Most of the time, you can tell how good a bubble tea place is if you count the number of crane machines they have. This place has no crane machines but it is good! This place was packed. The amount of people here amazed. Normally, a bubble tea place in the bay area can only stay popular for a few months and then they are done, Ume tea has been here for a long time and is still one of the busiest. I love UME Tea! They have so many locations so it's pretty easy to get to whenever you have a hankering for a tasty snack. Every location is so well decorated and super fun. It's tough to have a bad day when you walk in because everything is so cheerful. The employees are always really nice and they work quickly to get the food and drinks done. I like to order the fried tofu and the coco mango Jasmine Bloom. Honestly, these are the only two things that I have tried here and they are my favorite! They also happen to be vegan friendly. Another great thing about Ume tea is that they have a great rewards program. If you are a regular, you can be rewarded with free drinks and snacks with the points you earn. Lastly, as a plushy collector, you can order drinks that come in these surprise cups that have hidden plushy's inside of them. They are blind cups, so each order is a surprise. I had tried Ume when this location first opened a few years ago. Back then, my experience wasn't great, but they've really improved their drink and pearl quality since then. I ordered the Sunset Rosé Latte which was really good. Tea was a still fragrant, the pearls were a good consistency and not too sweet. Ume Tea has always been my good to spot since its nearby and I can walk to the area. However, today, we ordered two medium premium boba oolong milk teas and were disappointed. As we headed out, drinks in hand, my husband sucked up something tough thinking it was a hard boba, he spit it out on the sidewalk. To our surprise, it was a cut up boba straw. Gross!! One of the few places in Fremont that opens rather late, which is good if you are looking to get a late boba fix. The interior and decor inside is very cute and pink overall (coming from someone who loves the color Pink). There's a couple of tables and bar seating for you to relax and enjoy your drinks insides My friends and I all ordered the Lychee and Watermelon Green Tea. I have been to other Ume Tea locations but have not been to this location. You think of Ume Tea and you think cute...this place is no exception. Its in a shopping/restaurant complex so there is plenty of parking around. I went when it wasn't too busy, I placed my order in a kiosk and I was able to pick up my drink quickly. I almost always get the same thing....fruit tea with boba and lychee. My drink tasted good. There is a small section for indoor seating and I do mean small. If it gets busy, or during the summer time, good luck in finding seating. Employees were great. I am glad that there are multiple Ume Teas in the Bay Area. read more

Parking can get crowded and hard to find during lunch rushes since theres a buffet next door but theres another plaza diagonally across you can park and walk over! This isn't the closest or easiest Ume location for me to get to, but I went today after going a few years ago and it seems to have changed since then - neither bad nor good. I got the premium oolong brown sugar milk tea drink without boba and no sugar. For a premium drink, I was a bit disappointed because I couldn't taste much brown sugar flavor; it just tasted like regular milk tea. It had a strong flavor which may have been my fault since I didn't get sugar, oh well. I did find that I could still drink it, however; as I am starting to get more used to drinking milk teas and beverages without sugar. The drinks at most Ume's seem to be hit or miss though, as well as their surprise plushies. I was also disappointed that this location doesn't have a bathroom open to customers. Please provide restroom access for paying customers. Thank you. I think I will stick to my preferred Ume location for the time being.
