people to stand around and hang out at my house taking their time and not knowing what they are doing then charge me for their incompetence. They should have made right for me. How often do you get management called. Over by their own team then add more people because if the guys the day before. I needed some help moving an entire apartment so I called two men and a truck because my move was very unexpected because it's a long story with work because I was moving to a new manager position. Luckily, two man and a truck came to save the day. I placed a request for moving literally the day before and they said that's no problem. Will be there on time tomorrow while they did come a little late though it really wasn't that bad because they made up for that time by moving all my stuff quickly, all I had to do was point and tell them where to put everything and it worked out absolutely flawlessly. Now I don't know how much movers charge but I did see him a little bit expensive I was charged $650 for two movers one truck And moving it 15 miles in two hours. Whether I was overcharged or not though I was very happy with the service they did the reason I cannot give it. Apparently they value their work as much as a fast food joint comparing a $10 meal the same as $3k. After having used Two Men and a Truck for a previous move several years ago, we decided to go with a known quantity. Initially we were extremely impressed and pleased with our move from Austin to Conroe. Tyler was great in going over the charges for our estimate and scheduling everything. 5 Stars! Bailey the driver was a workhorse and was extremely careful and professional in processing the pack and load and then the unloading process. He was training a new associate and went to great lengths to teach in the moment how to pack breakable items, how to properly lift and carry items and how to drive a First Class moving experience! 5 Stars again for Bailey! The issue and reason for my rating is in the follow up from the Claims Manager Garrett Hudson. During the unload of the items, the "new" mover carved almost an 8" gouge into the hallway drywall when bringing up a furniture piece. Additionally there was a chair that had been damaged. We provided a receipt for the chair and the information and were told we would be contacted. The paperwork from Two Men states that there will be a follow up to discuss next steps in two business days. After not hearing back from anyone, I have placed four calls to the offices and left two messages requesting someone follow up with me about the damages. Our move was on the 9th of April and it is now the 22nd and STILL no follow up. We paid our move in full on the 9th. I called today and spoke to the dispatcher who told me that Garrett is the ONLY person I can speak to about the issues, and that he has been tied up in court the last couple of days and is off today. My ONLY remedy is to wait for him to reach back out to me or leave ANOTHER voicemail. Additionally the dispatcher told me that they have up to 90 days to follow up and rectify. Why put on your OWN paperwork that someone will follow up with me in two business days if you aren't going to hold to that? At least tell me, you are busy and haven't forgotten about the issue and will contact me as soon as possible so I know where I stand. I work in Retail and this would NEVER fly in my business! Keep looking. They are not better than the average movers. They loaded furniture up that had not had the contents of the drawers removed. The scratched most of my fine furniture. They are in a rush to complete the job and do not take sufficient care on all items. I used them 4 different times to move me out of my fire struck house and back in after it was remodeled. Very disappointed. I am now going to try my luck at getting warranty, but pretty sure it will not work since I did not buy the extra warranty coverage. I needed help moving to a house which was just a mile away from my apartment. I called and set up the moving date, gave all of my information, and requested extra men to help me move as my furniture pieces were rather large and heavy. Moving day, my information was not entered correctly, therefore this created a major delay. In the end, office management made things right, however I only had two guys doing all of the work which would take four guys to do. The two movers I had did a great job and they stayed late completing the job (job was completed at 1:00am). They had to make a second trip to finish moving my furniture. "Ikea furniture isn't supposed to be moved" This review is way overdue. Two Men and a Truck took care of our move last year, I was so frustrated from the experiece (during and after the move) that I didn't even have the energy to review them then. However, any time I see their truck around town I'm reminded of the terrible experience, so I've decided to share it once and for all. They helped me move from a condo into a house, so there were stairs and elevators involved. It all started with a wardrobe that was too big to fit in the elevator (a wardrobe which I described to Two Men and a Truck was the main reason I was hiring them, as it is very large and heavy, PRIOR to hiring them). They had to move it through the stairs instead, but said that since they had to go down that route, they wouldn't be liable for damages. Otherwise, they wouldn't move it. What choice did I have? This was the main reason I hired them, so I accepted and figured they would at least still be careful and professional. Big mistake. They broke one of the wardrobe mirror doors, and the other door had bumps where they obviously hit it on the handrail or a wall corner. To make matters worse, when they moved it into my house, they couldn't get it to stand up because it was too low of a ceiling (hypothenuse issue). They scratched the ceiling really bad and didn't even get it up after all. Once my husband arrived, he was able to measure and figure out how to stand it up, something I would expect experienced movers to be able to figure out on their own. After all, they are the "experts" in moving. When I called the manager to complain about the wardrobe situation, his response was "Well, Ikea furniture isn't supposed to be moved". WHAT?! That is the stupidest thing a moving company can use as an argument, and if it is an actual issue, they should disclose it prior to agreeing to move the furniture. Of course, they wouldn't take responsibility at all. I understood they wouldn't be liable by my agreement of using the stairs, but they downright stopped trying to be careful. The things they damaged weren't even heavy, just bulky. The second, very frustrating aspect of the move, was the drive from the condo to the house. Once we left the condo, I told the movers I was going to stop by a fast food chain to grab food, that they were free to stop somewhere to get a quick hamburger or something. Noted, they get paid by the hour and this doesn't count as a break, so I asked them to make it quick. I got to the house with my hamburger and they weren't there yet, I figured they were eating somewhere, so I waited. 15 minutes, nothing. 30 minutes, I called them and said they were stuck in traffic. I had just used that route and there was no traffic. They finally got home to tell me they forgot their clipboard at the condo and had to get it back. WHAT?! No way, I told them to start moving things into the house and they could get it later. They said they really need it. I was NOT going to pay for another 45 minutes of them driving around because of their irresponsibility. I decided to get it myself, so they could go ahead and be productive by moving things into the house. It made me extremely uncomfortable not to be able to suppervise them moving into the house, but what choice did I have. When I explained the situation to the "quality control" manager, expecting at least a small refund for doing their job for them, he just took an attitude of "well, you decided to get it yourself". Their "quality control" department is basically a "we'll give arguments to get away with anything" department. So frustrating, I don't even know why they have that department if isn't to make the customer feel better. $800 that were TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT. Worst move ever! I have moved all over the country and to and from Europe and have never had damage like I did with Two Men and a Truck. Against my better judgement, I should of never taken their word about having the best crew doing my move and they would be careful with my things. They arrived late, one truck got lost getting to my new place. The other truck waited for a them to show up to start unloading. Meanwhile the clock was ticking the hourly rate! We only moved 22 miles north and had more damage than I had moving to and from Europe! They broke things that are not replaceable and stacked boxes on top of boxes marked fragile, glass, china etc... Boxes came in smashed and had many pieces broken of china, crystal, glass which were carefully wrapped with lots of paper and bubble wrap. Even dented a copper pot that was pack in the middle of a box. Broke an antique desk passed down from family that will not be replaceable, plus dented and broke a flat screen TV. Lost hardware to a shelving unit and scratched and gouged wood headboard, that they failed to wrap and almost fell out of the truck when they opened the door at the other end. Scratched piano leg, shelving, I could go on and on! Took lots of pictures to prove the boxes were smashed and all the damage and broken pieces. Had to call their claims several time and left messages with Garrett the quality control/claims person. All he did was say he was sorry, but we could not prove they were negligent! How much more proof did they need than showing them pictures of all the smashed boxes, packing, and broken pieces! They definitely are not professional movers and do not take responsibility for their employee actions. What ever you do NEVER USE THEM! THEY ARE TERRIBLE! read more

