I am writing this review based only on service from the gentlemen that came to my home, not scheduling the repair... Frank and Ray came to my home this week (and arrived early btw!) and had my washer working in no time. They were friendly and professional and quickly got the job done. My Samsung washer was acting up and stopped working. I called Samsung and they said Unique Repair Service would contact me. They did, and we made an appointment for today. My window was between 12-2, they said my technician would call me 15 minutes before he got here. Let me tell you, Unique Repair Service should be extremely proud of the technician they have working for them in the south suburbs. He called before he got here. He was on time and extremely courteous. As soon as he walked in the door, he placed his boot booties on and went directly to work. The technician diagnosed the problem in less than 5 minutes. Worked on the washer for around 45 minutes and got it working. I'm extremely happy with my service and I highly recommend him. It's great meeting someone who is skilled at their trade. Went through Unique for a repair job that was covered by an extended warranty...my warranty company took a while, but Unique did a great job when they were finally approved. Gerardo was our tech and did a great job; he didn't leave until he tested and made sure everything worked. I just had Aaron and Nick leave my shop. I own a dog grooming shop and we use our washer and dryer constantly. I'm very pleased with everything about my service today!. They were extremely prompt, courteous, efficient and quick! They came in they fixed it and they left. They explained to me the problem and were able to fix it in no time flat. You guys suck. I made 3 attempts to get my icemaker fixed on my fridge. I specifically requested an after 3 PM appointment. If you can't do it just say so. Apparently Nancy and Monica do not know how to schedule correctly. When I called back the 3rd time Janice was rude and condescending. I asked them if they would be able to meet my needs this time or did I need to call Frigidare and find another service provider...she said sure I can transfer you. I ended up calling someone else. We scheduled an appointment several days out with the manufacturer and then Unique called me back to change the date and time. They gave me a day and the timeframe they gave me that day was 8am to noon. I blocked all that time out of my work day for the appointment. Then I get a call the evening before from an automated system to confirm my appointment for 1pm to 3pm. I was livid. I got a hold of a live person who kept trying to push off the original appointment timeframe on the manufacturer. So, when they wouldn't even try to give me back my 8am to noon timeframe we had to reschedule another day. Lo and behold, they gave me a... 8am to noon timeframe again. Then she explained that that is just a request time and that they really will just call the evening before with a 2-hour timeframe that could be ANYTIME that day. My god... a company that is actually worse with appointment times than Comcast! So... let it be known that you can only make an appointment for a specific day but you will NEVER know the time until they call you the evening before. read more

Frigidaire told me that Unique Repair couldn't come to fix my frig for several days but when I called Unique they cheerfully found me an open time just 24 hrs later. Better yet Johnny, the worker called 4 hours early to say he could come right then, so I'm happy so far. He made my mountain of worry into a molehill, and had the thing fixed in 15 minutes, then took the time to level the frig and give good advice on preventing a recurrence. They were called out to ky house 4 times for my refrigerator last year it started in may and it wasnt fixed until Oct of 2018 here it is June and I'm having the same issue again they charges 130 to come out to asses the problem and then told me it would he another 112 to xoke hack out to fix the issue well needless to say the issue still isnt fixed I called the manager told them my problem with the tech was told oh well we charge the fee to come out to tell you what the problem is well thats fine of they gave me the correct diagnosis which they didnt. I called another service provider she sent her tech and the problem was fixed within the week and it cost me another 60 dollars. I could mor have another year like last year of loosing food and bad service do not use them they are horrible!!!!!!!!! read more

Stay away from this repair company if you value service and follow through. I bought a new refrigerator from a big box store and it immediately had an issue. The manufacturer sent me to unique repair. They came out, diagnosed the problem but didn't have the part. Ordered the part and one week later came back. Installed the part. Didn't fix the issue and ordered another part. One month later part hasn't arrived. No call backs nothing I have to call them to see if part came in. Really? I begged them to call manufacturer to find out. No they don't do that. Sorry. Just wait and we will be happy to call you when it arrives and fix your appliance. FIRED! Should be 0 stars. Never again. Samsung warranty requires you to use their service and unfortunately the only one in the Chicago area is this place. Next time I will simply buy a new (not Samsung) dryer. The initial charge (which you have to pay before they even schedule the appointment) is $109.00. You are told that this includes any initial services and then anything above that is an additional charge. So a $160.00 cost for a part you should only pay the difference, right? Nope. The whole part, up charged 300% is what you pay. Half the cost of the dryer for repair for a part that actually is $55.00. They should just be honest and say that you are charged the initial feel for arrival regardless and all parts are extra. I will also note that the "service window" is all day and you get multiple and confusing messages. I was initially told that I would receive a call for a window but I received an email saying they would come in the morning. Then a call that they would be coming in the evening. Then, the morning of I got a call from the actual technician saying they were on their way. What if I wasn't home because I was told evening? This is just poor business strategy and they clearly are relying on the fact that Samsung requires that you use their services for the purpose of the warranty (which by the way covers nothing). read more

