Hawaiian pizza, Veggie Lovers Combo Pizza
    Shashi W.

The pizza was really good! We were able to split our pizza to 2 different specialties! Veggie and Hawaiian! Pizza was really good when hot! Would definitely go again, we did carry out but the store looked really cozy would definitely need to go back to and dine in! Workers were really helpful when ordering!

I'm sorry to be this disappointed in a pizza. I orders off yelp 2 mediums one small and came out to $77.00. I have no problem paying that much for a pizza if it was good. I ordered two medium thin crusts with extra cheese and a small thick crust. The look and presentation of the pizza was much better than the taste. There was by no means any flavor in the crust. It tasted like matza pizza to say the least. There was definitely no extra cheese on any of the pizzas in my opinion so the 2 bucks up-charge for each was pointless The delivery was good but I was a little frustrated that the grub hub app showed my order was in progress event till after the delivery which did not let me dispute the unnecessary charges for the extra cheese. Overall, I was disappointed because I had been craving pizza for 3 days and this pizza did not satisfy my cravings. This place is for someone who wants to try a "specialty" pizza place with a not so traditional crust or dough taste. The thin crust rises kind of like a croissant does with air pockets so it looks like there's a mountain of cheese compared to the crust but that's just not the case. It looked the part just didn't taste the part. Sorry.

To give you an idea of what the pizza looks like. Not my favorite, tbh. Thin floppy skin, not chewy and kind of oddly smooth at the bottom.

My experience was a bit bizarre. I placed an order through Grubhub at 10:38 AM scheduled for an 11:30 AM delivery. This timing was critical because I only had a 15 minute gap in-between meetings to receive the food. Well, by 11:40 AM the food had not arrived. I called the restaurant directly and the nice gentleman that picked up apparently had no idea about my order. After sounding confused for a while and repeatedly saying my name as if he were searching for order in their system, he asked if he could put me on hold. Not a good sign. He gets back in the phone and says, "Yup. We got your order." When I asked where it was, he told me the driver wasn't there (at the store) and so he thinks it's on the way? Maybe he's almost there? Yes he phrased those statements as a questions to me. So I walk out to the parking lot to wait. I'm now late for my 11:45 AM meeting. At 11:50 AM, 20 minutes past my scheduled delivery time, a confused man looking like Uncle Tony himself drives slowly through my parking lot and yells from an older unmarked car, "Delivery???" from his driver's window. Mind you this is taking place is a business parking lot with customers around. It's a good thing I went out to wait for him, because heaven knows if he would have even texted me upon arrival, which is what the instructions said to do for my order. The food...it's ok. I got a large 3 topping pizza. It was not a bad price, at $14.19, but the crust isn't my favorite. It's thin, but floppy, not chewy and oddly smooth on the bottom. It's ok. The salad was good (mixed leaves, tomato, carrots, croutons, and cheese) and a good portion for an $8 salad. Undecided if I'll give them another try, to be honest. Maybe for a salad?

Very disappointed, and very pricey. I ordered the chicken garlic pizza with thin crust. Super thick crust no flavor ,really dried out not saucy at all.... Also ordered french fries. The french fries were undercooked without seasoning . Won't be ordering again. Shoulda picked up a frozen CPK garlic chicken pizza instead of wasting 33$

Uncle Tony is a winner in the pizza space! Absolutely loved my spicy hawaiin pie! I love their take on Hawaiin pizza because they use hot sauce and bacon as well as the usual pineapple and bacon. The crust was so yummy I can't wait to try other pizzas here. Very satisfying experience overall. Make sure to grab some ranch for dipping :)

I use to love ordering from this place due to the fresh ingredients. Unfortunately this time we ordered pepperoni and mushrooms. They used can mushrooms. WTH. So disappointed. Quality has gone down.

Thin crust that is very flavorful, good sauce, not too much cheese, just enough, not that deep dish stuff that midwestern people think is pizza but is something else entirely. When I first moved here, you could not get the real deal, it was disappointing. Then the grandson of Regina's Pizza in the north End opened up the Pizza Connection is Canoga Park and it was really good. He opened a bunch of other locations but over time, not sure why, the pizza just wasn't as good. My child Emily Asher Kellis disagrees, still loves it, but she was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, so what does she really know about pizza. After trying a bunch of different "New York City" pizza joints that were just ok, we found Santino's NY Pizza in Sherman Oaks and were very happy with it, authentic East Coast pizza. Well last week I discovered they went out of business. Oh no, what were we going to do? So I researched and found there was a place in Sherman Oaks called The Pizza Wagon of Brooklyn, only two locations, here and in Brooklyn and people said it was the real deal. Tonight we tried it, and you know what, it might just be even better. Santino's sauce had a slight sweetness to it that we liked that this doesn't but the sauce is good, and the crust is even more flavorful and they are a bit more liberal with the olive oil usage, which true East Coasters love while I am told that most health conscious Southern Californians do not. Anyway, we are quite happy that we can continue to get our pizza craving satisfied when we just gotta have some slices.

