    Fried calamari
    Sasha M.

WOW - What a gem! My girlfriend recommended this place and I'm so glad she did. It's the perfect mix of cozy bar vibes and a stylish restaurant. We arrived on the earlier side and by about 7 PM the place was buzzing clearly a local favorite. We thought we were just going to start with a few appetizers... but we happily got carried away! The appetizers were so good that we ended up skipping the dinner menu entirely because we were already full and totally satisfied. Here's what we tried (and loved): * Nom Noms (risotto bites) -- Absolutely delicious, perfectly crispy and flavorful. * Sausage Board -- The pork belly sausage was incredible, and the pretzel buns with the cheese dip were chef's kiss. The pickled beets added the perfect touch. * Fried Calamari -- Light, crispy, and not oily at all. * Brussels Sprouts (Spicy Bang Bang) -- These were the star of the night. The sauce, the crispness, the flavor perfection. For drinks, we ordered a classic Old Fashioned (executed perfectly) and their signature Eternal Summer cocktail, which was bright, refreshing, and so good even though I got distracted by the food and didn't finish it! And honestly, the experience was made even better by the staff. Our host and server were both so friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful with their recommendations. They made us feel taken care of without hovering just great service all around. We will definitely be coming back. Everything from the atmosphere to the food to the service was memorable. Highly recommend!

    Mussels Frites

I went durning happy hour and had an great espresso martini and amazing mussels. The mussels had an amazing sauce that made me want to drink straight from the bowl, it came with fries be the dish is actually called Mussels Frites but could use some crusty bread. I still dipped and soaked some fries in the sauce though and yummmm. The staff were amazing and as busy as they were, they took the time at the bar to check in a few times. I will definitely be back for this dish and maybe another one soon.

Bottom line up front: This is a great place for a date night. We were in this area last Friday and took advantage of the opportunity to come here. While we ate at Jonathan's Cork several years ago, we wanted to give this place a try under the new owners. Due to an appointment with another business, we came here following at ~4 PM. I was surprised by how many other customers were already here. Our waitress was personable and the place was clean. For an appetizer, we had the Bacon n' Eggs (Beet-pickled deviled eggs, goat cheese, bacon, chives). The presentation was the best part and it was a memorable offering. My wife had the BLT and enjoyed the sandwich, but kept talking about how good the fries were. I too liked the fries in both of taste and the firmness which almost had a snap. I had The Gotham City Manhattan was very good, and the From the Ashes desert drink was excellent! (juicy, crumbed chicken, prosciutto, marinara, parmesan over linguine) which was very good and I would certainly order this dish again. The one negative I had was while the establishment is dark and intimate inside (which is a good thing) the door was open and with the angle of the sun, we moved three times. I mentioned it to our server, but they either did not care or seemed not to pick up on the hint. The Gotham City Manhattan was very good, and the From the Ashes desert drink was excellent! My wife also enjoyed the strawberry cheesecake.

Big Dipper and Nom Nom Balls

As fans of the Cork, we've been here twice to try out this more casual sister venue and have left feeling happy with our meals overall. It's cheaper than the Cork, with more bar-type options on the menu, but with the same quality of preparation. We've had the following: - Nom nom balls: full of umami and mushroom forward (good if you're a fan of mushrooms) - Big Dipper: loved this as a lighter appetizer option; the butternut squash hummus had a nice creaminess to it - Steak Frites: cooked perfectly medium rare - the mushroom cream sauce on top adds a nice flavor and the fries are nice and crispy - Cheesecake: creamy and not too sweet It did take a bit for food to come out both times we went but I think it's because there has been only one server on both occasions - both times the server was so nice and was definitely hustling to get everyone their food and drinks.

    Bacon and Eggs

We came in with our teen son for a late lunch. It was kind of busy and the waitress let us know she was the only one serving. She did an excellent job despite being super busy. She got us drinks quickly, took our order in a reasonable amount of time, and the food came out pretty fast too. We had the Bacon Eggs, which was fancy deviled eggs. I love the beet-pickled egg, it adds a nice hint of flavor to the whites. Son got a big chicken pasta dish- he devoured it. Husband went with the Brussel sprouts appetizer and a steak flatbread. Everything we had was delicious! Definitely will be back. There were tvs with sports on and a big-sized bar with lots of drink optional available.

Sonoran Restaurant menu extended to the 21st

Came with a friend and really enjoyed the food. Service was weird. Servers were not hospitable or friendly and it seemed like Carly or Harley was alone on the floor. Which may explain why she has little patience for explaining the menu or giving recommendations. The Sonoran restaurant week menu was extended so we decided to give it a go. I started with the Mac and cheese HOLY COW WAS IT GOOD!!!!!! I'm still thinking about it. My second course was chicken n pajamas which was also tasty. It's breaded chicken with prosciutto, cheese and sauce. It came with either fries or linguine pasta and I went with pasta. The linguine was slightly over cooked and the sauce was too acidic. It could have used a little sweetness. Overall it was good tho and I would order it again. My margarita was FANTASTIC. The last course was a choice between an eclair or cheesecake. We both went with the eclair and agreed it needed work. The way it was described is not what we got. I was expecting a light fluffy cream with raspberry flavor folded in. What we got was a thin syrupy and overly sweet mess. My friend had chose different menu items and had issues with his entree. His hanger steak was not butchered properly thus it tasted like liver. Huge turn off. It's unfortunate bc the mushroom sauce and fries that come with the steak were superb. Depending on what happy hr looks like for this place I may or may not come back.

