I found this place on it was pretty busy for a Saturday morning.It seems to be like by many in the area.They had a line in the drive through , and almost every table inside was filled. While I would give them another try, I can't say my first experience was the best. I order two breakfast tacos with potatoes beans eggs chorizo and cheese. Before ordering them, I asked if they had a burrito instead, because this might seem like a lot of toppings for breakfast taco.But they didn't offer any so I told them to load up the toppings that I like and paid extra for each topping. In the end, all I could taste or see was beans cheese and potatoes.After I left as this was a tough order.It was too late for me to go back. The tacos. Tasted okay, but it just wasn't what I green sauce was pretty good as well.An addition to that i orders menudo. The flavor of the broth was pretty good but it seemed a little thin.I also ordered a large maneuver that is smaller than most places.I would get a large method of 4.And it seemed like they had only have filled it with the tripe. What a shame. All I can say. We stopped by after a wonderful Sunday service at Triumph church. This is going to be 99% about how bad the service is. I'm looking at it both from a customer point of view, and as someone who has kitchen experience. We walked in, it was not completely full, but all the open tables were dirty. We sat ourselves at a dirty table, and it took them awhile to clean it. Anyone here who runs a restaurant knows that is a big no no. I understand if they are slightly behind, but this isn't a 70 table place. It should be manageable for a single person. The key here is management or lack of it. I'm not trying to be mean. The food here is ok, but the service is really bad. Our waitress, bless her heart, was trying so hard, but she was the ONLY one trying. I assume the cashier or hostess, is also some type of manager. Made ZERO effort to help out. I could be wrong, but it seems that way. Ok I will get into the food, which also had horrible service. I order the original, we had the guisada and the puffy taco plate. In the industry you try as hard as possible, to bring out the tables dishes together. As in everyone gets their food close to the same time, unless the restaurant tells you a dish will be longer then give you the option to wait or not. They brought out my parillada original first, with no beans and accompaniments or tortillas, then we waited almost 20 mins for the rest of the food. This was perplexing. We asked the table next door, who were seated when we walked in, and were still waiting on food, if it was always like this, and they said it was their first and last time as well. I asked for corn tortillas, and they brought me extra flour instead. The fam, who are sweeter than me when it comes to reviews, were asking me what was wrong with the service and why it was so bad. It's not lack of personnel. It's bad management and lack of training. The kitchen was a mess. The runner was lost. The young girl cleaning tables was working like she had molasses in her veins. When I say it's a shame, the food here wasn't too bad. It's not anywhere near the best even in that area, but it's not bad. The corn tortillas when I actually got them were spectacular, the sauces were appropriately hot, and the food was well seasoned and cooked. I had a disappointing two visits: After having really great beef enchiladas, a week or so before, I ordered beef enchiladas again, I got home and they were cheese. I don't like cheese enchiladas because I'm not a fan of the thick cheese they put inside. The third visit, I asked the guy to please check to make sure they were beef because they had given me cheese enchiladas before. He said he misheard me; he asked if he could give me a cup of beef to put on top, because they made cheese (again). I explained that I don't like all that cheese inside cheese enchiladas, that's why I ordered beef. He said they would make me beef enchiladas. They did. There were not very good, I think they rolled up some picadillo in a couple of corn tortillas, put on the meat sauce and some cheese. They did not taste like enchiladas at all. Homemade tortillas! It was probably pretty tasty, but due to all the grease from my AL Pastor taco, the taste was lost in grease. My tacos had plenty of filling, and Pastor had a great authentic flavor. I think they should give you an extra tortilla, though, to use without all the grease from the meat because my tortilla got pretty soggy. I definitely will go again because the prices are good. Food was good, menu was decently sized - not too limited, but definitely not overwhelming! The only complaint was that they don't have limes. We did a to-go order and got queso, street tacos, and an enchilada plate. My fiancé is super picky about his enchiladas and this is one of the only places we have been that he actually liked the enchiladas! Definitely a win there. The bistec street tacos were really good. Since we did to-go all the cilantro & onions fell off on the way home, but the flavor was great. Queso was decent - not the best I've ever had, but far from the worst.. possibly because we took it home so it wasn't white as warm & fresh anymore. Went to Uncle Joes Tacos for lunch on 11 May, my timing was good because I came after the early lunch rush. There were a few people eating inside and a few more came while I was there. Wasn't super busy but a nice flow of people. When I arrived I was immediately seated and was served with chips and salsa. The waitress was great and I ordered a dr. pepper and a deluxe Mexican plate. Stop here multiple times over the last several days. This is a drive thru and sit down site. We have used the drive the option both times. The service was great both times and had our menu correct. The line moved swiftly and the employee was super nice making small talk (a forgotten art form) and offered extra salsa. I prefer their brisket and guisada tacos. We also had their ham n egg, bean n cheese, Migas, and chilaquiles which were okay. All were wrapped with care and warm. The tortillas were good. And so is their salsa. Great location for Alamo Ranch, but they can't handle more than a few customers. I don't recommend until they get better service. We tried this place several times, and each time was chaotic and horrible. The limited staff disappears, and this last time, multiple customers were upset, looking around for over 40 minutes. The kitchen was full of people, but nothing was going on. People left without getting reimbursed; they waited so long and couldn't get help, so they eventually walked out. Calling ahead for takeout is an issue as well. Today, we waited over 10 minutes on Hold and then decided to drive there and order in person. The phone was off the hook the whole time. After telling them we were left on Hold on the phone, they didn't do anything about it and left the phone untouched, which makes me think perhaps it was intentional. I feel so bad for them as I'm sure it's stressful, but they don't have good order or basic service here. They need help big time. Hopefully, it's not ignored and can be rectified so they can succeed. I recommend when they reach their limit to let people know or at least give customers an expected wait time before ordering! Unfortunately, the food is not good enough to continue to suffer through if its growing pains. read more

Originally, I wanted to avoid this place because of the mixed reviews and hoping that I wouldn't become one of the low reviewers, but here we are. The "fantastic" welcoming of someone who did not want to be there, (Pati I believe her name was) made me feel at home. After telling her, I wanted a Diet Coke she said "we have tea", and I said, OK, I'll take an unsweet tea instead and then she tried charging me for both the Coke and the tea. About three minutes later, she literally tosses a bag of food on the table and says "here you go" and walks away. I was never asked if I wanted to go or to dine in and I was really looking forward to dining in so I can get the whole experience. The lack of service would really bring down the rating here.
