This was a really good Sushi place! Food: The sushi was fresh, quickly made and tasted fantastic. It melted in my mouth and didn't feel stale at all. Ambience: This restaurant definitely has good ambience. There is a bar area but I sat at the table and there are a lot of small little quirks here and there that adds to the ambience Service: Exceptional service. The waiter was super nice and really helpful in helping me figure out what I wanted to order. I did go for the all you can eat sushi and I feel like I did justice
Took my son here for lunch to celebrate his basic training graduation. We enjoyed the all you can eat lunch without the buffet. There was a variety of sushi rolls in addition to hot menu items. We absolutely loved it! There is an à la carte charge if food is wasted, which is understandable. We did not have that problem, lol. The service was good. Our server kept a good pace.
Tried a new spot with a friend. (Photos include all food that came to the table) The atmosphere was very energetic and fast paced. The inside was beautiful but the seatings felt a tad crowded and around dinner time it can get a little loud. The food was really good. I really loved their miso soup. Their rolls were really good as well. I think the mango one was my favorite and seaweed salad was yummy. Usually I'm not a fan of seaweed salad but the flavors weren't overpowering or soggy. They have a lot of options but if you're gluten free it is very limited here.. The only thing that was a little concerning was the lack of knowledge for gluten free items. The waiter had to go back and forth to ask someone which I really appreciated but it would be nice if they were a bit informed to avoid food reactions for people who have an intolerance /allergy. Aside from that I think it's a great place to try.
Umiya is the perfect place to eat when you are craving a lot of sushi, the variety of rolls is so impressive and the restaurant is so beautifully decorated. We had phenomenal service and enjoyed the experience very much. You will love the California Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll, the miso soup and the ice cream toward the end. I included the menu as pictures so you can see all the sushi galore you can order. This is a great place to go for a date or with friends or with Family, maybe even a business meeting as well. I was so happy to be invited to go and I had a great time, the fun part for everyone is it is a fixed price for unlimited sushi, so that's the experience that's unique. You would need to go hungry of course to indulge your sushi tooth. Take your friends! Take your Family! Take your Beloved! You will be pleasantly surprised :)
Recently I came here with a friend to try something new. We came here around 6pm on a Friday night and it definitely did get crowded pretty quickly. Thankfully we were able to get seats since it was only two of us. The place itself had alot of seats and i did like to atmosphere and the look. Even though there were alot of people it wasn't loud and can hear eachother talk. We did have a small table next to this purple ish light (sorry for the photos the lamp didn't really help but the food was pretty). The waitress was very friendly and helpful. My friend who has a glutten allergy had alot of questions but the waitress was patient and made sure to offer her good options. I ordered a 'mango delight roll' which had snowcrab, mango which didn't sound good at first. However, after I tried it turned out to be delicious. It wasn't overpowering with fish or sweetness but the mango was light and complimented the roll well. Definitely worth a try. I also ordered a sushi pizza which was also good. Although I see it more as sushi nachos as the ingredients were on a chip, it was good overall. My friend ordered a shaggy roll which was also good. Since it had shrimp tempura she asked if she can substitute it with another meat like crap or shrimp not fried and the waitress was able to accommodate that which was even better. We did have a few appetizers as well. Usually I dont really like mussels but was suggested to try their popular item the New Zealand Mussels. It was actually really good. Loved the seasoning and sauces they used and looked very pretty. Their seaweed salad is also worth trying if you get the chance. Overall it was a great experience and enjoyed my time here. I definitely recommend any sushi lover to come try this place. Be aware this is a buffet so make sure to confirm the price (lunch and dinner are different) and also don't order too much. If you dont eat it all or leave a lot of food you could be charged extra so pace yourself.
Umiya is consistently good. My daughter over their seaweed salad. Good variety of sushi, sashimi and appetizer meals option. Definitely a good value for all you can eat. They have a free desert with ice cream for my daughter's birthday.
Umiya Sushi is a good spot for the lunch buffet, especially when dining with a group. There's a good variety of sushi and other Japanese dishes, so everyone can find something they like. Dishes come out fast and are very well displayed. The service is friendly and attentive, and the staff does a nice job keeping things moving without rushing you. The ambiance is casual and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy a meal together.
Always skeptical of all you can eat but this place BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER!!!!!! Sushi is fresh and not skimped on w toppings and sauces. The portions were great! Everything came out so fast and warm if it was supposed to be! Our server Vania was 10/10! So kind with our big group. LOVE that you order with a person and not a piece of paper. Absolutely would recommend. The price for dinner is like $30 per person but it was sooooo worth it. Note only took a few photos bc I was EATING
We've been here a number of times, but always have a positive experience. The staff was really friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as always the salmon Nigiri was probably the best, definitely we'll be coming back. We've had a five out of five experience every time. They even made our sins a cool personalized scoop of ice cream
AYCE Totally worth it. They bring the food to you. It's not a buffet. I appreciate that greatly. I don't like others touching my food. The servers are so friendly, and helpful. They take their time & answer questions about the food & drinks. They'll also take the time to help you open the bottles if needed. #iykyk Try the strawberry soda. I think my two favorite rolls are the Lexington & the Harbor Rolls. The Lexington is a warm sushi roll, while the Harbor Roll is not,but it is loaded! I can promise you will need a nap after eating here. I have not had a single bad roll yet. I have come two weekends in a row now. Absolutely wonderful staff & exceptional food. I'll continue to come back. They're expanding here in town, & in 2026 they'll be opening one off of 151. Now, to get them to being one to Brooks City Base area.
If you ever want to experience the cuisine on a Caribbean cruise, but are concerned about getting seasick, then I have just the place for you, Umiya Sushi Seafood! Umiya is a one price "all you can eat" restaurant with a wide selection of menu options to choose from including various appetizers, Hibachi, Teriyaki, Tempura, Sashimi, Sushi rolls and a few desserts to complete the meal. I compare the experience to a cruise ship as the taste is similar to what you will find when feeding the masses. Good, not great, but I was not expecting much more, so no huge surprise. It's a good place to try a variety of different foods without worrying about an out of control bill at the end of the night. The service is outstanding and the waitstaff are literally power walking from the table to table. Even though the food is prepared freshly, it comes to you fairly quickly which means they can turnover customers at a fast pace. Besides for the entryway and the giant Hello Kitty near the front door, the decor is geared towards families and birthday parties. Because of the fast pace of the workers, you do feel a bit rushed to eat and move on even though you are not pressured from staff to do so.
Service was good and efficient. The place was cool and clean and fun. All food ordered which was numerous times came in a timely manner. And came hot when needed. I came for dinner with family. So much to choose from on their menu. Definitely can't wait to come back especially for the tempura shrimp. Start with 2 orders is my tip! Haha
My son is here on leave from GA and Sushi is something he wanted to try and I've been wanting to try this place for a while just haven't came until today. There were so many options, more than a couple of other places we have tried. The waiter we had was so friendly also. So they do have happy hour and diff days of the wk there are diff specials. Will def come back again. This was just my goodies didn't get pics of my sons and bfs but they enjoyed their rolls

