Same day fix and return... expensive-ish, but less than I expected. I needed an entire operating system deleted and reinstalled. Also I needed a specific browser installed. When I got the laptop back it worked like a charm except for a minor glitch with the screen brightness. I returned the next working day and WHILE I WAITED, the tech guy spotted the problem and fixed it. No problems now. Both Octavio and Fernando were terrific. DO NOT GO HERE for ipad repair. I rarely post on social media but I want to give warning. I went into this location nearly 2 years ago to get a some pressure blemishes repaired on my iPad pro. First the screen they put on was defective, then they broke the home button, then they broke my touch ID when they tried to fix the button. And there was a long run around in between visits where they said my unit was at the central location, or being shipped, etc. I called the headquarters several months ago and they never called me back. Absolutely, without a doubt, uBreakiFix - Phone and Computer Repair provided THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I have ever had in my life. I'm in my 50's and a New Yorker for 3 decades. I've seen my share of bad customer service, believe me, but uBreakiFix somehow managed to exceed the absolute lowest possible bar with their incompetence, lack of even the most basic customer service skills, a shocking inability to manage customers' expectations, zero time management abilities... the list goes on and on and on. I wasted at least 12 HOURS OF MY LIFE trying (and failing) to get the simplest repair made to my Android phone which has a broken screen. I waited in line for hours, listening in pain to the oh-so-cheerful, floppy-haired dude at the desk chit-chat with customers about how "cool" the stickers on their laptops are, and hemming and hawing about all kinds of unrelated issues (meanwhile, the line of angry customers in the packed sardine tin of a store continues growing as floppy-haired dude keeps shooting the sh--t about Comic Con and cartoons and fun stickers! Yay! When I finally get to the front of the line, of course, floppy-hair tells me with a big sh-t-eating grin that my Asuriant claim was processed incorrectly! I need a cracked "inner screen" replaced -- not a "cracked screen" as it says in the claim. So I politely ask the uBreakiFix to... you know, FIX the problem... but, no, the burden is on me (naturally) to call Asuriant back, wait on hold for ANOTHER hour, and refile my claim. But guess what? THERE IS NO OPTION IN ASURIANT'S SYSTEM to fix a 'cracked inner screen." So, the Asuriant dude has to call uBreakiFix to ask them to MANUALLY update the claim... which they COULD HAVE DONE WHEN I WAS THERE! So hours have passed. I squeeze my way back into the sardine tin, which is now packed with at least 12 people, and by the time the sky is darkening, I finally make my way back to the floppy-haired fellow at the desk. I try to explain (as calmly as possible) that Asuriant cannot change the claim; uBreakiFix has to do it. The floppy-haired fellow jovially tells me that they have to order the part. Why? Because they only have it in black, not silver. "I don't care!" I say, on the verge of tears. Well, I have no choice. So my ENTIRE DAY IS DOWN THE TOILET, requiring me to cancel plans for the weekend that I was looking forward to after a VERY stressful past few weeks at work. I get multiple calls from uBreakiFix that the part is ready, and I can come by any time and they will prioritize fixing my phone. I go to the store, and, of course, there is a man in there with a SAVAGELY BARKING AND GROWLING gigantic husky / wolf / something -- on a leash, but looking and acting very menacing, barking at me, and not eliciting any sort of response from the owner or floppy-hair behind the desk. Praying I won't get bit or mauled -- although maybe that would be on-brand for this establishment -- I finally hand over my phone for repair. Of course, I'm informed that "It could take 3 hours... maybe longer." I had to literally LOL when I heard that. Yo, bro, come on. I heard you tell AT LEAST twenty customers the same damn thing the other day when they dropped off their phones and computers. "This should take 2 hours" or "Give us about 3 hours." Hilarious. But, all joking aside, and being heart attack serious for one moment: PLEASE PLEEEEEEEEASE DO NOT EVER, EVER GO TO THIS STORE. Even if your phone, even if your LIFE, depends on it. Why? You will languish and deteriorate for hours and NOTHING will get done. Nada. Did you see "Beetlejuice"? Do you remember the waiting room in hell? Well, that's uBreakiFix on Lexington Avenue. It is a living hell. I would rather go to a bombed pile of smoking ash and rubble that was once a phone repair shop in war-torn Ukraine, pull the bloody corpse of the technician out of the wreckage, and put my phone in his dead hand. Guess what? I would get much better, and much more competent, service from this mangled corpse that I would from Mr. Floppy Hair and his ilk and the good people at uBreakiFix. Avoid. read more

