Great spot for apres ski! Came during perfect weather on st pattys day! They had green beer which I was looking for and hoping to find on my ski trip. The line was sort of long but went back quick. You order the food and drinks at the bar, sit yourself , and they give you buzzer to let you know when the food is ready. Nothing sounds better than an ice cold beer after pancaking on the slopes multiples times in a row. This spot was definitely my go to after the slopes kicked my butt. The Umbrella bar is literally shaped like an UMBRELLA. The bar is in the center and tables circle around, from what I remember there's small heaters above. Its not exactly a building so its not as warm, but thats what makes it fun! They have great beer available, one in particular I enjoyed was a purple can with an artichoke on it..? So good!! The bartenders and staff were very nice and cheerful, especially on Christmas day. Have you seen the old show 'Cheers'? That's pretty much the vibe here. As for the food, I did noticed the chicken tenders were order pretty often. Personally, I did not order any food, strictly beer fuel! But for sure will next trip! read more

This spot right near the base of the slopes at the Canyons is as good as it gets when it comes to apres-ski. The large patio with tons of tables warmed by propane heaters and a big fire pit is incredible when the sun is out, warming it up to the point where boots and coats aren't needed. The drink selection is not massive and Utah's weird laws mean nothing on tap is over 4%, but the local beer is fantastic after a tough day skiing. It gets a tad busy after the lifts close, but clears out quickly. So getting a seat isn't a problem. read more

They have new beer filling machines that fill the draft beers from the bottom up is very cool. Staff is very friendly and service is excellent. Umbrella top canvas of bar opens up on sunny days and closes on chilly days. Glass windows surround the Umbrella bar and there is a large area outside that has games to play such as Foosball and a large fire pit with benches around it. Came here twice. First time while eating lunch my friends and I saw two people slip and fall. The second time again at lunch I slipped and fell. The deck material is extremely slippery, the staff has apparently notified management but NOTHING is being done. They seem as frustrated as me. The tables are metal with sharp corners and one day someone will get seriously hurt. I'm going to speculate that management has never worn ski boots, and doesn't care about this issue until they get sued, which is bound to happen at this rate. My advice is to stay away in the winter if you're wearing ski boots. read more

Food was ok. Service was quick. My daughter had a cheeseburger. I had the philly cheese steak sandwich. Two sodas. $30 We were starving so we ate it. Both sandwiches looked and tasted like they were made in a microwave. The burger bun was cold. I guess I should not have expected much considering the food is made in a tiny little shack. Everyone at the bar seemed to be enjoying their drinks! It was definitely a popular spot for a beer. I would give it 2.5 stars if I could but don't think the food is worthy of three and I can't comment on the alcohol because I didn't order any. read more

I would love to be able to say that this place deserves one star because the food was subpar. That was unfortunately not the case. We ordered our food at noon. At 12:18, we started wondering where our food was. This is a food pickup restaurant at the base of a major ski resort, surely they would cater to skiers/boarders looking to grab a quick bite and get back on the slopes. At 12:30, we reached our limit. People all around us were cancelling their order because they had to leave. We went to the window to check on the status of our food and were told that our order was next. It had taken forever and the chef seemed disinterested, but fine, we were hungry and we just wanted to eat and get back on the slopes. At 12:46, it became comical. We went back to the window and asked where our "next up" order was. They said it's coming up. We were sick of vague responses and asked exactly what the holdup was. And the answer was "we're out of chicken tenders", which was what we ordered. When we asked when they would arrive, they said they don't know where to get more. At which point we cancelled our order. When they said "your order is next", were they planning to go find a chicken and kill it, skin it, bread it, and fry it? What was the endgame? How would they deliver our order? Is Bigfoot real? All of these are questions that need answers and we'll likely get the last one first. To those of you ordering food here. I wish you luck. But maybe bring your own chicken for them. read more

Not a lot of apres ski options at The Canyons, but this one serves good beer and often overlooks a live band for entertainment. There's a nice big firepit to enjoy your child beverage outside or a glassed in bar area when it's chilly. When is a nice day, it all opens up to the outdoors. read more

Really an OK grill restaurant at the base of Canyons Village. Foods offered here are things like burgers, brots, chicken fingers, wings, and your side of onion rings or fries. They are good burgers, but I would not pay 10-12 dollars for them (like most things at the resort). The burgers are prepared with that big fancy bread, iceburg lettuce, and regular grade vegetables. Personally it is not my style of burger, as I would rather have In n' Out or my dad's burgers. But what about its atmosphere? Well, I'm a big fan of the atmosphere, it's got a little gazebo where you can order food and the food comes right out of the trailer. Their patio is huge and just the right distance from the stage (where live bands play all the time) so that you can hear the music and still hold a conversation. I was drawn to this place because of the awesome location and outdoor seating area, the prices are also much lower than lodges on the mountain. With that being said, the service was bad, stood at the bar with my kids to order food and was completely ignored by the female waitress as she tended to the needs of everyone around me. I ordered a hot dog, fries and chicken wings. The only thing we ended up eating were the fries, hot dog and wings were gross. Perhaps this is a better spot for a drink after skiing.
