Yes, I'm a piggy but I love leftovers. 1. Spaghetti with meatballs: a good portion of spaghet with flavorful marinara, and 2 balls (no comment). The balls of meat were far from extraordinary, having worked the meat too much (no comment) so they were too hard (no comment). ($8.95; 3.5 stars) 2. Veggie pizza with pepperoni: beautiful and fresh toppings. But, the crust was crisp but too hard, and for medium size, the dough must have been worked too much or there wasn't enough yeast. Waaayyyy too much pepper, too, did the bottle fall over on my pizza? ($14.85; 3.5 stars) 3. Garlic cheesebread: like a flatbread, nothing short of amazing. If the pizza had crust like this, 5.0 stars all the way, baby! ($4.75 normally but $free with Yelp check-in; 4.5 stars) One improvement that can be made is real glasses versus a paper "to go" cup. WE'LL BE BACK!! My first experience was last week we ordered a BBQ chicken pizza with NO chicken. Since my family no longer eats meat but still loves the taste of bbq pizza. Unfortunately the pizza was delivered with chicken on it. GrubHub refunded me as well as management called me later that evening to extend their apology. Tonight we gave them another shot! Unfortunately the first pizza delivered was the wrong size and overcooked. Mary- Management on duty at the time was very polite, apologetic and extremely empathetic to the situation. She made sure to have a fresh pizza made in the exact proportion and re-delivered immediately. The crusty darker square pieces were from the original mini pizza delivered. Extremely over cooked and unfortunately was the wrong size. As you can see our new correctly made pizza taste as delicious as it looks!! At the end of the day with me it's about principal. Family felt daring one evening and decided to order pizza outside of the stores they normally see in commercials. SERVICE/FOOD: We ordered the spicy Hawaiian, margherita, potato wedges, a Caesar salad & cheesy garlic bread (check in technically comes with free garlic bread BUT you have to order a LARGE pizza to get it). HOWEVER, we had Caroline who was awesome enough to hook it up even though we just got medium sized pies. Sweet service points for that one. Now back to the pizza.. It was OKAY. Not my favorite non-commercialized pizza spot. I was craving a solid, good pizza so I decided to try out Uncle Tony's for the first time and they did not disappoint. We got half spicy Hawaiian and half bbq chicken with the hot wings and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the wings were actually hot! I feel like a lot of places that have wings not as their specialty don't really lay on the spice, but not this place. Also, the wings weren't soaked with sauce, which was very refreshing. The spicy Hawaiian was also spicy, but didn't have the amount of pineapple I would've preferred, but that's something I could request next time. When trying a new pizza place, I always order the same thing to gauge how it stacks up against the competition: A half cheese/half pepperoni pie. Twenty minutes later I was treated to the first part of a flavor extravaganza. The garlic cheese bread was divine. Baked to a golden crisp, the basic components of cheese, garlic and dough played off each other with exquisite finesse. It's the sort of food you want to enjoy on a cold day with a good movie. Prepared to finish the entire plate, my plans were thankfully thwarted by the arrival of the pizza. Its aroma alone was worth the price. A single bite confirmed I had gotten the better end of the deal. While I usually prefer my crust to pack some crunch, theirs is soft and pillowy. But on this day, in this place, that soft crust was so good that I didn't give a damn about crunch. Everywhere in the world that's a pizza with tomatoes and basil. They must have been out of basil? You'd think they'd let you know that 1 of your pizza's 3 toppings aren't available. If they forgot it, even worse. The well done part, also missed. It was so sloppy the crust was wet on the bottom. Agree with recent Yelp reviews here. Do not believe the high rating here. Maybe this place used to be great, but it certainly isn't now. We were excited to find such a high rated place in the Valley so gave it a try. We ordered online - a medium thin and crispy pepperoni and a medium soft thick crust roasted garlic chicken. We arrived 45 mins later at Uncle Tony's and they were all very confused and hadn't even started on our order. Ended up starting ours - a woman who walked in and ordered after us got her pizza before!! First bad sign. We arrive home and open the boxes and I could see the poor quality of the pizzas already. Firstly the pepperoni - the crust was not crispy at all. It tasted like a pre-made crude and not