Let me start by saying my issue isn't with the movers themselves. They came out and did a great job and worked so hard. Unfortunately a dresser was damaged in my move and I contacted Two Men and a Truck. They quickly responded and I thought all was going to be great and have someone come out and fix the dresser. Several emails later and it's been 2 and a half months and still no one has come out to look at it or repair it. read more

Absolute worst service I've ever experienced. I've never felt more scammed. Was quoted 3 hours to move a one bedroom apartment with no large furniture. It took these "two guys" 7 hours to move my apartment and was charged close to A THOUSAND DOLLARS. They were completely unprofessional when I spoke with a manager on the phone. They moved one thing at a time and took an hour lunch break that I was charged $109 dollars for. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL STEAL AND SCAM YOU. read more

Well, my stuff was moved. It was chipped, gouged, broken...but it arrived in Santa Fe. I could not have been more upset with the condition of my stuff. Two guys did show up for the move, they brought a third guy too- they took their sweet time loading my stuff too. Moving day is never fun but it shouldn't drag on, and your things should not be treated like rubbish. They did not pack my things into the truck with anything remotely resembling CARE, as framed art was just laid next to wooden furniture so of course it shattered to bits in transit- and in doing so scratched a brand, new $3500 mahogany dining set up. Gouged the matching bedroom set, broke several prices of my great-grandmother's china (who puts FRAGILE boxes atop a stack with nothing to reinforce? Of COURSE it toppled off! Needless to say, I took several photos and emailed management only to be told they were not liable and I was to pay in full for the movers, etc. what a delight. I've seen these trucks around town and gave them a call when I moved from south Manchaca to Riverside Dr. I hired two movers and was given a 4-5 hour quote for the move. The guys showed up on time and ready to work. I was still packing stuff, and the crew moved around me with ease. They delivered and unloaded my stuff on time without damage. Additionally - I never felt concerned about my stuff as I watched them work. They finished the whole move in little over four hours - and worked every minute of it. I was really impressed. My experience with Two Men & A Truck couldn't have been better. I'll use them again no doubt. read more

These guys were awesome, they moved us from Round Rock to New Braunfels without any issues. They guys worked till 7pm at night until the work was done. We had to get an extra uhaul truck because we really should have gotten 2 trucks for all our stuff, they did not have to help load it but they did anyway. read more
