    Green beer st patty's day
    Rebecca A.

Great spot for apres ski! Came during perfect weather on st pattys day! They had green beer which I was looking for and hoping to find on my ski trip. The line was sort of long but went back quick. You order the food and drinks at the bar, sit yourself , and they give you buzzer to let you know when the food is ready. Not the place if you want table service but definitely a cool spot!

Winter ale and fries for apre ski

A great place for apres ski. My boy and I hang out after a great day of skiing. We had fries, Mac and chess to accompany the wonderful Winter ale. And guess what, after the refreshment, we went back up for a final run! It was a great place to hang.

Food was hot, beer was cold. Neat place to sit around and people watch. Considering other places reasonably priced.

Nothing sounds better than an ice cold beer after pancaking on the slopes multiples times in a row. This spot was definitely my go to after the slopes kicked my butt. The Umbrella bar is literally shaped like an UMBRELLA. The bar is in the center and tables circle around, from what I remember there's small heaters above. Its not exactly a building so its not as warm, but thats what makes it fun! They have great beer available, one in particular I enjoyed was a purple can with an artichoke on it..? So good!! The bartenders and staff were very nice and cheerful, especially on Christmas day. Have you seen the old show 'Cheers'? That's pretty much the vibe here. As for the food, I did noticed the chicken tenders were order pretty often. Personally, I did not order any food, strictly beer fuel! But for sure will next trip!

We waited fully 40 minutes for any food to be produced with less than 10 of the tables occupied - would hate to see the place at the lunchtime rush! Staff couldn't have been less bothered - claiming they had to 'restock' after the lunchtime rush and that lots of people had ordered chicken tenders! Quick to suggest asking for a refund - suggesting that this isn't an unusual situation. Plenty of other choices in the canyons- suggest you try them before going to umbrella bar...

This is a convenient spot but it's obviously a little different during Covid. I ordered the chicken tenders and they were ready in 5 minutes. Above average chicken down yonder. In honor of the Orange Bubble Express, I also ordered an Orange Gatorade.

This spot right near the base of the slopes at the Canyons is as good as it gets when it comes to apres-ski. The large patio with tons of tables warmed by propane heaters and a big fire pit is incredible when the sun is out, warming it up to the point where boots and coats aren't needed. The drink selection is not massive and Utah's weird laws mean nothing on tap is over 4%, but the local beer is fantastic after a tough day skiing. It gets a tad busy after the lifts close, but clears out quickly. So getting a seat isn't a problem.

The size of this hot dog!!

A simple burger and juicy hot dog in Canyon village. Great price and this location. You have to order inside from the bartender who's very knowledgeable on craft beers. Once order is completed, he will hand you a pager. The buzz will go off around 10 minutes after then you have to go outside to pick up your order. The hot dog is so big that I had to skip the bun. Highly recommend if you look for a good meal that won't break the bank.

Beer and geometry! Snow found outside

Jee wiz, can't believe I spent 24 years drinking anywhere but here. What a crew, what a beer selection, what a geometric/maybe circular environment to aprés yourself away into bliss and forget how god awful your rental boots feel. Tickets to Awesome Town sold here and nowhere else

Beer dispensing system at Umbrella bar fills the cup of beer from the bottom of the cup. There is a magnet at bottom of the cup.

Could be the best double cheeseburger I have ever tasted. Fresh food made to order. The french fries were very good too. They have new beer filling machines that fill the draft beers from the bottom up is very cool. Staff is very friendly and service is excellent. Umbrella top canvas of bar opens up on sunny days and closes on chilly days. Glass windows surround the Umbrella bar and there is a large area outside that has games to play such as Foosball and a large fire pit with benches around it. It is a very fun place to spend an afternoon.

Food was decent enough but waiting almost an hour and a half for food in a half empty restaurant is not acceptable. Will not be returning.

The outdoor patio was busy so we ended up just getting a table inside. The ambiance is laid back and rustic, cool decorations all over. Our server was nice and made us feel welcome. We got the pretzel to start with - honestly really good. i don't usually write home about a pretzel, but it was so doughy and the sauces were delicious. I got the spicy avocado burger with their homemade chips. All delish. Will definitely be back next time we're in town!

This wasn't a great experience for me…read more The first thing that struck me was the ID check at the door. I pulled up my Colorado digital ID, and the employee seemed completely thrown by it and insisted on seeing my physical license. I understand businesses have policies, but the interaction felt unnecessarily awkward. I'm in my mid-40s, don't even drink alcohol, and still felt like I was being treated as if I were trying to sneak into a bar. It just set an odd tone from the start. I didn't choose the restaurant, but as someone with celiac disease, this was an even bigger issue. I let the staff know up front that I have celiac disease and need to avoid gluten. I ordered a bunless burger and skipped the fries since they don't have a dedicated fryer. I ordered a side salad instead, only to find out almost all of the dressings contained gluten, so I went with the vinaigrette. The burger itself was overcooked and honestly pretty underwhelming. The worst part came at the end of my meal. I took a bite of my salad and felt a crunch. There was a crouton mixed in. I had to spit it into my napkin in front of my coworkers, but by then I'd already chewed it and had crumbs throughout my mouth. For someone with celiac disease, this isn't just an inconvenience. If I'd never mentioned it, that would be one thing. But after telling the staff up front, there should never have been a crouton on that salad. That's beyond normal cross contamination. It was simply careless, and unfortunately it overshadowed the entire experience.

Had a variety of wait staff wait on us so was not sure who our main person was to request anything. Served very warm tepid water in our water glasses and had to ask for ice for the water multiple times before receiving. Room was unseasonably warm, but I know the weather was 10° above normal. Consideration as to opening a window for a cross breeze would've been nice. Cocktails were good and served in a timely manner. Food arrived at our table within five minutes of ordering, which made us feel like they were trying to hurry us through dinner. Food was good, but not great. Nobody came to refill water, check on us to see if we needed anything else and had to walk to the bar to get our check. Again, staff was very courteous, just not present. If I were a report card, I would give this place a "C".

Smooth, perfectly balanced, and not one of those knock-you-over-the-head strong drinks. Dangerous in the best way because you could easily have another... and another. The vibe? Super casual, laid-back, and no pretentious bourbon snobs in sight. Just good drinks and a place you actually want to hang out. And then... the little store inside. Game over. We walked out with a bottle like we had just discovered gold, because apparently, this liquid treasure does NOT exist in our city. 5/5, would absolutely come back and pretend I know way more about bourbon than I actually do.

However, just a note: if you're in Utah, expect the espresso martinis to have Bailey's in them, so they're all on the sweeter side.