fresh. Cheap tasting pepperoni and cheese and slightly undercooked. The roasted garlic and chicken. The chicken again was not fresh and was definitely pre frozen chicken. I understand this was a roasted garlic pizza but there was whole cloves of garlic on the pizza still in the skin making them impossible to eat - see picture. Really a let down all round. REALLY good personal pizza! I got the veggie lover and it did not disappoint. Tons of veggies but the crust retained its crispness and foldability. This place is right in the neighborhood so I can't believe it took me so long to try. They are open until midnight which is a huge bonus and the red headed cashier girl was incredibly friendly and helpful. Updating my review to 1 star. The few times we have tried to order since my last review, the wait times and service have become even more ridiculous. I placed an online order with an estimated delivery time of 45-60 minutes, which immediately after I ordered and paid they sent an email updating it to 90-120 minutes. Nobody wants to wait two hours to eat pizza, that is just crazy. The reason I'm giving them 1 star is because when I called to ask about the delivery estimate doubling, they were rude, dismissive, and hung up on me. I was going to write a good review based on my first experience. Unfortunately last tonight was my second and LAST experience that I will have at this restaurant. I was met with an unfriendly welcome from the lady behind the cash register. When I placed my order she wasn't familiar with the item and gave me attitude. Then I presented my yelp coupon which says "1 free small garlic cheese bread" for checking in to this restaurant on yelp and the woman told me that I would have to buy a $20 (large or x-large) pizza to get that deal. I asked her to verify with her boss if this was correct (which I got even more attitude for doing this) and then another coworker came over and said I needed to purchase a larger pizza to get that "free" deal. I said nevermind and paid for the ajarski and medium Hawaiian pizza. The next group of customers that came in were greeted with a warm welcome. The obvious lack of friendly customer service for myself and my boyfriend was even more evident at the point. The wait for our food was average for a pizza joint, however the ajarski (I had ordered it scrambled) came raw to the table. We took it back and asked for it to be cooked again, explaining that the egg whites were cold and raw. They brought it back a second time raw. I don't mind eating runny egg yokes, but raw, cold, slimy egg whites are disgusting. Instead of dealing with these employees any further we simply finished our pizza (which was not bad, but nothing too good to keep us as customers) and we left. I'm pretty disappointed with our experience last night considering the first experience we had here was the complete opposite. We paid $25 for an okay pizza, a raw ajarski and 1 drink. We ordered: ++ Garlic Cheese Bread ++ Hot Wings ++ Mild Wings ++ Greek Pizza I read some of the other reviews, and it seemed mixed about the wings. IMO tho - these wings were bomb! They were a decent size, smothered in plenty sauce and deliciously juicy. They definitely didn't disappoint and satisfied my craving! We really enjoyed the garlic cheese bread as well! Once again tonys scores a big A+ with me, i came in ordered 3 large pizzas with 2 salads and it was done in 17 mins, i ate a slice before going home and the food was amazing. My experience was horrible with this place the last time I ordered. I always order from this place and the food is usually good. However, I just ordered their Ajarski, I paid $14.95 because I asked for one extra egg, and extra feta cheese. What did I get..? I received literally the smallest Ajarski I have ever seen in my entire life. On top of that, It was missing my extra egg, and it barely had ANY cheese in it. The eggs were so undercooked that the egg whites were completely translucent, and you could see right through to the bottom of the bread. The cheese was not even melted, the entire thing was so undercooked that the strands of grated cheese were perfectly intact, floating around in completely RAW EGG WHITES. I also ordered a cookie on the side, thinking how could a BAKERY **** up a cookie? - It was a prepackaged, brick of sugar that you would not even take at a 7/11 if it was handed out for free. It allowed me to add whatever topping I wanted to either half of the pizza. It also allowed me to choose the sauce and crust type. Take cash or card. Can add tip amount at the end. Process was super easy and convenient . Estimated delivery time was pretty accurate . Pizza was still warm and exactly how I ordered. Inside box was a small cup of cheese and peppers .
