Love a local Korean joint! Large menu with fun ugly bowls, Korean chicken, ramen, and lots of other sides and apps. I ate the Galbi ugly bowl. The Galbi was cooked very well and a large portion for the price. Rice and cabbage slaw were good but small portions. I ran out of the sides before i had finished the meat. Will have to try the Korean chicken next time!

Came here for a quick dinner. The staff was friendly, the food came out fast and was hot and delicious. Large variety on the menu. The dining area could use some renovations - the KPOP was a little loud, but fun to listen to.

Just came by to try their coconut shrimp! So fresh , delicious, and tasty! I can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu! The service is always amazing and I never wait too long for my food!

Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant was clean with a welcoming environment. Not the most seating space, so I wouldn't recommend a large group/crowd. Even so, a great place to visit with friends! Food tasted authentic and was delicious. I would definitely recommend giving the place a try!

Did several take outs previously and it was time to do sit down experience at the Ugly Rice. I was greeted by 3 employees as I walked in. Very open and uncluttered layout with K-Pop on TV to the left and ordering counter to the right. Had many choices and took awhile to digest their menu. Decided to get the ddeokboki, seafood ramen (jam-bong) and thier bibibop to share. Had bunch of non alcohol drink choices but opted for free filtered water. All of self serve utensils and sauces were located next to the drink cooler. Had ddeokboki come out first. While getting water and utensils, rest of the food came out. Overall, very timely or shall I say fast? Ddeokboki had lots of oden and rice cake. While bit spicy from gochujang sauce with red pepper flakes but sweet. It was too sweet for me. The Jambong ramen at $14.95 was Korean instant ramen with additional seafood toppings and veggies in it. Generous amount. Tasted quite rich but still had that Korean ramen soup taste. Dont get me wrong, it was delicious. The bibibop was loaded with beef and other veggies and topped with pan fried egg. It came with the gochujang sauce and pickled sides. I could have ordered side of kimchee but skipped. * friendly * lots of choices like calamari rings, K chickens, gimpab and even rolls. One thing I didn't like was everything was served on plastic wear. Will be back to try other dishes.

The food was solid and the restaurant was clean. The only thing is it may be a bit high priced IMO for what you get. But it is one of few places seving Korean food, outside of Korean BBQ, so I love them for that!

I have driven by Ugly Rice numerous times as I drive to my sons but I've always been in too big a hurry to stop. Finally, I stopped and it was delicious so I'll definitely plan to stop again. I ordered the fried rice with mixed proteins (including chicken & shrimp) and check out my pic there was a fried egg on top too! I also ordered chicken dumplings and they were delicious too. I was there at an odd time (too late for lunch, too early for dinner) so I was the only one there. They prepared my order quickly and when I arrived home it was still warm and really delicious. I will definitely be stopping again!

New joint in the area raking over an old sandwich shop. The staff was friendly, plenty of seating, and the inside decor was cute. We had ordered a few dish to try out. Had to go for a rice dish given their restaurant name. The beef fried rice was good with some nice crispy pieces. The flavor was a bit missing but with some of the red spicy sauce, it worked out. I had the half/half corn dog to try as well. Skin was crispy and mozzarella cheesy with each bite. The sugar on top was a bit too much, would recommend going a bit lighter in the future. In addition, who would had thought they partnered with Angry Chicken (in Aurora) for their wings? I had requested the salt and vinegar dry rub. Wings came out great and the seasoning well done. Overall, happy to see this restaurant in the neighborhood and will definitely return to try other dishes.

Wonderful authentic bibimbap. Hoping they open one more to the west side of town, but for now, I will make the trek east for the bap!

Great food and service. Can't beat them for fast food. Hidden gem in a small strip center. We will be back!

That's a pretty strong endorsement. Also the interior of the restaurant was fairly modern and clean. For anyone unfamiliar with it, soondae (순대) is a traditional Korean blood sausage made by stuffing pork or beef intestines with a mixture of blood, glass noodles, rice or starch, and seasonings. It's one of Korea's most popular street foods and is typically enjoyed with salt or a dipping sauce. One thing to know before you go: this restaurant specializes in soup-based dishes. Every entrée revolves around soup, including the bulgogi. I had never seen bulgogi served in a broth before, so it was a pleasant surprise for both my boyfriend and me. Most of the soups also included clear glass noodles and came in a wide variety of combinations, so there were plenty of options to choose from. One detail I really appreciated was their takeout packaging. If you have leftovers, they use a professional heat-sealing machine that applies a thin plastic seal over the container before the lid goes on. It's a thoughtful touch that keeps the soup leak-proof and makes transporting leftovers much easier. If you're craving authentic Korean comfort food--especially soondae soup--this place is definitely worth a visit.

Everything is a la carte. On Sundays they were doing buy one get one draft beers and that is about the only thing that is considered a deal $9 for 2 draft beers. We weren't sure if the banchan refill were free as the menu indicated extra sides are more $$. So we didn't get anymore banchan than the ones they brought over. The pajeon was limpy and lack of caramelization... I did not try the corn cheese but I was told it was very sweet... We ordered the combo deals that's a tofu soup with a grilled meat of your choice for about $30-38 a person, depending on the meat of your choice. The meat is tasty, the bulgogi is a little bit on the sweet side... and the tofu soup... it's probably the most saddest, mediocre Korean tofu soup I've ever had, and essentially $20 a pop - definitely not worth it. The broth flavor was good, the soup literally had tofu and the meat of your choice... no veggies, no kimchi, no egg... The employees were nice but they didn't come check in on how the meal was until towards the end... we had asked for more napkins when we sat down and the napkins never showed up. Mandatory 20% tips added to a party of 5+. At least they called out that the price was with tips added. I really hope to like this place more... but looks like I'd need to trek back to Aurora for quality and better pricing.

It was one of the only Asian restaurants in the area still open after our flight landed. As expected, the customers were sparse save for 2-3 tables of diners. The interior was immediately green flags - l loved the decor and wood tones. It felt like I was in Korea! The menu is your typical pocha fare - soups, Korean pancakes, army stew, KBBQ meats. We ordered the jalapeño soy chicken wings, volcano pork, and the kimchi fried rice. My favorite was the chicken wings, really crunchy with good flavor and the wings were decently sized. The volcano pork came over a fire burner and cooked at our table. It was definitely pretty spicy but paired really well with the kimchi fried rice, which I thought could be spicier. The pork quality was ok but I really liked the flavors and the bean sprouts in the pot. I particularly love that K Pocha has zero sugar soju on the menu no sugar = no hangovers!) I always drink the brand with the fox on it and squeeze a bit of lemon into the shot. We were served by the owner and the service was efficient. He didn't seem to speak the best English so we had to have one of our friends translate when we asked questions, but he was really nice and welcoming. K Pocha seems to be pretty new, so I will hopefully be back soon to support his business! I definitely want to try the army stew and the tofu soups.
