Staff was very friendly. We ate on the outside part to enjoy the weather. The only downfall was the flies which is to be expected. The crabby wings were really good. I got a pina colada which was delicious. For dinner we had, chicken tenders, fish tacos, seafood platter, chicken and waffles. Everything was cooked really well and big servings. Food is amazing! Only thing we didn't like was we called ahead for a reservation and was told they didn't take reservations but they would have no problem seating our group of 10. We get there, and tell them group of 10, and they ask if we made a reservation... So we had to sit outside in the 85 degree heat. But the food was good, so I can't complain too much. read more

Last minute decision with a group of 10. Place was packed but they fit us in after about an hour wait. Service was very good and good game out fast. Everyone liked there meals. Had dinner here. Were very accommodating for our party of 9. We were about 15 minutes early for our 6:00 reservation, and they had our table ready for us. My wife and I each had the blackened fish tacos, and crabby fries as an appetizer. We loved all of it! Worth noting, the fish tacos have some spice to them, almost mexican style. We loved them, but one of the others in our group didn't care for theirs, as they prefer fish tacos with more of a slaw base. Uncle Ike's didn't blow me away, but it was a good place to eat after visiting the lighthouse. The staff was friendly, and we didn't have to wait at all for our party of 6. Be aware that they do add a 20% gratuity if your party is 6 or larger. I had a crab cake sandwich, and it was good... not great. The chicken fingers a couple of folks in our party ordered were enormous. They all liked them. The chicken and waffles also got a thumbs up. I think we may have hit this place on an off day, looking at the other reviews. We showed up and were seated immediately. The wait staff was really nice, though it took awhile to get menus (understandably, they were completely packed). We got our drinks after awhile, and ordered right away. It was really hot in the restaurant, but it was also one of the 90 degree days, so it might've just been that their air conditioning was overwhelmed. The food was a little off. I got chicken fingers, and my partner got the Turkey club. The chicken fingers were a little off, ( I couldn't exactly put my finger on why - they were really chewy), but my partner's sandwich was the greasiest sandwich either of us had ever tried. It was shiny. My final impression of the place was the main reason it only gets 2 stars - As we were leaving, I looked at the window right behind where my partner was sitting - it was covered with dozens of dead bugs. I visited this restaurant during a weekday for lunch in June 2011. My mom and I agreed it was one of the best fish that we had in Corolla. First of all, the fish tacos (get them blackened) were spicy, covered in remoulade and salsa. The portions were large. The fish was so fresh that it didn't taste like fish at all and was delicious! My mom ate fish and chips which consisted of a fish filet flipped twice in flour and crusted with an extremely light batter. The fish was served with a side order of "remaulade" (a thousand island like sauce.) The batter was light and delicate and the fish tasted salty, not overly "fishy." I spoke to the waitress and she mentioned that they filet and bread the fish themselves and buy it fresh daily. The french fries are frozen, however. One note, the beverages are made with the over-chlorinated Corolla tap water and taste like pool-water with either lemonade or nestea flavoring. Do yourself a favor, get a beer or other bottled beverage. Oh and did I mention THEY HAVE A FULL BAR!! Oh yes...they do!! Highly recommended. I wish I would have known about them earlier, so that I could go back. read more

I like there food a lot. The restaurant was super low key which was nice. I would only say that if you were going a little later at night with kids it might not be the best if you are sitting inside near the bar area. Went again for lunch the other day to try the crabby wings. The first few wings were great. After the started to cool the fat from frying the wings and the fat from the aoli the wings are tossed in gets to be much. The quinoa burger is a solid choice for the veggie folks. read more

Don't let the name fool you or scare you off of this hidden treasure! Yes it's a very cool rustic bar atmosphere where you can come watch a game and enjoy a local beer. But the food is the real treasure this place has to offer! The southern fried chicken is the best thing I ate our entire vacation, and my fiancé had the best crab cakes either of us have ever had before anywhere! Also I'd suggest you start your meal with the fire cracker shrimp, they are unbelievable! Uncle Ike does it right! The whole restaurant smelled like dirty mop water, the bartenders are rude. I wouldn't recommend this place for drinks or karaoke.

The crab dip was really good. Also had the fried shrimp and it was good but was hoping for a bit more than five shrimp.

YUM!! I came for the crabby wings. They were even better than I imagined. They were traditional Buffalo-style deep-fried wings, but with flake crab meat and Old Bay type seasonings heaped on top of them. And when I say "heaped", I mean that they were generous with the crab. It's technically an appetizer, but I had it for my entree. I was just disappointed that I couldn't also have one of the entrees.