We ordered takeout, and the food was great! I ordered the rainbow roll and thought it was absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS. The crab puffs/crab rangoons were also very good, as well as the spicy edamame. I would recommend their miso soup, you get a good portion for a great price! However, I would skip the tuna tataki. The tuna was tough and not worth the price. read more

First time here and expected it to be like a buffet where it's self serving but it's not. Literally enjoyed it. I arrived early and within minutes the parking got busy. Got seated right away. Inside was nice, floating fish lantern near the lights. Waitress was nice and attentive. I did the AYCE (all you can eat lunch Special) 21.95 per adults and 10 ish for children. Definitely will come back to try other sushi. read more

Thanksgiving trip to San Antonio, Texas! Wouldn't miss an opportunity of having sushi anywhere in the world ;) The restaurant was quite fancy and happening. Light music and Japanese art were totally giving the feels! Went in for A.Y.C.E menu. They had so many flavourful options, one of them was mango sushi and it tasted delicious. Can't even begin to tell you guys everything that we ordered and tried was amazing, every dish tasted different. Sauces were great especially the eel sauce. I dint know it was eel sauce at first and when I heard I felt weird but got used to it ;) it does have a very tangy taste! It's definitely different from the sushi that we had in Vegas. TBH I like our Vegas sushi more ;) but the dessert options in San Antonio were so much better from Vegas! They had a variety of fried desserts: fried Oreo, fried cheesecake, fried banana and I loved their green tea ice-cream!!!! The sashimi was pretty good which is what I usually get in a ayce sushi place. I also tried the tsunami roll and the spicy crunch roll which I didn't get to take a picture of but I liked the tsunami roll better than the spicy crunch roll. I also got the snow crab hand roll but it was just imitation crab, so I wouldn't recommend that. The hibachi steak was kind of tough but tasted pretty good. The salmon mango and pepper tuna was not what I expected but was surprisingly good! The service was super quick and we were seated immediately on a Wednesday night. The inside was kind of dim but had a lot of seating. Overall I would recommend their ayce! read more

I was alone so it was suggested that I sit at the bar. I was then served by the most bored bartender in Texas. As a side note, I'm sure it's possible to be hygienic with super long fingernails, as the Aubry Plaza acting bartender had, but I imagine it makes the procedure a little more complicated. We went in around 6:00pm no reservation, we were seated quickly because we were done with sitting outside they also have open seating at the bar. The restaurant was very clean and festive for Halloween. Our waiter was so friendly and very attentive. Drinks came out pretty quick, food followed especially if you are getting sushi very quick. I loved my food and drinks so did my husband. I highly recommend this place. You don't have to stick to just the all you can eat you can also order a la carte which shows prices for each roll or dish. Enjoy! read more

