I've been going here for years . Today we went in for breakfast. My friend was holding a half drank Dunkin' Donuts. We sat down the bus boy / waiter walked over with the menu and waters and was immediately ordered to turn back around by the manager . When we waved for service , 1 of the waiters came over and said they're not gonna serve us because we brought an outside drink. My friend ok. Then I just won't drink it in here. But they refused to serve us. Uncle Bills can go f*ck yourselves . Even though the establishment has the right to refuse service to any patrons . This kind of business practices will hurt them more then do any good . I will not be going back there ever again read more

I visited Uncle Bill's Diner several times. The restaurant is very clean and the food is amazing! The diner has a variety of food options to choose from and the service is phenomenal. My father in law loves this place because of its location. Every year on the holidays we have to come here at least once lol. Food is standard dinner cuisine not bad but not great either. Service can get pretty slow over here though. The soup is probably the best item on the menu here. read more

This diner is open 24 hours and located right off the Van Wyck on Linden in Flushing. Those are the positives. Food quality is mediocre at best. I've eaten here about 8 times as it is a close spot to the school whete I work and my collegues like it because its close and you can get in and out pretty quick. The service is adequate. The menu options are satisfactory. The prices are a bit on the high side for a diner. Portion size os acceptable, you wont need a take-out container for any leftovers. read more

My family & i always tend to go to this dinner every Sunday after church , they love it & the food is good for breakfast. How ever there is one server who i always see her every time i go, she seems mad at the world. She doesn't smile and seems to get frustrated every time she takes our order. I was waiting for a friend's extremely delayed flight to arrive at LGA and I needed dinner. Tucked in among the numerous fast food, pizza, delis and moo-shoo kitty Chinese establishments that saturate Flushing Queens, I found Uncle Bill's. Looked clean and bright being a diner, I knew I could find some low/no carb menu options. I ordered a Chef Salad and it was fantastic! Plentiful meats and cheeses, fresh veggies and they don't try to assault you with an over abundance of iceberg lettuce. I had a blue cheese dressing served on the side which was okay. Standard packaged dressing but adequate. A bit pricey for a chef salad at $15 but indeed worth it. Five mins from LGA and service is quick. read more

The food is great and the waiters are kind. The waiters will get whatever you need (napkins, Splenda, water, etc.). You get your menus immediately and the wait for your food to arrive is short. Although it is a very good diner, it gets very crowded because of how small it is. I still really enjoyed my food there and I will definitely go back there soon. read more

I love this diner. They serve a breakfast that rocks and not expensive at all. The complete dinner is totally worth it. You won't find a better deal with an app, main course, dessert w/coffee or tea for the price. The staff here has always been wonderful. Terrible place and terrible service. I let them know my muffin was stale and they became extremely defensive, even getting to the point of telling me to get out of their restaurant. Considering they have temporarily closed some times and my experience today, I can understand why and probably will close in the near future again. Anyway, Department of Health will be going there to do a quality inspection yet again. My word of advice, go to a place where they treat you like a human being and respect, not Uncle Bills Diner. I went here a few days ago at around 1 am for a late meal with friends. I ordered a fruit salad with a tuna wrap and the strawberries had mold covering them. Before I noticed this though, I took a bite from a cantaloupe and had to spit it out because it tasted old and sour. How hard is it for the kitchen staff and waiter to spot moldy old fruit and not serve it to costumers? Other than that the tuna wrap gave me a stomach ache, and my boyfriend who ordered a burger noticed how soggy his pickle was and how stale the fries were. The staff here is friendly and I've been coming here for a few years, but the last three time I came the food's quality has been going downhill. This time I came with friends and nothing was very good. The rolls were cold and almost frozen in the center, the spinach pie's phillo dough was soggy and chewy and the eggplant parm actually had freezer burn. This place used to be good, but it seems they've gone to almost completely frozen food and don't even store or heat any of it up properly. Go there any day for breakfast and you will find people lined up literally waiting to get a booth or table. Don't worry though. The line moves quick. The staff is awesome! This place left a very good first impression. Even though the diner is small, the food here is amazing. First time I came here I had the pizza burger deluxe and it was mouth watering! Then I came here a second time and had the Philly cheesesteak combo. I also had the same waiter and he remembered me! I'm hooked to this place! Fast, quick & swift.... That's the service we gets today! Not sure whether is a good thing or not. Good is because me and hubby were somewhat in a rush too so we did not do the standard 1 1/2 hour dine in time. We were promptly seated once we open the door by the server. Coffee came and thank goodness he came back in 5 minutes not 1 minute for our orders. I come here quite often for breakfast, driving 5 miles to get there. I have many diners near where I live but this is a breakfast favorite. The breakfast deals are amazing and they make it to your precise order and you don't have to deal with the "wha?" and "repeat that, please" from the workers. Service (for breakfast) is amazingly fast and I was always greeted within seconds of entering the door. My wife sent me here today on Mother's Day (after opening the box to a new Coach bag) to pick up the "Big Breakfast" and she was completely satisfied... with the breakfast. The staff was very rude, racist and unprofessional. The whole time that my family and I were there we were watched. The food was absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! We were searching Queens to find a breakfast place to go to before an early movie and we stumbled upon Uncle Bill's. And we were very happy that we did. An unassuming place in a strip mall, it's a bright and lively joint. While very busy when we were there, the service was attentive and helpful. I had the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs, and they were served hot and flavorful. The eggs in particular were cooked correctly, specifically not over cooked which I appreciated. Both my kids had the chocolate chip pancakes and they raved about them. And at ages 21 and 17, they've had a ton of that type of pancakes, and they said that these were the best they've every had. I frequent the diner a lot when in the area. When there Black Friday morning for breakfast. Wife couldn't join me because she was no felling well. Plenty of empty table. I sat in the middle tables and choose a table that can seat up to four chairs. I wanted to order a large breakfast so chose a larger table. Waiter came up and said just "one"? He said one can only sit there, for "one" being that there were many empty tables, I got insulted and walked out. Went to another diner close by and they were busy! I still got a booth for one and will frequent them instead in future. Bill's diner just lost a steady customer because they didn't use there intuition and logic when seating people. I was in the restaurant business for many years. Management needs to retrain their staff. A business can go down if customer service is not attended to. Just my thoughts. read more

I love the chicken cesar salad with oil and vinegar. alot of space for average to large groups or you can eat on the stools next to the delicious cakes and pies. looking at it will tempt you.