Had been wanting to try..and they extended Restaurant Week, so we did. Ample parking, next to Jimmy Johns. Ambiance/Cleanliness-while clean, the space lacked warmth or character..no art on the walls..nothing distinctive...it was simply...a box to eat/drink in...bar area takes up about 1/2 the space. 3 stars Service-Carli was our server and maybe she was having a bad day. Competent...but lacking in basic conversation and devoid of any warmth. 2 stars Food-we started with the mac n cheese and the hummus. Mac n cheese was flawless...proper texture, amazingly creamy. Hummus had good texture, needed citrus and salt. Mains were chicken parm and hanger steak. Parm was a big piece of perfectly fried poultry with a tasty, golden breading. Nicely seasoned sauce. Fries and sauce on the steak frites were stellar....sauce was creamy, salty and bursting with flavor. Fries were crispy and salted well. The steak was inedible. I have happily eaten dozens of hanger steaks and THIS one was tainted with the most awful gamey, liver-y flavor in my life. I hate sending food back....and have not done so in a few years. Carli asked how the food was an i told her. Asked for another steak, but she told me if i didn't like this one, i probably wouldnt like the replacement. So I got the burger. Which was beefy, a salty and tasty af. The carmelized onions were wonderfully rendered. Arugula, a nice touch...but the bun was in desparate need of toasting. The chococlate raspberry eclairs were mid...the pate' choux was sodden and limp. 3 stars. Not likely to go back. Sad. The potential is massive.

    Brussels and Coleslaw

Came here after golf for dinner and drinks. It was casual and delicious. It is small, and we came right before a rush, but there was a wait when we were leaving! We got a mojito made with pomegranate syrup, the sausage board, Brussels sprouts, and Steak Frites. The Brussels were some of the best we have ever had. The fries are very good, and the steak was cooked perfectly. We can't wait to come back! It is loud and dark, so keep that in mind if that may bother you!

    Where's the cheese and bacon!?
    Danita M.

This was first time and my DIL and I were looking forward to a fun dinner and drink. I enjoy a good beer usually Barrio Blonde but that was not available so got Miller Lite. When we entered it was very dark and had to find a place to sit. Eyes eventually adjusted to lighting. I ordered grilled cheese and French fries. I have had many different grilled cheese and always enjoyed them. I must admit this was the worst I have jad had .It was very dry could not even taste cheese or bacon I ate half thinking I could fix it at home but beyond fixing. I never complain but very unhappy with meal. Waitress was fine but not enough to make me return.

    Uncorkd smashburger
    Marion R.

I went here for the first time last Friday for lunch. I have to say it just felt right. The food was delicious. I had the uncorkd smash burger and my husband had the blt. Both were perfect! I also tried an old fashioned, which isn't a normal lunch drink for me, but it sure could be! The service was great-Carly was wonderful. And the vibe in there is so cool! Can't wait to go back for the steak frites and the mussels.

New casual side to the place we celebrated mom & dad's 50th anniversary!

My sister, her mother in law and our mom went to Uncork'd on Monday and loved it so much she brought me back tonight. I'm so glad she did. This is elevated casual dining with Gastropub quality that will not break the bank. Sadly, my hunger got in the way of my food photography so I could not fully document our meal. The walleye fish and chips were excellent. Perfectly battered and crisp. The Green Goddess Coleslaw had changed my mind about coleslaw for the better. My sister and I were both intrigued by the description of the chicken in pajamas, but realized it's a riff on chicken parmigiana once the entree arrived. Gorgeous generous portion. Nice twist with prosciutto. However the Calabrian Chiles were too much for my sister, so we swapped plates. Our friend ordered the chicken-fried duck with salad and mac and cheese. This dish is above and beyond. She opted for the miso citrus but I'll be back for the Nashville Hot. Really excellent execution and what pushes Uncork'd into Gastropub range. Fabulous cocktails, nice wine and beer list. Fabulous service from Carly. This is a great spot for a nice, easy on your budget epicurean night out.

    Dining area and bar
    Carli O.

Cute cocktail bar and restaurant. The outside entrance feels hidden, but once you get in the dining area is quaint and has a great atmosphere. The wait staff were very friendly and drinks and food came out relatively fast. The cocktails were unique and delicious. 110 in the shade was a spicy tropical martini. The palomita was a nice twist on a classic Paloma. I ordered the steak sandwich which wasn't my favorite. The steak was cold and I didn't find the sauce very flavorful. But I'm definitely willing to give a second chance and try something else next time.