This company came out 3 times to repair my refrigerator. First time they didn't have the parts second time they replace one part and decided another part was broke. I went from my Ice Cube's not staying cold to the ice dispenser broke and the water spraying sideways. read more

My warranty for my washer and dryer have Unique Repair Services as their contactor and I wish they weren't. They are difficult to get ahold of to schedule, they don't call before arriving and show up late. It took them three times to finally attempt to fix the issue with my washer. I had to endure stupid excuses for the problem with the thermostat("Using too much detergent, not the right setting for hot water, not priming the hot water{???}, too big of a load,etc.") and not getting the part promptly. The dryer was even worse. It took them five times to attempt to fix the problem and even then, I requested another company come out to fix it, which they did and that is another review. Luckily, the machines were under warranty. One time when the dryer was being fixed, the repairman was giving his two week's notice over the phone. Not very professional. read more

I cancelled the appointment which they charged me for in advance and then charged me a $15 cancellation fee, claiming they told me about it on a recorded line when I called. I was concerned about the negative reviews, but since my Samsung was still under warranty, I did not have another option. I was very pleasantly surprised. The company did everything exactly right. I received a call the night before providing my two-hour window, and the technician, Ray, showed up exactly on time. He performed the repair quickly and explained everything. This is the worst service company on earth. The guy leaves and 1 hour later, my refrigerator is not cooling, nor even running! A call to the customer service people led to being ours for it to cool, and then after pointing out that it is not even running, I was transferred to a manager, but instead it went to voicemail I have already disputed the $538 charge with my bank. Avoid this company. And I was not even provided a receipt, which I need for my home warranty claim. These people did not do one thing right. Call anytime during the day, and you are very likely to get the "general customer service voice mail" telling you to call back during business hours...in the middle of a weekday!!!! Further, the voicemail states we will review your message within 48 hours. Two days to review a voice mail message? Insane. AVOID THEM!!!! read more

The technician who came from Unique repair to fix our appliance couldn't figure out which electrical wire went where in the appliance and nearly caused a fire, trying to test them in an external electric power cord. He just left saying that he couldn't fix it because our appliance was not installed properly. Awful experience. read more

If I could give this company a zero star, I would. I am not sure why their rating is so high on Google. Samsung sent in my request for the company to fix my dryer. First time the technician came, he told me that Samsung ordered the wrong part for the dryer and sent in pictures and his service summary to Samsung so they can send him a new part. He informed me that I should hear back within 72 hours. Unbeknownst to me that the technician closed out the case stating that the issue was resolved. I called Samsung to request yet another service request. Unique Repair sent another technician out. The repair man told me that he couldn't figure out where the issue was coming from and that he will send in his service summary to Samsung and that at this point, he is recommending I request for a new dryer or refund but that I have to initiate this request and not him. To my surprised, I received an email from Samsung canceling my request because the technician couldn't duplicate my issue. After numerous calls to Samsung via phone, email and twitter, Samsung finally agreed to another service call. A lady with Unique Repair called me and was very rude refusing to send another technician out because they couldn't find any issue. Samsung agreed to send out another company. The guy was extremely nice. I explained the issue to him. He wasn't afraid to get on the floor. He searched and searched and searched and within minutes figured out the issue. If you are looking for a company with rude customer service and inexperienced, then Unique Repair is the company for you. read more

Reading the other reviews, I am guessing, speculating, stating my opinion that this place stays in business by being contracted by warranty providers and denying the claims. So, my story is we have a Samsung refrigerator (last time I will make THAT mistake) which we bought in December. About 2 weeks ago (so only 6 months into the 1 year parts warranty) a shelf breaks. The two studs where the screws are attached broke under normal usage. I call Samsung and they call these people. Unique calls me and they give me a day they will be at my house the next week. No time, just a day. They said they will call me with a time. As with many others on here, I never got a call from them until I get a call from their guy who says he is going to be late. Good thing he was late, or he would have gotten to my house to find no one there. I told him I never got a call of when he was coming and he makes some excuse blaming "the office." He gets to our house and, without even taking apart the broken shelf, he tells me it is not covered. I ask why and he turns to the warranty section of the owners manual and first says it should be a claim against the delivery agent. No, it was fine for 6 months until it broke. Having failed at his first excuse, he then calls it cosmetic damage. WHAT? The shelf no longer functions as a shelf. How is that cosmetic damage? The best part is that, in his report he writes that the shelf is broken and loose. Yes, I guess that is cosmetic. He then quotes me a price of $350 to repair a shelf. Bye. I have been following up with Samsung and that is whole different story. But, as for Unique Services....STAY AWAY. I cannot imagine that they treat people this way and still stay in business without a steady supply of screwing people out of warranty coverage referrals. read more

