Came here to try and get my cracked iPad screen fixed, was told it would cost $150 just to replace the glass. I had been quoted $100 for the same service at a different shop down the street and asked if they could price match, since their website claims they will beat any local competitor's price by $5. The employee told me this particular location on Sherman way does not price match. Even though their website says they honor the low price guarantee at this location, they would not do it for me. My Xbox One X was not displaying an image or providing any sound so I brought it in to this shop to get it repaired. I turned it in on a Sunday and got it back on Saturday of the same week which wasn't a bad turn around time since my Xbox was never repaired. I made my first phone call to the shop on Monday the day after my drop off to confirm that the unit was able to be repaired. The technician told me yes it would be able to get repaired because it was most likely the "Re-timer Chip" since Xbox's and PS's have faulty chips. They ordered the part and started repairs on Saturday (my pick-up date). I called to confirm I can start heading over there to pick-up my Xbox. The technician came out of the back room and explained to me that the "Re-timer Chip" was not the problem because he replaced it and nothing changed. He then told me that he could not do more then that because he does not know how to use a Multi-Meter (Voltage Meter), a device that check current between the electronic components. I would like for you guys reading this to take that in for a second. A shop that repairs electronics has a technician that does NOT know how to use a Multi-Meter open up my Xbox One X and un-soldered a chip on my motherboard and re-soldered a new chip onto the board. Keep in mind this did NOT fix the issue. The tech also stated i should try finding someone more experienced to try and fix the problem I then took my Xbox to another shop and they opened it up. They took pictures of the motherboard before starting any work. uBreakiFix had damaged my motherboard and there was missing screws that they did not put back on when closing up my Xbox. The new shop I took it to said that they would have to fix the damaged caused by uBreakiFix before they can start any 'real repairs'. So I contacted uBreakiFix customer support and they told me they would look into my work order and evaluate my pictures. This is the email i received "We reviewed these details to determine that although your device had an attempted repair, the device was unable to have it's audio/video issue resolved and left in the same functional condition. We were unable to proceed with your claim due to the device being opened and torn down by a third party service. Due to this occurrence, we can no longer account for any reports of additional damages provided by the company handling the device after leaving our store since they are outside of our network." This shop is a joke....They do not have qualified technicians that know what they are doing. If the tech did not know how to use the tools need to complete a repair then that should have been stated before he attempted to repair an area on my Xbox that was not even the issue to begin with. The best thing this place can be used for is to replace broken screens on cell phones. Also, my Xbox is still not repaired and uBreakiFix will not take any responsibility for the damaged caused by an unskilled technician. read more

I came in to get my charging port inspected on my iPhone XR. I would have to fidget my charging cable to get the phone to charge. The representative told me that my port was perfectly fine, he did a very fast and simple cleaning with compressed air and took some gunk out and that seemed to fix the problem. He did not charge me and did the cleaning in about 5 minutes. Very very nice and helpful employee. Prices are good for the service that they provide. Although it it costly, it gets done quick and efficiently. I came in for an iPhone 6s+ Screen Repair and charger port repair. Upon their inspection of my phone, they told me that they have fixed my charger port by cleaning it. It's nice to know that these people aren't fishing for your money, and it's evident that they want to help you get what you need. I made an appointment to fix my Samsung tablet and arrived to find they are unable to fix these. I was furious! The appointment process is completely bogus!!! They should be screening for what each store can do and let people know where true service can be obtained, instead of wasting time and effort. This is just a software issue but in the meantime, I recommend calling stores first to find those that can help you, and then making your appointment accordingly. Unfortunately, Ubreakifix doesn't make this easy either. read more

Wow, were do I start, I cracked my screen on my Galaxy note 20, I called numerous places and they want nothing but $400 or more. I do not understand the negative reviews on yelp but they may not apply to the Asurion on Lincoln Boulevard, Marina del Rey. The service there was exemplary, and well worth whatever few dollars higher their rates may be for a phone repair, over going to an Apple store and whatever hassle that might involve. Jesus seems to be devoted to being helpful, caring, and honest -- doing his best, and being as creative as necessary, to make things work again. He seems really to feel bad that repairs and parts cost so much and does whatever he can to keep the cost down for the customer. He is reliable, competent, kind, and honest. I managed to squash my i-phone closing the trunk door on it, when it slipped down from the top of my car into the hinges of the trunk door as I closed it. I was there at 6PM. It was fixed by first thing the next morning. Two days later, I discovered that the camera didn't work. He figured out that it was somehow damaged in the crush, tried to repair it and when that didn't work, fitted the phone with a new camera that he found in the back.. Took my phone in to get a replaced screen from a minor cosmetic crack on iPhone. Was told 30 to 45 minutes until it was ready. Came back an hour later and they promptly gave me the phone. Come to find out parts of the touch screen didn't work. They took it back to fix it, and in about 20 minutes they came back. Screen issue was fixed but Face ID didn't work. They take it back again for about an hour and said there's nothing I can do but call to try and get a replacement. First time we came, the representative told us that they didn't have the screen that we need and they were getting a shipment tomorrow. I asked if it's gonna be ok if we return in 3 days and he said that we can come back anytime. When we came back, a different representative told us that now they don't have an adhesive and suggested that we came back again because they were going to get a shipment tomorrow! I had a destroyed screen in January and got it fixed by them. Seven months later, the display starts to malfunction. I take it back and they say I was given a faulty screen that their warranty should cover. The warranty they give lasts only 3 months, so they said they couldn't do anything. I go in today (June 9,2018) and tell him whats wrong and he looks at it, said it might just have dust in it. he takes it in, cleans it out and comes back like 5mins later with a tweezer that had a good amount of dust.