There's always space for shops like this that keep things simple and stay in their lane. Today I tried a slice of their Eggplant and one of their Pesto. The eggplant was good, but the Pesto was great. The eggplant needed a bit more flavor, whereas the pesto was rich and paired perfectly with the ricotta. The staff here is awesome. They're always ready to help and since it's a small space inside, they'll keep to themselves if you eat in there. If the weather is good, I prefer to eat out front. Despite the busy street, it's surprisingly peaceful with a slice in hand. Pizza Wagon of Brooklyn is a great option if you're close by and looking for a solid, cheap slice!

After all, some things lose their soul when they leave home. I am happy to confirm, this is not one of them. The remarkable thing is not that the pizza is good. It's that it feels faithful. Somehow they've captured the character of the original, right down to the chew of the crust and the balance of flavors that made people fall in love with it in the first place. They must be sourcing their water from New York, because they absolutely nailed it. Yes, it's expensive. Then again, so is nearly everything in Los Angeles, especially in Studio City. The difference here is that the price fades from memory the moment the pizza hits the table. This is one of those rare places where the product justifies the cost. If it's your first visit, begin with the Prince Perfection. Then make your way to the Spicy Pepperoni Slice, a piece of pizza that borders on indulgence and somehow still leaves you wanting another bite. Good pizza fills you up. Great pizza stays with you. Prince Street Pizza belongs firmly in the latter category.

So naturally, when we learned of the existence of Prince Street Pizza, it was "added to the list." We tried a basic NY slice, a Green Machine NYC slice, a Sicilian Prince Street Perfection, and Sunset Square slices. They were all good with decent flavor. We think the dough was slightly undercooked on the Sicilian slices, but generally thought these were worthwhile slices to have, miles above chain or basic Italian restaurant pizza...but not our favorite from similar offerings at other newer local spots. If we lived nearby (We don't; we drove from Santa Clarita to check it out), it would definitely be a part of our regular rotation. The staff is awesome...really thoughtful and nice...got every detail of what we asked for right. Made a point of offering me my free cookie for signing up for the rewards program without me having to ask. Love the decor as well. You definitely get the local, small NYC slice vibe in the shop. It's definitely worth giving it a try!

If you don't know it, Joe Peeps is on Magnolia, just East of Whitsett, with the cartoon of Joe (presumably) "peeping" over a wall. They've been here 45 years, and were, for a long time, one of the only places to get a somewhat traditional NY Slice or whole pie. You park and enter from the back, and are immediately visually assaulted by walls covered in graffiti, like those in the sadly long-gone Wiener Factory. The dining area is small, with just a few tables, the vast majority of the overall space having been given to the prep area and ovens. You order at the counter, pay, and wait for them to bring you your food. Service is quick and friendly, and there are plenty of options, including salads and pasta dishes -- some other folks were eating cheesy garlic bread that looked very good. I opted for a slice with sausage, and was happy to find the little nubs of pork were well-seasoned and had a little punch of spice atop their specifically Italian flavor. The tomato sauce had a thickness you don't often see on pizza these days, and I really enjoyed the slightly acidic, very fresh tomato taste. Mozzarella was high quality with very good flavor, making for a truly satisfying slice. Crust is a bit thicker than I usually prefer, BUT: they know how to bake their pies, so the crust still has a proper crisp and crunch to it despite the thickness. The crust also has its own flavor, so you know that THEY know how to do what they do. It's not the prettiest, most uniform-looking slice in town, but it IS one of the better tasting, definitely homemade slices you'll find for sure. The only drawback I found was a bit of an aroma coming from the restrooms. I've been in lots of places with this issue, and I know it can't be resolved without a full remodeling, which these folks are unlikely to do. That said, the pizza here is much, much better than what you'll get at the fancy chain that's recently opened across the street and is no-doubt creating competition -- and I'd rather have the good pizza than anything else.
