Absolutely terrible company. I requested an appointment on July 7th and was given a slot on July 11th. I was called the day prior and was told I had to reschedule for the 15th. I was called on the 14th and was told I had to reschedule for the 21st. I told the worker I wanted to speak to the supervisor, and I was told she would reach out to me promptly. By the 17th I had heard nothing. I had to call the company four times to get through to the supervisor. I guess that's how they view people that are bringing them business, that they can't be bothered to talk to them. The supervisor said what had happened was unacceptable. I then asked her what they would do about it, and the answer was nothing. I guess the only service this company is good at providing is lip service. Do not book through this company read more

Back in July, I submitted a work request to Samsung for my washing machine. They had Unique Repair Services contact me to set up a date to come to look at my machine. Twice Unique Repair Services contacted me and said they had to cancel my appointment because "there was no tech in my area". In order to set up my appointment I had to pay a $119 dollar deposit. After they cancelled my appointment the second time I asked for my deposit back. It took several calls and weeks before they finally refunded my deposit. I just want to say I felt this was very unprofessional. Why schedule an appointment, when you don't have anyone available to fulfill your commitment. read more

We had a Tuesday appointment this week with them to have our new Samsung washer serviced. Tuesday morning comes. The window we were given the service guy will come is 8am-9am. Just a note that we waited for a week and I took a day off for this. We received a call from their office at 8:08 am saying their repair guy is only allowed to wait for 10mins and their guy needs to go their next appointment and they can just reschedule us. We saw red because WE NEVER RECEIVED ANY CALL OR TEXT BEFORE THIS EVEN FROM THE SERVICE GUY HIMSELF! My partner goes running downstairs (we live in a building) and sees a van pulling away thinking this is the service van. He tried to get the driver's attention but failed. My partner calls the office back- multiple times! A total of 5 calls because with the first call they hung up on him. After 4 more attempts to connect with them, somebody finally answered and my partner asks to have the guy come back. Now this time is JUST 8:13am. Not even 10 mins have passed. The girl on the other line says oh no they cannot do that as the guy is on his way to next appt. Seriously?! 1) WE NEVER RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION THEY WERE AT OUR DOOR (if they really were at all!?) we have an intercom at the door and we were even not buzzed! 2) They said they can only wait for 10 mins?? Office called at 8:08 Then Technically service guy is still supposed to be waiting until 8:10, right? You give us one hour window to wait and I took time off for this day and they cannot come back even when it was not even 8:15am yet when we spoke with their office?!? 3)They cannot come back? Why?? Do they have to be at their next appointment 8:30am on the dot?!? Let's say they were able to service us - do they have to leave by 8:30am because they really have to be at their next appointment on a specific time?!? What kind of logic or thought process do you guys have? These were so lame and dumb reasons and you expect us to just buy these stupid excuses??! This establishment is on the short list of Samsung authorized repair facilities. I called and was told that they can have a technician at our house the following day. The service fee would cover the diagnostics and any small repairs. I agreed and paid the fee over the phone. Several hours later I received a call that they overbooked and the tech would not be able to come for 4 days! Overbooking and 4 days later don't jive but it i what it is. The tech came out, looked at the issue and within a few minutes was out the door since the whole door for our microwave needs to be replaced. A few days later the door came and the tech was out and again was out within a few minutes since the door just snaps in. The bill presented had over $200 in installation fees even though I was initially told that small jobs would be covered in the original diagnostic fees! I called and tried to talk to a manager but one was not available and would get back to me within 24 hours. Lies! No one ever called or followed up. I would NOT recommend this company. read more

Since the company hasn't responded, I'll reposting from 7/11/2021. Is less than 1 star an option? On June 7th their technician arrived, made a minor repair and the accidentally dropped his plastic glove into the motor.  Once the dryer was turned on to check his repair it caught on fire.  He called out for a fire extinguisher, which was immediately brought to my unit by our maintenance supervisor.  The technician then claimed he didn't know what happened.  My maintenance guy reached into the motor and brought out the burnt glove's plastic finger tips.  I then told the technician he needed to own up to what happened. He did. He apologize for the "inconvenience" and left, never to be heard from again.  On June 7th and 8th, I made 8 calls to Unique Repair with no response, 6 voicemails and 2 live person messages. On June 9th a 1.5 hour call with Samsung to create a ticket number of 4159740815, only to be told Samsung has requested for Unique Repair to contact me. Finally Unique Repair called me at 5:25pm, left a message and has since refused to call me back.   I've since had to replace both my washer and dryer as Samsung no longer makes the dryer which fits the stacking bracket to the washer.  So what should of been a 200.00 repair is now well over 2500.00.  My last voice mail was left on June 14th, a lawsuit will be filed. Unique Rair should not be allowed to continue their egregious behavior.  Samsung should not be recommending them as a service provider. read more

