I have to say that this is one of my favorite home town restaurants and quite unlikely since it's situated on the eastern shore of maryland - not a destination known or expected to have great sushi or Asian fare. First you have to love and appreciate the name: simply U SUSHI. It's cute. If you see the pictures you will notice however that this is a place of artistic food mastery!! The sushi not only looks incredible but tastes incredible too. I am unfortunately allergic to sesame oil and seeds, and they tailor all the food for me. My hands down favorite since I'm a traveler of Japan, is the Udon. The udon they make is a gigantic bowl of steaming filled chunks of seafood, chicken and vegetables. It is served with a delicious side of tempura shrimp (two) and a bowl of miso soup or salad. Simply hearty and outstanding. Being a large eater, I usually add delicious tuna rolls (toro maki) and salmon eggs (ekora). The combo of the above is basically a 'last meal request' before death! It's that good. My wife and I have always loved U Sushi and the quality of their rolls, even when we get take out. Today (09/22/2022) I ordered online for my wife to pick up on her way home from work. I was involved in a pretty serious car accident, and she was unable to pick up the food because she had to come pick me up. Not only did the restaurant call me to make sure everything was ok, they called me back and delivered the sushi to me! I had already paid online and told them to just give it to another customer. I'm still stunned. 10/10 customer service and the rolls were delicious. I honestly will never take my business any where else. Thank you U Sushi! read more

I'll be honest, as a sushi snob who lives in San Francisco, i wasn't expecting much. But my kid begged me for sushi when we were visiting his grandparents and I was not just pleasantly surprised, I was blown away. The sushi was so fresh and beautifully prepared, service was quick and considerate, the place was spotless. We came in on a Friday night at 10pm. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. So we knew we'd be getting speedy, efficient service. From being seated to having our order taken, everything was quick and seamless. The waitress (and rest of the staff) were extremely friendly. We even offered to order our sushi to go and they insisted we stay and enjoy ourselves. We had some sake and an assortment of sushi pieces followed by the U Sushi roll. Everything was fantastic. The sushi was incredibly fresh. Their salmon was some of the best we've had in Maryland! We really, really appreciate the staff being so kind and patient to customers who came in 30 mins before close. Typically places will be curt or rush you but they didn't at all. This place is nice. The service is very good. The chefs take time preparing the food and it shows in presentation and taste. The green tea tasted as one expects in a Japanese restaurant. Add me to the list of fans! First: the interior is hip. Spartan but cool with a sense of design atypical to the region. Second: Impressive, quality fish. I always get Chirashi when visiting a restaurant for the first time. The quality of the different fish was excellent and the portions were impressive. The only thought I had was in regards to the lack of accompaniments that traditionally go into the mix. There were a couple pieces of tsukemono (Japanese pickles) but a few more would have been nice. I don't remember if there any shitake as well. The reality is, there is no one recipe for chirashi, so it isn't that the platter I received was "wrong" just not quite as varied as I've had elsewhere. I remember thinking I'd have traded a piece of fish or two for more of the accompaniments. Bottom line: go here! Be adventurous! Support a great local business. read more

My fiancé and I were in the mood for something different since moving to the area almost 3 years ago. We regularly have done sushi many places between Baltimore and Rehoboth. U Sushi (at 4:30pm on a Sunday during beach season) was dead. Kevin waited on us. He as well as other staffers were super attentive. The sushi was delicious, our seaweed salad very refreshing and the rice and noodle dishes so fresh and not over seasoned. We will definitely go back and probably get carry out often. read more

This is one of the best sushi restaurants that I have ever been to. Although they are on a strip mall, don't let the exterior fool you. Their service is extremely attentive and accommodating to restrictive diets. I recommend the salmon mango roll and the pineapple fried rice with chicken. They have a large menu and seem to have more of the rarely available sushis like uni and ikura. When we wanted to take some stuff to go, they put it in the boxes for us and even allowed me to take my drink to go. This place deserves 6 stars! read more