Unclear if this place has stolen my laptop or is just entirely incompetent. They've had my laptop for about 2 months. I received confirmation from them that it was received via mail and was told the repair would take about a week. I still haven't heard anything back. Every time I call the line is busy, and my emails to the employee who first booked my repair have been ignored. When I called the general ubreakifix phone number (not this location), the employee I spoke to confirmed that she was also unable to get through to this location and would continue to try to do so to get back to me. Horribly run, understaffed and disorganized. After 3 trips there, waiting in the cold for extended periods of time and losing my phone, they told me they couldn't replace the cracked screen. I saw 6 or 7 people come in while I was waiting and NONE of them had their issues resolved, all left frustrated and disappointed. There was only ever one person on staff and while they were polite and doing their best they are in a hopeless situation. Unfortunately, my friend just had an incident there last week. The staff there sent his laptop to another site without asking first. Then when my friend went there to clear it up, the staff attacked him physically! He was injured and had to go to the hospital. The police are currently investigating. Fine to pay it, but when I got it back I noticed about an hour later there was a weak spot in the corner of my phone (a blue circle that looks like it would show up if you put a lot of pressure in one area of your screen). I went there today and I was in a really bad situation with Samsung and T-Mobile.And I want to say I really appreciate their patience while I was on the phone on their lobby talking to Samsung and T-Mobile fixing the mess.They didn't have to let me stay there and take care of it,but they did.And their technician did look at my phone and offer to repair it.And even though I didn't take him up on the repair offer,his evaluation of my phone was very helpful to fixing my problem.Because once he diagnosed the problem it was much easier for me to communicate with T-Mobile and get my needs met.So I really appreciate that.I am very happy with the service I received there.I highly recommend them.And again they are really patient and kind cause I was really losing my patience with T-Mobile cause I was on the phone with them for quite a while and they let take of that cause I needed an answer before I decided whenever or not to take them up on repairs or not. read more

I made an appointment to have my screen fixed at 1pm today and confirmed the appointment via their automated email that I received this morning. When I got there, the store was closed and the gate was down and locked. This store is a complete scam & they steal electronic parts from whatever you bring in! I brought in my Google Pixel 4A 5G with a cracked screen. One of the reps fixed my phone extremely fast which was red flag number one. He than gave me my phone back with electrical tape on it stating that it's to keep the screen in place & on top of all of that he gave me my phone back scorching hot! He than offered to put it under the Air conditioner which is unusual & unprofessional! One the second day of me having my phone with a " new screen " I've noticed that my screen was lifting as if he did not properly lay the screen down & that was on a Friday after hrs so I wasn't able to call or get into with anyone to inform them of the issue. Saturday comes by & my screen starts to lift even more! We all know how fragile phone screens are & the slightest lift can crack it especially the thin ones for the newer phones. They tried to tell me that there's physical damage so the wouldn't be able to replace it. They also called the police on me for being upset about all of this. The police came & understood my frustrations & demanded that they do something about my phone. The rep took it in the back & said his other rep went to go get the screen. A few days go by with them having my phone & now all of a sudden my mother board is damaged & my phone won't turn on at all! They said they got multiple techs & even Google techs to take a look at it but they couldn't figure out what the " issue " was. They STOLE PARTS OUT OF MY PHONE! THAT WAS THE ISSUE & acted like I was crazy & as if I made these things up! When I brought my phone to them my phone just had a damaged screen! It was still responding! I would push a button & it would vibrate meaning that the inside of my phone is fine it's just that I wasn't able to see anything due to screen damage. THEY REPLACE THE DAMN SCREEN WITH ANOTHER SCREEN STOLE PARTS WHICH WOULD EXPLAIN THE RUSH & HALF ASS PUT THE SCREEN ON & DAMAGED MY ENTIRE PHONE! DONT COME HERE! It's horrible & I'd hate for this to happen to someone else with a more expensive electronic! Their prices are completely unreasonable & outrageous as well! $200 for a Pixel screen! $250 for an iPhone 11 screen when apple charges $199! DONT COME HERE! read more
