I LOVE ICE CREAM! I eat it a lot. We just moved here to Grants Pass and read the reviews for Udders. We came with high expectations. We also came looking for extraordinary ice cream. Unfortunately our expectations and the experience wasn't all we thought. The service was fine, the ice cream was just ice cream. There weren't any special flavors, no gelato, no reason to come back. It was expensive which I don't mind paying, but I was very disappointed. The place is clean and friendly, but the product was unremarkable. I'll keep looking. read more

I really want to recommend this ice cream shop...but I just can't. I have been telling retailers ( having been one myself for many years) I can go anywhere and get (insert your product/service here). All retailers have left to control is customer service. You have to make me WANT to come into YOUR store. The people that work there do that. My first experience at Udder's, we were ignored. Two people behind the counter chatting and one customer. We finally walked out. Decided to give them another chance today. I ordered two scoops on a cone. The bottom scoop was melting badly as the scooper handed it to me. Why is this melting?!?! That's a gelato. They melt way faster. Thanks so much for your ice cream expertise I thought as I madly licked my cone so it didn't fall on the floor. Would it have been so hard to engage in some friendly conversation and maybe a recommendation. Now let me say the ice cream was very good. I enjoyed my selection, albeit very quickly!! But do I WANT to go back? Not so much. Friendly helpful staff that compliment their amazing products/service...that's what customers want. Not at Udder's. read more

Very cute and clever place with it's cow based theme (you know, like "Udders". Younger staff, but prompt and decent service. The best part, by far is the varity of absolutely decedent flavors of ice cream and gellato. Too good to be true! This is not just a "place" to go to... i've always loved this place and i've been a customer since their shop opened last year but their staff is generally quite rude and careless to their customers. my last visit i walked in to all the employees masks on but around their chins and not covering their mouths. i do recognize that the staff are seemingly all high schoolers but i have only ever once gone in and had a semi good customer experience. also frustrating that when you redeem your stamp card for a spin you have to redeem the prize right away instead of getting a voucher whatever you won, but that's not too big of a deal. four stars because i know the staff are young but still unacceptable for consistent staff behavior read more

I pulled off the freeway because I saw that there was supposed to be a Dairy Queen and I was craving ice cream (a milkshake). I couldn't find the Dairy Queen (Luckily!) and found Udders instead. What a stroke of luck! I asked the very friendly and helpful young man behind the counter if they made banana milkshakes. We have been to udders a handful of times now. The ice cream is incredible, they always have new flavors to try. Super clean, and the cow decor is adorable! My daughter absolutely loves the chalkboard they have set up, and is always asking for that gummy bear ice cream. Plus they have a stamp card, 10 stamps and you get to spin the prize wheel. This is our new favorite place to go after dinner a few times a week. We are glad to see a locally owned ice cream shop in town! read more