I've come here over 5 times for AYCE, and each time it's amazing! My family loves coming for birthdays. Last time we had 7 of us doing AYCE, so you can see we ordered a lot of sashimi. The quality is great. Much better than grocery store sushi. The rolls are huge, so we try to order only a few of those. Lexington and the Lobster rolls are our favorite. Some of our favorite sides are BAKED MUSSELS, squid salad, hibachi steak bites and shumai. We order so many rounds of each! Last time our service was so great for a big group! Our orders were put in quickly and they came out super fast. I recommend calling in for a big group reservation. They can have a wait. Dinner prices are around $35 per person. Even during lunch, we ask for the dinner AYCE so we can get sashimi and mussels. Another great thing about this restaurant is the amount of tvs playing sports! And there's a full bar with different cocktails and shots. It's been a great place to come on game day. read more

This place was AMAZING! I didn't know what to expect because we were meeting for a friends birthday It's beautifully decorated as you walk in, albeit a LITTLE dark. We did the all you can eat which was a great choice because we could try a little of everything - or so we thought. We only got down 2 1/2 rolls each but tried each others - so you can try many different ones to see which is your favorite. I recommend the harbor bridge roll- it's the best I've had ! Our waiter was Sam, he was excellent and SO nice ! He even made my friends banana tempura extra special with the happy birthday plate and candle ! (You must get the banana tempura !- it's lightly fried and goes so well with the ice cream ). Overall it was fantastic and we will be coming back. read more

Umiya always hits the spot! The all you can eat is the best way to go! I truly think it is work it especially with the increase in sushi now a days. I feel like I always get my moneys worth. Pairing it with a cold Asahi! It's also a large space and ample parking so I never have had to wait to be seated. I've put off this review for 3 visits now. These photos are from my very last visit to Umiya. Food wise, this place has only gotten better with each visit. Wonderful rolls with wild flavors, interesting and unique textures. My fiancé and I have no issues with the food service, it's extremely fast and always the right temperature. The restaurant is beautiful inside, very pretty decor! Here's my issue: customer service. Every time we have gone, there is some odd issue with one of the wait staff. The first visit was a young guy my age (mid 20's) who said the kitchen cook didn't like him which is why our food wasn't good, and would talk to us for upwards of 20 minutes about the issue every visit. Our 2nd visit was fine, waitress was fast and came around to take orders often. 3rd visit, just rude. Came up to our table and asked "what do you want" multiple times, never refilled drinks, barely let us finish talking, let alone eat. Every time my fiancé and I were in the middle of eating she'd come around and just stand at our table end and wait. We also got sat in a room where our table was the only one our waitress came to, and we're unsure why we got sat there. Empty restaurant and got sat next to a large group of rowdy men. We are thinking this was our last visit to the restaurant physically. If you're thinking of eating here, just get it to go. read more
Great price. AYCE $30 for adults. Robust menu. Full menu too, apps, hibachi, dessert and many many rolls and Sashimi A great atmosphere full bar. We frequent here quite a bit. It does make the Harley ride home a bit tough tho!!! read more

Love love love! I only come here during "lunch hours" for the way more affordable price. You can sit at the bar or a table for the same unlimited service. Sushi is made fresh and served on such cute plates! Appetizers came in small servings (2-3 pieces) which was perfect so we can eat a lot of different things. The rolls were all so good! Highly recommend anything containing their spicy tuna. Wasn't that big of a fan of the cone, but everything else was fabulous! 10/10 recommend! Come hungry. Service is incredibly fast, and the girl who took our order at the bar was so nice. read more

I went here and was very impressed. The service was great, the food came out quickly, atmosphere is nice even though this location is off of a busy highway. I ordered the Kani Salad, amazing for the price point. Also enjoyed all the sushi and spicy garlic edamame was great! Will be back. read more
There is a great selection of menu items on their "all you can eat" sushi menu. One thing that they do best is the spicy Kani salad. It is fresh and delicious. I really like their sushi pizza too. The spicy tuna on the crisp chip is delicious with the sauce that they put on top. Jeanie did a great job as our server and at the end of the meal, she told me it was her first day and I was shocked! Pros: The decor was modern and the server was attentive. They have cocktails, though I did not try any. Dessert is included on the all-you-can-eat menu. Cons: Out of the 20 speciality rolls on the menu, only 5 did not contain a tempura fried component. Most rolls come with 8 pieces so this limits your ability to try several things before you get full (and they charge for leftovers). There was a funny smell in the air. Overall, my experience was okay, but I would still return. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the AYCE sushi during lunch for $19.95/person. We ordered a couple of appetizers and multiple rounds of nigiri. Usually, there's a cap on how much nigiri you can get, but here? The cap was 20 pieces, per person...per round! Their rice to fish ratio was literally crazy, the rice was just a small bit while the fish slice was a decent size! However, the service was slow to the point where we thought our waitress just disappeared. Used to be my favorite sushi spot, and now I'm just grossed out by it. Ordered a green tea Ice Cream and the spoon came with someone else's (A STRANGER'S) leftover seaweed. Mentioned it to the waiter and she was like "OH. That's from our miso soup. Let me get you a fresh one." Trying to shrug it off.