Wish I had another option. I had to use Unique Repair Services due to purchasing an extended warranty from Home Depot on an LG range. I called them to schedule an appointment and told them I cannot get home from work before 4 p.m. The customer service rep told me they don't schedule appointments for specific times, and that the best she could do was to schedule me for the 2-5 p.m. slot, but that she would make a note that I don't get home until 4. The day of my appointment I get a call at work at 2:11 saying the repairman was at my door and had waited 15 minutes and would now be on his way to his next appointment and that I would have to reschedule. Absolutely horrible experience with this poor excuse for a company. I can not believe companies like Samsung contract with such awful companies. I had a store copy of an invoice scanned to me which I then scanned to Avani Patel. She told me that they needed an actual bill of sale. Mind you the invoice had an invoice number, purchased and delivered date. Serial numbers showing it was under Samsung 1 year warranty coverage. I called Samsung, after hours of reviewing the information the assured me they would reach out to Unique as well as adding to be repair ticket that our unit was in FACT within the 1 year warranty (by the way we have a 5 year) outside of the manufacturer warranty. She said this was not "uniques" protocol and they would not honor the service? So in my opinion SHAME on Samsung for doing business with the negligent folks. Avani was snide, crass, and rude. She offered no help. I have a gamily and children I was without an oven for days, and oven I paid a lot of money for. Samsung said they had no reason to believe they would not be paid. It has been 7 days, and my oven still has not been serviced. I have spent hours each day, sent multiple emails. made multiple calls to be treated like I do not deserve my unit to be repaired because according to Avani what we had supplied is not enough? After reading the other reviews and wow I have had the same experience with the service. This will be the fifth time if they are coming out to service my refrigerator. The girls in the office are extremely rude. The manager Mike doesn't return your phone calls. I am so disgusted. Samsung refrigerator stopped getting cold enough, both compartments were 15-20 degrees above normal. After calling Samsung they sent a request to this company. The repairman was nice and seemed knowledgeable of the issue. The replacement of the main board and freezer sensor was performed but not under warranty coverage on a 3 year old fridge. I had to leave town for 3 days right after the repair and when I returned both compartments were warmer than the room temperature and all food was spoiled. I called and left a message with Unique Repair customer service then called Samsung. They provided a confirmation number for the order that was sent to Unique Repair. I have not heard back from anyone and its been a week. Unique Repair made the issue far worse, wasted my food, and charged me for it. Stay far away from this company, at-least if you have Samsung appliance. This was a horrible experience. read more

Samsung contracted with this company to fix my new appliances. They called me to schedule an appointment and this is how it works.... You request a time frame and they will TRY to accommodate you if they have other requests in the same zip code (ok get that). Then you get an automated call AFTER 7:00 pm the night before to confirm 3 or 4 hour window for the next day. So....they expect people to wait until the 7:00 pm to determine if/what time to take off work the next day!?! I wonder if they allow their employees the flexibility to just take off work whenever they feel like it with no notice?! I highly doubt it!! NO THANK YOU SAMSUNG. Stay away from them. I had to pay first for technician to come and inspect the Samsung refrigerator. When he came He gave me an estimate of more than 800.00 but not for everything, He said that if I wanted for the refrigerator to make ice then it will be another 200.00 just to replace the part plus labor ofcourse,He also told me about other parts that I might need and by the time He was done I could be paying 10 times more than buying a new refrigerator, it was like a setup, to give me a  real high price to make a lot a money with me or if I didn't want to go ahead with then they will still be making 129.00 just for tell me that I could be paying 10 times more of buying a new one The sad part is that Samsung customer Service referred them to me. So advice, find your own repair company after checking all the reviews don't just believe Samsung or other brand, they could be getting part of the cake.  Scammers!!! Not surprised that Unique Repair have such bad reviews. Our dryer company dispatched them for a repair under warranty. Given an 11-2 window guy calls me at 1045 telling me he'll be there in 5 minutes. I told him hes early and someone won't be there until 1130 at the latest. He said he can only wait 10 minutes. Called the dryer company and they confirmed that he would wait until 1125. Well guess what, someone was there at 1125 and Unique Repair was not. Outstanding service for making and confirming appointments, but you'll be sorry they did. The repairman came twice, and each time did damage to our property. The first time, he dropped his drill and gouged a hole in the wood floor. He didn't say anything about it. I discovered the hole after he left. I just figured he was a nice guy so I'd forget about it. The second time, he cracked the interior of the refrigerator. I noticed it immediately and brought it to his attention. He told me to call the office, at which point I also mentioned the floor. Funny thing...they admit he damaged the floor but claim the fridge cracked all by itself. They find it impossible that during nearly 2 hours of heaving, dropping stuff, and growling to wedge the new parts in the unit, he leaned on it and cracked it.
