That personal touch immediately set the tone and made the experience feel authentic and heartfelt. Of course, I had to try the gumbo, and it was exactly what you'd hope for--rich, flavorful, and comforting. But the true star of the meal was the Crawfish Bisque. Silky yet full of Crawfish meadecadent, and packed with flavor, it was the kind of dish that makes you pause after the first bite just to appreciate what you're eating. And then came dessert. The Cherry Bread Pudding Fritters are what dreams are made of. Crispy on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside, with the perfect balance of tart cherry and rich bread pudding flavor. I would gladly return just for those. The atmosphere completed the experience. From the décor to the soundtrack, everything felt very NOLA. The music had me wanting to linger a little longer, and the whole restaurant had that warm, lively energy that makes New Orleans so special. The drink I ordered was out, but the waitress gave another option, but unfortunately that was out as well. Ended up having an old favorite, Guinness. For our meals we ordered the smoked brisket French dip and the wagyu burger. Upon ordered the burger our waitress informed us there was a shortage of patties and if we still wanted the burger we would get one patty instead of two, but at a lower cost. Both dishes were amazing and we couldn't finish them as both the fries and the entrees were larger in comparison to other places we have eaten. Overall this was a great experience with great food. The only thing we had difficulty with is having to use the phone flashlight to read the menu as the lighting was really dim. Will definitely return if we take another trip here.

While the seafood is wonderful, there is a variety of offerings that include some Mexican, some barbecue, fresh sandwiches and salads. Service is always top notch. Their burger entry for Burger Week was excellent, the accompanying hand cut fries were hot and tasty. The beer selection was a bit light for my liking. The service was excellent, always important. I'm a bit at a loss as to how to rate Riverport Grille. My experience tonight was positive, it was a great burger. So as a participant in this week's Burger Week event, a positive result. The disconnect on the sports theme is so obvious to me, impacting the likelihood of my future return.

The only thing that could be better is how they cook their white rice - it's not fluffy and has more of a gummy texture in both their poke bowl and their seasonal bento box. Ordinarily we wouldn't get desserts when Clumpies is a brief walk over, but this time we got their matcha cheesecake and layered chocolate cake. Both were delicious but between the two, I'd say the cheesecake was the best. Service is generally great here - they're attentive, friendly and give great recommendations. I also like how kid-friendly this restaurant is with a kids menu and crayons. While the ambiance doesn't feel kid-friendly, I like that this space allows parents to feel like they're having a night out while still able to have the kids in tow.