    Chicken Fried Duck

Another update.... Seems like they are working out their kinks. Had a dish that was "bombed" last time i tried it. Well it was fantastic!! The Chicken fried duck and foie gras were perfect. Cocktails excellent. Still noisy. Some staff slammed some stuff around. Etc. at one point I was speaking very loudly to the person next to me. Maybe another kink. Hopefully that gets worked out. I will be back!!!

Love the wall of chianti bottles that lead to the bar and love that the staff dress up in casual Prohibition garb. Came here for girl's night and it was everyone's first time even at the restaurant but mine. I'd had dinner a couple times in the restaurant for my birthday and had the cheese wheel fettuccine alfredo. I asked if anyone was interested in trying it and so 3 of us split it which ended up being pretty perfect. It is hands down THE BEST fettuccine alfredo. We had many drinks come to our table, the first round being the homemade limoncello. Made with local Meyer lemons, it is deliciously potent. A must try. The bartender, Ryan or Brian, he made cocktails from the heart. A couple of gals ordered "dealer's choice" drinks and they were inspired by the drinker's stories. It was really a unique experience for them and I could almost see his mind working out the chemistry of the libations. Another must try, although I didn't because I had to drive myself home. I did have a coffee with Bailey's, Amaretto, and freshly-made whipped cream. Last must try if not on a coffee drink maybe on a dessert. One person in our party thought that the drinks were on the spendy side. Many of the ingredients were house made and all top shelf. I'm from Los Angeles so an $18 drink was a normal night at the klerb. Worth mentioning if that would be a deal breaker. Worth a go. I thought it was better than the speakeasy at the Sonoran House which was too bright and not intimate. You really like feel more like you're not where you're supposed to be at The Still. There is a curio cabinet with cigars that I think are for sale. The speakeasy opens up to the patio for all the smoke suckers. Great for a small groups or date night, maybe not the first date.

The first thing I need to own is that it's a shame I hadn't visited here before. We arrived at 5:30p and both the bar and patio areas were packed - standing room only, and no wonder. They have one of the better happy hours (daily! 3:00 - 6:30p) - able to accommodate both the slacker and the over-timer Lol. Basic drinks are all discounted such as house wines, well drinks, and beers. Their bottled wines and craft cocktails are all exempt though. Many of their appetizers are also discounted and some quite substantially. We grabbed a glass of the house cabernet ($6, normally $8) and the grilled shrimp wrapped in jalapeno bacon ($13, normally $20). NOTE: happy hour pricing is Only available if you order/consume at the bar or on the patio and that's clear in advance, and understandable. The dining areas were only half full at this early point (but filled up by 6:30) and the host kindly encouraged us to enjoy our starters at the bar as she would hold our table. We were then sat near the "back" of this long venue and frankly, aside from the lone windowed table at the very front, this would be my preferred seating - cozy, intimate, with only five other tables around us. For dinner drinks she got an Italian Nebbiolo Bricco Magno Red Blend ($13/glass, reliably terrific/mellow) and I got the Chupacabra ($15) Mezcal/prickly pear cocktail, strong and excellent as well. We got an additional appetizer: the roasted bone marrow ($19). I had never had marrow before but she raved about how good this can be if done properly (bonus, it is super healthy). Folks, a picture/worth a 1000... suffice to say this was simply outstanding! We both had long work weeks and were craving meat - just a damn good steak. Our waiter, without blinking recommended the 8oz bison filet mignon ($65) as his absolute menu fav, and then the day's special: 14oz ribeye ($50). We ordered each. All dinners come with two sides and we each got the day's special: roasted half artichoke and she got the loaded baked potato while I got the mashed potatoes. Food arrived about 15 minutes later at good temperature (warm/rested with a strong char) with each being accurately grilled (medium and medium-rare). Taste was outstanding. Neither one of us had bison filet before and marveled how it (subtly) added a "wild" edge to an always outstanding, lean-but-tender, cut of beef. The loaded baked was terrific, however, the mashed was the only disappointment... a plainer mash one could not make themselves - pure white and borderline dry, no milk, butter, egg, gravy(?), nothing to make it creamy or add any flavor dimension - a surprise frankly. The only other "critique" is that the dessert menu could add some kind of dark/chocolate concoction. All in all, though, we loved our experience and have decided to add this to our periodic special dinners rotation! Staff was outstanding - just the proper balance of attentive and quiet - and waters never went below half empty. Parking is free and plentiful, especially behind the restaurant (and yes, if you continue on around the back there is another long entrance/exit driveway that comes out the other side of Jimmy John's and Noodleholics.

I understand the head chef has a French influence, but frankly it overwhelms the food and takes away from the freshness. I had the snapper since they didn't have the halibut. Where they seemed to sit everyone coming into the restaurant. If the restaurant was packed I would understand but every other room was empty. Who wants to sit along the pathway to the bathroom? Service was so/so. Had to ask for drinks multiple times. But frankly the quality of the food was not worth the cost. Definitely will not be returning, until they revamp the menu to include less French style and more uniquely inspired fresh food. I mean if we wanted French we would have gone to Le Rendezvous or Wild Garlic which are top notch.