Extremely disappointed with the service I got. I reported LE and 4E errors (4E being the more common one). Two techs came out. Nice guys and professional. But all they did was run the diagnostic (this didn't return the error) and asked us to run a small load; I could've just googled how to run the diagnostic myself. I told them the error was happening all the time. Their recommendation? Make sure to unplug the washer every now and then, keep the door open to keep it dry, and clean the filter at the bottom. This is the IT equivalent of "reboot your PC and delete your internet history". They didn't even try to troubleshoot anything else. I previously used this company a few years ago and had such a positive experience that I recommended them to multiple people. However I now recant everything positive I have ever said. I used this company on 6/28 to repair my dishwasher. On top of the flat fee of $119 to come out, my total cost came out to $466 which I was fine with. What I was not ok with was the additional $485 they randomly charged me three days later. Every call I have made goes to a customer service operator that tells me they well forward my request to billing and that someone will contact me but no one has ever returned my call. Their manager Nancy Crawford is a coward and does not answer her phone nor return calls. Their customer service rep David is a liar as I'm still waiting for his call back over 24 hrs later. Their other customer service rep Dana is rude and condescending. Unique Repair Service is ran by cowards and inept lying thieves. Avoid this company at all costs. They will not live up to their promises. They will cancel your appointment at the last moment. I have a Frigidaire appliance under warranty. Frigidaire initially sent out a different company. That company said that the issue could not be repaired, and the unit needed to be replaced. Frigidaire needed a 2nd company to verify that, and assigned the "ticket" to Unique Repair Services. I called Unique Repair Services and confirmed that they understood the situation. They said that the earliest they could come out would be a week later. The afternoon before they were supposed to come out, I received a auto text stating that they had canceled my appointment because they were still waiting on a part. Then they did it again a 2nd time a week later. When I called them, and explained that no parts were needed, and they were just verifying the issue, and even if they did need parts, the other company had already tried that, and they were able to get the parts in 3 days, so why would they still be waiting on parts, they quickly changed their approach. Now they stated that the reason that they couldn't come out was because they didn't have a tech available in my area, and I should probably call a different company. I After I hung up, I waited about 10 mins and called back in, and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor tried the same "waiting on parts" approach, and then said that my file had already been closed, and I should try a different company, and just hung up on me. The company has no integrity or ethics, and aren't interested in taking care of their customers if they can't make a big enough profit off them. AVOID THEM. They will start you off with a great "We take care of our customers" sales pitch, only to not live up to any of it in the end. There's too many honest and good companies you could call instead of a company like Unique Repair Services. read more

My Samsung icemaker stopped working after 5 years of having it and, of course, the warranty is expired! The job was assigned to Unique Repair Services by Samsung at no cost to me as they are aware their icemakers are faulty. I was promptly scheduled with Unique Repair Services, however, after waiting hours after the scheduled repair time, I texted (no response) then called the office inquiring of the technician's whereabouts, which they did not know!!!! I then received a call stating we need to reschedule due to technician having a family emergency. I was not happy--felt Unique Repair Services should have been proactive in reaching out to me earlier instead they wasted my time and had no concern. The next day Ray arrived as scheduled, replaced my ice maker. Ray immediately noticed issues w/my install as the doors were uneven, there was a tab on top of left door still there (which allowed warm air inside of refrigerator, icemaker thought door was open) and it was not leveled properly--all causing issues with the icemaker. So, I had to pay for the gasket to be replaced, to have doors adjusted and unit leveled in a second service call. If this means my icemaker will operate from now on--I am okay with that even though I purchased/installed by Abt. All in all--I believe I am satisfied with my repair from Unique Repair Services because of Ray. He was friendly, knowledgeable and careful not to make a mess. Window time 8-12 showed up closer to 1. Technician did apologized for being late.I appreciated that. The technician I had did not do a thorough inspection. Had a guy inspected smoke plastic smell odor. Told me my inside vent was to greasy and that was causing my odor wanted to charge $300 to clean with damp cloth. (My warranty did not cover cleaning) Didn't check any wiring/connectors, had easy access to openings the display. I cleaned the vents myself the plastic smoke odor still present. Opened the display sure enough melted burned wire and connector. Takes awhile to get a service scheduled don't waste your time. read more

