So I came here for the first time with a friend of mine. I just wanted to take me out for my birthday. We decided on a couple of drinks and some nachos. It was a little difficult to find here because it's a restaurant that's slightly to the side and it was our first time so it was just a little bit of a struggle, but once I figured it out, we were in there. There was no one in there at the time that we entered, so for the first hour and a half or so we were just getting served by about two or three people that just kept checking on us, which was great. This place has a great happy hour menu that includes both food and drinks. Some of the food items are buy one, get one for happy hour, and the happy hour drinks are really good. My favorite was the margarita. The food arrived hot. The drinks came out quickly. And the waitresses were helpful and attentive, giving recommendations when possible. I parked in front of the restaurant and was told it was reserved and I had to pay to park in an open parking lot. Upon arrival, we were told we were "lucky" to be sat down with no reservation, but the restaurant was empty and did not fully fill up through the night. My date and I ordered drinks, food and made the mistake of getting a hookah too. About 15 minutes after getting the hookah, I was advised by management that our two hour limit was up. I came on a Sunday for brunch and sat at the bar, we did not have reservations so we came around 12:15p. The drinks were great, I had the head in the clouds tequila drink that gets lit up with fire. It was really good! For food I had the chicken and waffles and my date had the steak egg and cheese in a bagel. It was very tasty and came out very quick. Unico is a smaller venue located off of Semoran and east colonial with plenty of parking. The decor is very aesthetically pleasing with several photo ops. I've tried the tacos and the yuca fries- both delicious (not sure if the tacos are still on the menu). They also have Happy hour (tue-sat 6-9) so if it's your first time going that might be a great time to try it out! The bartenders are friendly and make some really good drinks. The last time I went the two DJs that played did a great job of playing a variety of music styles. The first DJ geared more toward Spanish/2000s R&B while the second DJ played more hiphop toward the end of the night. read more

I visited Unico Gastrobar in Orlando after seeing it on TikTok, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. We arrived around 1 PM and the place was practically empty--just one other table was seated. The food menu was very limited. I ordered the steak, eggs, and cheese on a bagel ($17), but the steak was tough and overcooked, the bagel was hard, and although I asked for it deconstructed, they said they couldn't accommodate that. My friend ordered the French toast, which turned out to be just one slice--not worth the price. The hookah was also disappointing--very weak. The only highlight of the visit was the drinks. I had the Lost in the Clouds cocktail and it was honestly the best part of the entire experience. I was blessed enough to visit this spot twice in one weekend the first time I went for their happy hour on a Friday which I truly enjoyed. There is a DJ the music is amazing. It is such a relaxing, lounging spot. I truly enjoyed our server. she is very very efficient and then the cocktails I had or the bad habits of the head in the clouds. The head of the clouds was so delicious and so cute. I did try their shrimp skewer and then I tried the chicken skewers. Those were the most amazing apps I've had in a long time. I went ahead and try to go to the brunch and I was very unimpressed for me. I was a bit too rowdy. A decent spot, and heavy on "decent" spot to try out if you live locally, within 15 minutes of the venue. If you live more than 15 minutes away, there's more opportune locations in Orlando to spend your money and have better quality service. The female servers are spectacular, the male leave much to be desired. The location is fine, the space is beautifully designed, and the food is decent as well. Where they lose you is the inconsistency on pricing. I've been to this location three times, every time I've ordered the exact same drink from top to bottom, and each time I've paid a different price. If you do decide to give this spot a shot, I encourage you trying it during happy hour, and even then, I encourage you to look at your receipt before you tap your card. On two separate occasions they tried to charge me for a drink that I never ordered. When I brought it to the waiter's attention, he got extremely defensive. If you do not specify which particular alcohol you like, they're going to charge you for the most expensive alcohol in that tier. They also have a lot of service charges that are not attached to gratuity. If you want a minimal time with maybe one cocktail, this may be worth the moment, but other than that, I would keep it pushing. read more

Came to this bar with a girlfriend of mine. Saw some cute reviews on TikTok and wanted to check it out. We got here about 8:30 not many people were there, which was nice. We were immediately sat and our server came over to take our drink order. We pretty much purchased one of everything. Price range is typical for drinks $10-$15 for specialty drinks. I also purchased some food, the portions for the price is SUPER small, but it was good. I had the beef skewer & tostones. The skewers was 2 really small sticks of chopped up beef which again, a little pricey for the amount of food you're getting. The tostones was good, again price was okay. Drinks was really good, really hit expectations. I had the One and Only, so good, on the sweet side. The aesthetic and ambience was really nice. Beautiful for Instagram & fun for a fun night out. How have I never heard of this place?!?! Was invited here by a friend for a local comedy night and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It was night time when we went and I must say the lighting inside was exqusite! I absolutely love the decor and the way the lighting was inside. Seating for this place is also very limited due to the amount of people that can sit but I do believe that this place also doubles as a club just by the vibes it gives off, the way the DJ was playing tunes that made you just want to dance and for the fact there was a bottle service menu. All in all my group had a great time here. We stayed for about 3 hours. The food was Tapas style so be sure to read the menu clearly just so you understand the portions you are getting. I had their beef empandas which were pretty good and fair for the price I rate that a solid 7/10. I also had their Shrimp Scampi *Skewer* which was pretty good but name on menu needs to be changed due to the fact you only get one but it was very good I give that a 9/10 needs another sauce option than aioli which I fear comes with a majority of the food (Im dangerously lactose intolerant) but otherwise the shrimp was juicy and delicious and left you wanting more. The drinks we had were good but not really strong which depending on who you are that could be a good thing but we like our drinks to taste like there is alcohol inside. Service here is decent but Im not going to lie it seemed on this night they were short staffed for the amount of people that ended up being there that night and it was hard to tell exactly who was an employee at some parts due to no cohesion in their uniforms. Went here for a birthday celebration on a Friday. The place is decent sized and it has a very decorated ambience to it. That is aesthetically pleasing. The design is very floral and you can surely get more than enough pictures for you and your group. The happy hour (daily 6-9pm) is probably one of the best in Orlando with it being five dollars for classic cocktails and seven dollars for craft cocktails and the menu is pretty extensive. I did not get a chance to try the food, but it is somewhat tapas style, but the presentation is definitely there. $10 for hookah is also a price that you're not gonna find anywhere else in Orlando or maybe even anywhere else for that matter. The host/hostess and promoters were very kind and patient however it felt like they were understaffed, which is my only complaint. It seems like it takes forever to get a drink, but I do understand that the bartenders may have been overwhelmed with the happy hour.
