Eclectic, but tasteful decor combined with interesting tapas dishes and great service makes this place an enjoyable dining spot. You start off with some hot, fresh bread with a savory dipping oil. Yum! If you want tapas, you can choose one of three levels ("flights") of menu items, each one slightly more expensive than the next. You can pick 4 from any level you choose, and any of the 4 can be chosen from less expensive flights if you wish. It doesn't look like a lot of food, but I was stuffed before finishing my third plate! I particularly liked the pork belly bites and garlic shrimp. I didn't love the chorizo, which was kind of greasy. Also, the roasted goat cheese (cazuela de queso) was good, but it really needed a hunk of bread in order to really enjoy it. I would have liked to see more meat items on the middle flight. This is a BYOB restaurant. read more

We arrived at 6 (early for Friday night dinner) and were the only ones there. After looking at the extensive menu options, we settled on 4 tapas plates to share and a dinner entree each. More patrons arrived at the same time our small plates did. Polenta fries in particular were delicious. Next arrived my wonderfully presented 10oz filet mignon. Top 5 steak I've ever had. Came here for dinner with a party of 5. Street parking. Place was nicely decorated and clean. A nice vibe. Max was excellent as our server. All you can eat tapas special had an awesome selection that were delicious. The special included a virgin sangria but they made a fresh batch using a bottle of wine we brought. You can also have alcohol delivered to the restaurant. Max took care of that for us. Nice set of desserts too. read more

I am sorry to say that the food is very underwhelming. My husband and I had tapas and salads. First of all there are way too many rules when ordering the tapas. I could forgive those rules if the tapas were good. We have had tapas all over Europe and in NYC. The tapas here tasted like I was trying to make them at home, not like Spanish small plates. I didn't even finish my patatas bravas and that is one of my favorite dishes. The servers were great but disappeared once the food showed up. The busboy(?) was awesome though. Another faux pas is serving refrigerated olives with congealed oil on them. Olives need to be served warm. Sorry, I really wanted to love this place but seeing as they have experience with their other restaurant I can't see the food getting any better. Good luck. read more

Food and service are excellent! I came here during the restaurant week. It come with three courses including appetizer, salad and main course. Everything we ordered is wonderful, very tasteful and creative. I remember we had herb flat bread, beets salad, arugula and Brussels sprout salad, pan roasted chicken and short rib. I also like the interior decor and atmosphere. The server was very attentive as well. I would definitely come back in the future to try more food. read more

My husband and I are from town. We heard about a new resturant so we decided to come and check out Under the moon. We have tried every restaurant in town and Under the moon is one of the best so far. The food has a Argentinian flair with a unique flavorful touch. The lemon layered crape desert was the finest we've had in a long time. You will not be disappointed. We had such a great experience at Under the Moon! We had a Saturday afternoon lunch outside on the patio in January! Perfect setup during current circumstances. We ordered fried chicken sandwich, a burger and pick 4 tapas- mushrooms, octopus, pork belly and bacon wrapped dates. Everything was delicious! The service was great as well! First off thank you to the wait staff for working hard, service was good unfortunately the food was not. I'm not sure why the reviews are so high for this restaurant. If you're from NYC and know good food skip this place. Subpar at best. My burger came out completely raw sent it back, my partner got chicken n waffles and they gave him a half of a soggy premade waffle his meal had no taste. We spent 2 hours waiting for our brunch for it to be raw and soggy. Waste of time and money! We will not be returning read more

What a great place to celebrate our daughter's high school graduation with a late lunch. Menu is awesome, something for everyone, love the tapas menu!! Sadly, I just ate my last meal at what was one of my favorites for a few years now.... Not because the food was bad, it wasn't, in fact it has always been consistently great. Not because the service was bad - that too has been consistently great! But, because they made some bad business decisions on this last day of 2022 and soured our New Years Eve celebration with an outrageously priced prefixed menu that we didn't know about until we arrived. They did not update Resy with that info... and we have a member of our family who has dietary restrictions that was very limited with choices. I know that I'm right because, what should have been a full house was actually more service people than patrons. We also just discovered that the price changed from $80 to $100 per person today. You earned your last $600 from my family.....I hope it was worth it. I wish you the best of luck, but you likely won't survive unless you learn and make more sound decisions. read more

I have been here twice since they opened and have had an amazing experience both times. Atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff are so warm and friendly, can't wait to go back again. First trip appetizer was the wild mussels in cream saffron sauce and then ordered off the Tapas menu, the bacon wrapped dates were mind blowing. Next trip had the pear salad and then the surf and turf special. My companions, both vegetarians were skeptical about the menu but we were pleased when Kim offered to have the chef modify many of offerings on the menu. Everything was cooked to perfection. Desserts are incredible and not the average cheese cake, pie and brownies offered up in many establishments. This place for sure is a real gem! read more

Wonderful spot for lunch or brunch. BYOB. Eclectic but fun and interesting decor. Nothing matches but it works! A varied and eclectic mix of food as well. Some Latin influences. We had some pretty darn good beef empanadas and a solid meatloaf stuffed with cheese and peppers and wrapped in bacon. The bread pudding dessert was abundant and too good to leave behind! UTM was recommended to us by the staff at our wedding venue and we were not disappointed! Luz, the event coordinator, was amazing from start to finish with great communication, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile to make everything perfect! The food was amazing, with a custom menu created just for us when the chef heard we were coming for a tasting. We look forward to coming back to UTM to try their regular menu as well. Finally, everyone of our guests raved that the banana nutella crepe cake we had was the best wedding cake they ever had! Cannot recommend this place highly enough!!! read more

The food is the best I've had in the Lambertville area (and there is lots to choose from) and they really were accommodating, even during the tough situation the world is in now. What a wonderful place! Top notch service, incredible food and beautiful atmosphere! They are doing it right at Under the Moon! My husband and I ate breakfast here and the quiche was so delicious and HUGE! He really enjoyed his huevos rancheros also. The best part (and only part) of our dining experience that made the evening worthwhile, besides the friends with whom we dined, was the talented musician who played cover tunes at just the right decibel. This was our first time dining here and we are not planning to return. Due to an apparent technical malfunction, the kitchen closed before our order was prepared. Our server was lovely and did his best despite the kitchen's error. By the time the food came out, it was almost 2 hours after we sat down. We were very hungry by this time and, unfortunately, the food was just not good. The shaved brussel sprouts and arugula salad, which 3 of us ordered, had a pile of cheese thrown on top. Mine had 4 barely grilled shrimp which I asked to be cooked more and they were the same the second time. The small slabs of salmon on the other 2 salads looked like afterthoughts. My husband ordered 3 tapas, all of which were too heavily salted. The offer of free dessert was nice, and the server genuinely felt bad, but it didn't make up for the rest of the evening. The tab for 4 of us, dinner plus a few glasses of wine and cocktails was over $300!!! - an exorbitant amount for this less than mediocre meal. read more