We made a reservation for 6pm on Valentines Day. When we arrived to the restaurant they were busy, which was to be expected. After about a 20 minute wait, we were seated. From that point on it all went down hill. Our waiter gave us menus then it was if we ceased to exist. We watched as he took orders from other tables that were seated after us. Not once but several times. We let it go as it wasn't worth ruining our night over. We ordered sushi for appetizers, as well as full dinners. After a very long wait, they brought out one dinner from our party of 6. Then after 15 minutes they brought out 4 more dinners. One person in our party still didn't have their entree. Ok, we could have dealt with that BUT every single entree was wrong and cold! We ordered filet mignon medium rare which was cold and overcooked. The shrimp was over cooked and cold. One plate was supposed to be shrimp and chicken, but no chicken. Everything was dried out like it had been sitting for a very long time. Even the noodles were hard, dried out and cold. Then they brought out all of the sushi! One person in our party STILL didn't have their dinner. I asked to speak to the manager and a woman came up stating she was the manager. Her excuse was they were busy (Friday night and Valentines Day, ummm expected), she came up with other ridiculous excuses. Then she offered to REHEAT OUR COLD FOOD!! Now if you want a medium rare filet and it comes out cold and overcooked beyond well done, and shrimp is cold and overcooked, why on Earth would your solution be to REHEAT it??? It was inedible already! We have been to this restaurant many times and it has never been like this! The manager put her hands on me and was rubbing my back. I mean WHAT IN THE WORLD??? Then she made a phone call and offered 50% our bill. So now we just want to leave because we are over this whole situation. They bring the bill and it was not discounted 50%. Now we are really over it, so we pay the bill (over $90), tip the waiter who tried to help us and leave. Hungry. WORST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD THERE!! We will never go there again. Ever. Went here for the first time recently. Didn't know what to expect, given it's a small town sushi restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. We ordered spicy yellowfin and spicy salmon rolls, and cooked shrimp rolls as appetizers. We also had a shrimp pad thai entree. It was all very good, but the spicy items were not very spicy and the pad thai lacked a bit of flavor Service is a bit disorganized as the waitresses take a group approach and you can be asked the same thing by multiple servers. The decor is nice for a strip mall location. There are tables, booths and a bar at the sushi station, although the partial wall between the bar and the chefs is too high. We'll go back and try some more items like the noodles or hibachi offerings. The large boats of sushi they served to other tables looked impressive. read more

So we have been back to U Sushi several more times. They have indeed improved in terms of service and they now have a liquor license. Mysteriously though they still have not figured out how to make unsweetened iced tea. The sushi is competent but bland. Spicy rolls are anything but. The experience at this restaurant has improved greatly but the comparisons to Nobu etc. were ridiculous then and remain so now. This is easily the best sushi restaurant on the Shore. read more

Stopped there for lunch today and ate at the sushi bar. The Godzilla roll and the spicy tuna roll were both excellent. Their menu is very diverse. Staff was friendly. I missed the lunch special but they do these Monday through Saturday. If you like sushi and are either here or passing through town stop and give it a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

We love sushi and are so happy to have this great restaurant in Easton! The owner & staff are friendly and thoughtful and we love trying new specials and appetizers - tonight we had sliced yellowtail with jalapenos in ponzu sauce and a salmon/tuna tartar two ways. Outstanding. All the standard rolls are great but my absolute fave is the M-16, and the Black Dragon is a close second - there are tons of specialty rolls. I've never managed to save room for dessert (since we gorge on the fresh fish) but I can attest that the beers are always cold, the green tea is tasty and I always leave very satisfied! read more

I have been going to U Sushi since they opened. There is a lot of times I don't have time to eat a long lunch for I only get 30 min. Everytime I have gone they have always had my lunch prepared and ready to go. The food is outstanding. Great lunch prices. I try different things and had the udon noodles, I have had the stirfry udon noodles with chicken and I have had the one with shrimp. Both are outstanding. The sushi is great. Everything taste wonderful. The girls I work with love it and I have recommended U Sushi to many people. You guys rock it! read more
