Was craving seafood so the family I went to try out this place near home. They recently added pho to their menu and it tasted amazing. I'm really particular with the pho broth, and they did not disappoint. The kiddos enjoyed every bite of that bowl of pho. We tried their house special crawfish and it was good, I'm not a big fan of the cajun flavor but it was not bad. The fried seafood platter came out hot, crispy and fresh no complaints. I also ordered their fried boudin balls that was recommended by the manager but did not get a chance to take a photo, the kiddos got to them first. Come show your support if you're in the area. I came in one a weekday lunch, with no customers in the restaurant. I was greeted by a waiter who was attentive throughout my dine in experience. They had a bucket and paper towel on each table. They had wooden chairs and tables. It looked like a typical seafood boil restaurant. I started off with Crawfish Étouffée. It was okay. It was actually my first time having this dish so I feel like I don't have much to compare to. It has the holy trinity in it, but the taste just wasn't there. It was sort of bland. However, adding hot sauce to it made it more flavorful. They were not stingy in the meat but I wouldn't get it again because of the lack of flavor. I got the lunch special 1lb black mussels and 1/2lb shrimp with sauce on the side. The seafood was delicious, but the mussels meat were all small, with a few medium. For $15.99 I guess that sounds about right to the amount that you would get. I probably won't get the mussels here again because of the size, but I would be willing to try other items on the menu in the future. read more

I love this place!!! Hidden Gem Alert. My husband found this place randomly on Facebook and tried to redeem himself after the very underwhelming experience we had at Fl**d's Seafood up the highway. They were always cleaning and tidying up. Bathrooms were spotless. Our server was Tara, i think she was training another young lady. Ask for Tara if you can, she's awesome! She was very helpful, funny and professional. Seriously, I had something in my eye and Tara went out of her way to get a wet paper towel for me. I love the overall vibe. We ordered both crawfish and pho and were waiting for our food for about fifteen minutes before our server came out and told us they "ran out of pho." I would've appreciated them telling us sooner, but it was too late to go anywhere else. We had also ordered potatoes and corn with the crawfish, but didn't receive them when our order came out. They said they'd go ahead and make them, but we'd already finished our crawfish at that point. I'm so happy I got to try a cajun seafood restaurant before I left Houston. Overall, the food was delicious. My only complaint was the service was lacking. Our waitress was super nice but forgetful. Also they didn't have raw oysters at the time that I went and that was a bit disappointing. This is what I ordered: Calamari: First time having calamari like this. Very thin and stick like, but it was good. It was crunchy and had a nice sauce to go with it. Fried Okra (4/5): I was not a fan of the ranch that came with it. I felt like the fried okra could've used a bit more seasoning but overall it was still good. 1 pound of shrimp head on extra spicy with 1 egg and sausage. The sauce was actually a bit spicy but still very enjoyable. A little surprised that I didn't get a bucket, hand wipes, bibs, or gloves to peel the shrimp. Not sure if this is just a Cali thing? Side note: They give you butter on the side to dip the shrimp in. I actually asked for lemons on the side so I can use that with my shrimp instead of the butter. The sausage was good as well, nothing super special but still very enjoyable. PS: I always love cracking my egg towards the end and mashing the egg yolk in the sauce. It just absorbs all the flavor and it tastes so good either by itself or with some rice. Shrimp tacos (5/5): Mmmm, my mouth is watering thinking about these shrimp tacos. They were delicious ! So I'm in TX for a lil while and thought I'd missed crawfish season. It's near the end so choices are limited and the crawfish are smaller. I went here 3days in a row and even had some delivered on another day. The crawfish are purged very well. I got the combo seasoning w/mussels and mushrooms. It was excellent!!! I believe this is an Asian-Cajun fusion establishment. They don't disappoint with the flavors. I ordered some hush puppies but they were a lil over cooked and too dry for my liking. I went for the crawfish though and was not disappointed. I wish we had one of these back in California!! Sadly, native Californians don't eat a lot of crawfish. They don't know what their missing. TX Crawfish and Seafood is my favorite place in the area to get boiled seafood. The prices are reasonable and the flavor of the seafood boil is always on point. I also appreciate how there's is never a huge crowd whenever I go so there is no crazy long wait time. I ordered my usual snow crab cluster and half a pound of ez peel shrimp. I got mild-Cajun flavor and It was good but I realized that I should have gotten the spicy instead of mild since the mild didn't have any kick to it at all. I also wanted to try their garlic Parmesan wings and requested all flats but was told that they could not give me all flats, which was disappointing so I did not order them. My mom ordered the sausage fried rice and added shrimp to it. I do not eat sausage so I didn't try it but she said it was delicious. I thought it was interesting that they serve a sausage fried rice, I have never seen that before. She also ordered cheese puffs and the shrimp & chicken wontons which were crispy and flavorful. I think I will order them for myself next time. Overall, my experience here was decent. Let me start by saying this was not our first time here. Before we enjoyed everything, crawfish were perfectly cooked and easy to peel. This last visit.... Holy cow was it different. The crawfish were extremely difficult to peel, they were the dirtiest crawfish I have ever come across. Overcooked and some were mealy, and the size differences were crazy. I understand the season has been rough, but some of these were just tiny. I cut my thumb peeling, so I stopped peeling about 15 crawfish in, decided to take the rest home. I also got easy peel shrimp, they were tasty but a tad overcooked. Nothing special about the potatoes. My husband had crawfish and shrimp with heads on, same issues I had. His corn was so covered in seasoning he rinsed it off with my cup of water. I am all right paying for a good meal, but $121.14 for 5 pounds of crawfish and 3 pounds of shrimp, just crazy expensive. He had a beer and I had water, he ordered a water after we got into the meal, but got another beer instead. Yeah, we could have sent it back and got the water, but the server should have gotten it right in the first place, it was not busy. He just drank the beer instead and had some of my water. All in all I would rate this last visit as a 2 out of 10. Not likely to return, it just wasn't worth it to us. Better crawfish could have been had from the grocery store. read more

The restroom had NO toilet paper, and NO napkins. The waiter didn't ask if we wanted refills at all. (We were okay with that) We waited for it and it comes out with shrimp as well we just left it. When I checked the tab while checking out I noticed we were being charged extra for the shrimp. So I asked about the charge and they said it was for the shrimp in the gumbo, and I explained that I ordered chicken and sausage. The waiter asked the manager to comp the gumbo. The manager comps out the extra charge for the shrimp but not the gumbo. The waiter told the manager to comp out the gumbo too. So the manager got an attitude and said THE GUMBO TOO? We've been coming here for a year and are almost never disappointed! The house sauce is the best seafood sauce I've ever had. Like a citrus-y garlic butter. So good! Their fried rice is good and the onion strings are perfect. The only drawback is the weights of the food seem light sometimes. I know there are times we've ordered 3lb of something and it's less.
