While the tortillas were fresh, they lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. They seemed light on either salt or fat, perhaps intentionally for a healthier approach, but the result was a tortilla that tasted muted. There was also a slight grittiness to the texture. I'm used to flour tortillas with a rich, savory flavor that are satisfying enough to enjoy on their own. We ordered several burritos, and while they were certainly good, they never crossed into memorable. Like the tortillas themselves, the fillings could have benefited from a bit more richness and seasoning to create a more satisfying bite. One small disappointment was the beverage selection. I would have appreciated the option of ordering a smaller drink. My jamaica was refreshing but considerably sweeter than I prefer. Then again, perhaps the old saying is true--everything really is bigger in Texas. I ordered the quesabirria tacos (4 birria tacos with cheese, 2 sides) and the arrachera tacos (4 grilled steak tacos, 2 sides). For the sides I ordered two fries, once loaded potato and beans. The fries were home fried, they were pretty plain but I could see why people would like them. The potato was stuffed with butter, cheese and bacon and the beans were really good. Not super flavorful beans but they did have a good flavor and they were fresh tasting, not old like you get at some places around here. Now the tacos, the quesabirria ones would have been sooo good, would have been but the sauce was crazy salty. Like leave your mouth sore from the salt, salty. I would he embarrassed to serve that to people honestly, much less charge for them. The flavor was good, the meat was tender the tortillas had the perfect thickness and the cheese pull was awesome. If it wasn't for how salty they were I may have thrown in the 5th star. The arrachera tacos were cooked perfectly; the steak was flavorful and tender. Some places make their steak very dry but these were very good. The two salsas that were served which each taco meals were very good. The dark red one burned the crap out of my lips, my husband absolutely loved it. The other salsa (chunkier) was very flavorful and maybe one of the best salsas at a taco place in El Paso. The tortillas here are so good and the meat is cooked well, I just wish they'd taste their food and learn not to over salt their birria. While the service was a bit slow because of missing each other, the service was still very good. The woman helping was super sweet and very helpful. The restaurant is clean and decorated okay. Nothing special but welcoming. I would recommend the tacos just be careful with the birria. I could eat 1.5 tacos before the salt was just too much. Luckily I have teen boys who each everything.

My wife and I both tried the carne asada tacos on corn tortillas. You have the option of corn or flour tortillas. We got our tacos fully loaded (onion cilantro, pickled onion). Let me start by say that these tacos were everything we had hoped for since traveling from Socorro to this little spot in Central El Paso. Tender juicy meat packed with flavor, warm tortillas, great sauces to compliment the taco (we preferred the green sauce but be careful for the habanero. It's diabolically spicy). The order of four will leave you full but not stuffed. Be sure to try their taco dulce. A flour tortilla with cheese and membrillo. Not a combination I would have ever thought of trying but it hits good. Very sweet and honey like. Service was impeccable as the people there were warm and inviting. I'm telling everyone about this place and we can't wait to go back very soon.