Beyond bumbling incompetence. Lowe's contracted these unprofessional boobs to fix my refrigerator because it was still on warranty. They sent a man out. He diagnosed the problem and said he would return the next day. Nobody showed up. Nobody cancelled the appointment. He phoned and said he would be back Friday. I took a day off work to meet him. Again, he didn't show up and didn't cancel the appointment. He made another appointment a few days later. This one he kept. But he had no intention of making the repair. He said that corporate office wanted him to re-diagnose the issue. So now that he diagnosed it twice, he said he would return Monday. He did not. And nobody called to cancel. There were at least two more appointments with exactly the same result. To say that I was furious at their amazingly gross negligence is an understatement. The worst repair service in existence. They came to diagnose our refrigerator and said it's going to be $525 to fix. We said ok do it. They came back and said more things are needed, and it's $1000 now. We said ok just get it fixed. They come back again, and say it's going to be $1500 now to fix it because of some more things. Then we wait 2 weeks for them to do nothing, and today they call back and say the refrigerator can't be fixed, go buy a new one. Unbelievable. I used this company to repair my Samsung fridge water line that makes ice. The company repaired but when repairing caused damage to my Harwood floors and basement ceiling. Water leaked everywhere due to water leakage. Basement ceiling is also damaged and my hardwood floors curled. See attached pics for proof. Seems like this is the one "claimed" by the business. ------------------Update on 11/16------------------ My bank issued a refund for the services not provided by Unique Repair Services based on evidence provided (which showed URS did not diagnose the issue they were paid to). URS then retained a collections firm to collect the money refunded to me, who threatened my credit history if I did not pay. Very shady business practices given the service paid for was not provided. If you value your credit history and working with reputable companies do not do business with URS. The things they've done (and failed to do) are about as shady as it comes. Check out the reviews on yelp (2.5/5) and angieslist (1/5) which are far less complimentary as of 11/16. ------------------Original review------------------ Called Unique Repair Services as a Samsung authorized repair center for my Samsung washer. They sent a representative out who said my issue was that my drain pipe was too high relative to my washer, and said that buying a pedestal for the washer ($250 + tax, on top of the fee from them) would resolve the issue. I did so, it did not resolve the issue. They came back, and then diagnosed the issue as the drain hose being too deep into drain pipe. This again did not resolve the issue. The third time they committed to sending a new field agent out to check out the issue, they did not. They sent the same agent (bear in mind this was all over a period of a month). The agent then came, and said there was nothing they could do, that it was an "installation" issue they could not address and they didn't know what was going on. Contacted URS for a refund several times, no reply. The supervisor responsible, Denisse was presumably out running a training the entire week and could not be bothered to reply to my several voicemails and messages. No refund given. Would not recommend URS at all, all they've done is taken my money, and made me spend even more on Samsung products that didn't resolve the issue. They have not been accountable, responsible, and as far as I can tell knowledgeable. read more

Had them out in April for the Electrolux Washer repair and they were great. Then I started to get another message and requested them to come out again. They completed the diagnostics and noted that they needed to get another part and will schedule it. A few days later my schedule appointment was cancelled due to the part being order, which is understandable and waited. In the my wait period I received another error message and called it in to report it. Fast forward today and 2 weeks no washer and called for a status. The door wouldn't open so I had to call them back out. Two weeks later the tech came back out and stated the same problem was happening and contacted Samsung. Samsung stated "since the tech already switched out the panel once, they would not send another panel." The washer never worked once after the first time the technician came out. I left a message for a manager at Unique Repair and never heard back from the company. I called Samsung to follow up and request a different service repair company and according to Samsung, Unique Repair is also the only company in the Chicagoland area that Samsung outsources for repairing their appliances under warranty. Had a warranty repair on my Frigidaire dishwasher. Warranty issuer directed to Unique for appointment scheduling. Told them the error code I was getting and they decided to wait until parts were available before scheduling, but only a couple day delay. No point in having someone come out and confirm what I could see, so that made sense to me. Their scheduling service is great - they first confirm a day, then 24 hours before they provide a couple hour time window. On the day of service you can see how your tech is progressing on prior appts. Charlie was running ahead so I was ready when I got the 15 minute auto-dialer heads-up. He was prepared and polite and got right on it. He was efficient without seeming rushed. Knew what to do, had the tools and parts to do it, could not have gone more smoothly. read more

our air conditioner was blowing warm air , so upon calling Unique Services they sent their tech to look at our system in order to resolve our issue. After an attempt to diagnose our AC the tech stated that we have a leak in the system and in order to find the leak it would need about four pounds of refrigerant plus a dye to determine where the leak is occurring. total cost $1500.00.... We said no to the tech. I was not about to pay that much for a Wild guess as to the problem with our AC. We called for a manager and got a hold of Jim @ 941-213-0108 and explained what the tech had said to us. Jim assured us that he will send his best Tech Manager to our home and have him look at our system. long story short the Manager found a computer board set at max air blowing. He adjusted it to factory recommendation. The drain line was buried in the ground so he he fixed it to drain properly. 1 Leg of the high voltage on the bottom of the contacted loose causing a short circuit. After fixing all these things it was then determined that my AC did not have a leak in the system, however, these three issues were causing the AC to fail. The unit now needs servicing again for the same issue and because I called today which is 4 days past the 90-day service warranty-Unique Repair Services won't honor it.
