Attached to a lively arcade bar and in a food truck spot, Two Sons is take out only and serves full pies or by the slice. We arrived around 10:30 pm and the slices did not look freshly baked. The eggplant parm slice was pretty soggy and bland and the cheese slice was very average. For the meh quality, this place is far too pricey.

Two Sons Pizza, tucked inside The Coin Slot, surprised the hell out of me. I've had a lot of pizza in Traverse City, but this might be the best yet. I ordered a custom pie (mushroom, sausage, bacon), their meatball pizza with added pepperoni, and the Pepperoni Grand. Every one of them was seriously impressive. Crust was crisp but chewy, sauce actually tasted fresh, and the toppings were balanced and flavorful--not just piled on for show. The meatballs especially hit different. It's low-key, no frills--just a little counter in an arcade bar--but they're doing it right. Great pizza, made with care. Definitely worth the stop.

Great Pizza. Call ahead because there could be a wait. Had a pepperoni with light on the cheese and it was good. Small place inside but attached to a bar and arcade.

Dropping a review as a tourist, this place was recommended to us by a couple locals that said it was good pizza. First, the size is huge. We (family of 9, 6 adults, 3 kids) ordered 3 pies, due to people wanting different types. We had PLENTY of leftovers. Second, we were a bit baffled. All 3 of the pies, none had cheese. Ill admit, there were literal sprinkles of mozzarella (less than a dime size on a piece of pepperoni and no more than 1-2 pieces of mozzarella per piece) and the only conclusion we could come up with was that because we ordered "custom" pizzas, we didn't select mozzarella as a topping (we figured it was like adding extra cheese) so we got none. Third, a little bummed that we ordered knots, 2 orders, but they only had one. It tastes like they used a whole bottle of garlic salt, which we liked, but others may not. Fourth, delivery was a bit of a mess. You order through door dash, and we specifically asked for a handoff at our room, because were staying at GWL, come to find out that they left it in the lobby, and anybody could have came and grabbed it. We never got notice from door dash until well after we grabbed it from the lobby. Door dash delivery was done by Two Sons, not an independent driver. Overall, for the price theres plenty to go around, but the hoodwink on cheese made us think twice next time.

Felt like I was in New York, but better! Amazing NY Style pizza with a 100 pepperonis on it. Workers were real nice too.

Staff warned us about the kitchen being backed up because the recently opened rooftop was packed. (It looked like a frat house nightmare up there. We sat in the dining room with families and other mostly sober people.) We ordered the sweer chili cauliflower appetizer just to kill time and match with a beer, but it turned out to be awesome. And I am generally not a fan of cauliflower substitutions for proteins. The veggie pizza wasn't too long of a wait, and it was solid. Lots of artichokes and olives. We took half for leftovers and it worked well as a cold pizza breakfast. Based on reviews, I wasn't expecting much, but I think this place is underrated. We left feeling like we made a good choice.

Our party was 6 adults and 5 kids. Great location for going to the Cherry Festival carnival rides after eating.

Although the wildfire smoke likely kept some people away, we came around mid afternoon in what should be the beginning of prime time hours and the place was empty. Not a good sign. I found it a bit odd that we had to order at the bar, considering only 2 other groups were there. There were like 4 employees just chatting away at the bar as well. At this point I know what I like in craft beers and I usually never have an unpleasant experience trying them, but we liked nothing we ordered on the beer flight! We had put in an order for the BBQ flatbread as an appetizer as well, and the chicken was super dry. I can't blame the sauce for being to spicy since I'm sure it's a popular local brand. That one's on us. We decided to have an actual dinner closer to our cabin.

When we ordered, the bartender didn't drink which made it hard to know what certain beers taste like, but honestly, no judgement because he did the right thing and offered tastes of beer which was awesome and helpful! So service wise I would say great! The beer tasted really good as well and was decently priced. They had a bourbon barrel stout which was pretty good and newly released. The biggest issue we had was with the food. I ordered the spam sandwich with chips and my wife ordered the chicken quesadilla. While the food was cheap, the quality of the food also seems that way too based off what we ordered. The spam sandwich was supposed to be teriyaki flavored, and didn't get any of that. There wasn't a lot of thousand island dressing on it too, which made the sandwich dry. The chips that were served were clearly out of a bag as they were cold, which made it seem like I could have just gotten a bag myself. I would have paid a few dollars extra to get something fresh like fries. While spam comes from a can and I know this, my wife's chicken quesadilla had chicken that was clearly from a can - it was sopping wet, and the meat was very chunky, and very salty. This made us worry the rest of the food may not be very fresh. While we did have that experience, I will say the pretzel bites were really good and did seem fresh, and they were sourdough! So that was nice. I think this place has very good beer, and a really cool bar setup with a nice stage, arcade machines, and much more. However, I wouldn't come back here for lunch. Instead, I would make food at home. I would highly recommend more fresher options, and I would pay a little more for better quality food.

There are no waiters, so you order everything at the bar then they bring your food to you with a table number. I ordered the raspberry beer and it was really good. I typically don't like beer, but I love fruit flavors. As an appetizer, we got the red pepper hummus and it was meh--I didn't really like it. It was thick and had the texture of cold refried beans and instead of pita, it was served with tortilla chips that tasted like Tostitos brand. For my flatbread pizza, I chose the Wolverine which was topped with pineapple, pepperoni, jalapeños. I've never had pineapple on pizza so I can't really be a good judge, but it was alright. I liked how thin the crust was. For dessert, we got the mini ice cream bars as recommended by the woman sitting near us. They're Ice Box Brand Ice Cream Bars by a Michigan-based company. They sell two sizes: regular and mini. I chose a mini toffee crunch and it was the perfect size. It was really good. I'd love to just buy these ice cream bars to have at home!!

There was no pizza crust whatsoever and barely any sauce/marinara on it either. It was super greasy as you see in the picture. It was even a little burnt looking like it was cooked for too long. It wasn't super busy. Fortunately, once we were seated, our waitress was very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcomed. We decided to do a flight. My husband and I tried 5 different cider each. I was a huge fan of the cider that reminded me of fall (apples) called Octorock. But the tropical one, skinny dip sunset, came as a close runner up with pineapple and passion fruit strongly coming through. I also tried the Brom, peach and strawberry feels. The peach was probably my least favorite since I couldn't really taste it. It could have just been my taste buds, too! My husband's favorites were the vanilla and the cinnamon ones. I tried both and agreed. The vanilla really came through and was very aromatic and the cinnamon made me think of fall, especially when I drank it after the octorock. I wonder if they have a combination of both in the fall? We also got dinner while there. I had the fennel sausage pizza with their housemate Italian sausage. It was so good! My husband had the jerk pork shoulder served with rice and beans and said it was delicious and flavorful. Overall, it was a successful dinner and a great way to try different cider! The place has modern decor, well spaced larger tables (even the two seaters are quite roomy). They have an outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Since we took our pup on a couple of adventures, she stayed at the house and napped but we saw a few dogs enjoying the beautiful weather and the social time with their humans. This is definitely a great place for a meal or of you're feeling adventurous about ciders. They have a wide variety of selection, and quick, fantastic service (minus grumpus).
