I had a deeply frustrating experience with this company while planning a PCS move from San Diego, CA to Kansas City, KS, and I would strongly caution others before using their services. Bobby, who helped initiate my estimate and original move date, was great, but unfortunately, it went downhill from there. There was a clear lack of professionalism and disregard for their own stated policies. I called to move my pickup date earlier by one week, well within the timeframe outlined in my estimate, which explicitly states there are no fees for changes made more than seven days in advance. Despite this, I was charged $250 via Zelle by a representative (Chad or Collin), and I never received updated paperwork reflecting the change. It all came off as very scammy and as I am in the process of purchasing a house and moving across the country, I was CONCERNED. When I followed up, the experience only worsened. Michael, who was polite on the phone, acknowledged the charge was incorrect and said he would investigate and call me back, he never did. I then spoke with a "manager" who contradicted him, claimed he didn't have the authority to say that, and also promised a follow-up call, which never came. Four days later, she called, not to resolve the issue, but to ask for an updated inventory list, seemingly unaware of our prior conversation. I made multiple additional attempts to resolve the issue with no success. No one followed through, no one took ownership, and I never even received updated documentation confirming my new pickup date. Ultimately, I canceled my move and decided to handle it myself. If a company can't follow its own policies, communicate transparently, or uphold basic customer service standards, it's hard to trust them with something as important as your personal belongings. Before canceling, I requested the return of the $250 improper charge, knowing I likely wouldn't recover my $1,500 deposit. I was told I would receive "an email with a solution", one I am still waiting on. We hired Gateway Express who subcontracted with United Moving Services to move us from California to Arkansas. United would not deliver our belongings after our request for 3 weeks. When they did deliver our belongings, they lost our dolly and close to 20 other parcels they loaded on pickup. They damaged more of our belongings than I can list. They also dented our refrigerator and left us to put everything together that they were responsible for setting up. Absolutely unprofessional office staff and management has not called us after multiple requests via emails and voicemails. This company moved my items cross country. My items arrived 30 days after I was told they would and were badly damaged by the movers. I paid extra to insure my items but United refused to pay claims, denying the damage was caused by them. They also damaged my property while unloading the trucks. I moved couple times already and I have what to compere with! I'm very happy about the service and price I received with United moving service. Two friendly guys Alex and Edward came in time and started to work right away! I like that they wrapped up my large furniture pieces with blankets and plastic wrap, ensuring that none of my furniture got dirty or scratched during the move. I had boxed and packed up all of my belongings already, except for my clothes, which were packed in the free wardrobe boxes the company provided. They moved me quickly and were so organized! DO NOT FALL FOR THE SCAM!!! I used to have multiple pictures of the way they delivered my stuff...one of which being that my mattress arrived UNCOVERED HANGING FOLDED OVER THE BACK OF THE TRUCK! Even if they had sent it, it wouldn't have compensated for their horrendous service and treatment of my belongings. Khan & Baur were incredible! We accidentally scheduled a UHaul rental for the wrong date and were moving out on Aug 31st--the busiest day for moving of the year. After calling dozens of rental moving truck companies we resorted to trying movers. I called several locations and they laughed me off. I left a voicemail at UMS after finding them on Yelp and they called me back within a half hour. I told them we had a 3 bedroom home at noon and they were at our house by 2pm (with holiday traffic!). We had more things to move than I lead on and the guys still got it done professionally, securely, and quickly. They even brought their own plastic wrap and wrapped anything remotely precious without being instructed to / any additional fee other than the hours worked. Great service all the way around. Its a moving job I needed over the weekend, where I had a 16 footer Penske I needed help to unload to my apt. Appointment sat at 1pm and Art called me and let me know they (deal including 2 guys for 3 hrs) were there around 12:30pm. Tons of boxes but it was done about 2 and a half hrs later. They took the time and care to bring my stuff up, nothing broke. Art and Khan even went out on a limb to help me return the truck after the jobs done --- their boss must had something to say about it since that took them so long to get back; to that, I wanna say it again: thank you guys! I called United Movers five days before my move, and I was immediately quoted the best rate I'd heard among the four places I'd called. I spoke with Mike, and he assured me that I'd have three movers ready to go, with all materials paid for and no hidden fees - and he wasn't kidding. The move happened yesterday, and my three movers (Mark, Brett, and Chase) got to work quickly and were incredibly comprehensive. I had one or two pieces of furniture that were difficult to get out my front door, but they got the job done and handled everything else very quickly. Moving out of my old place took some time. Moving into my new place was fast and easy. The three movers were very polite and professional, and I'd be lucky to have their help again in the future. I don't often write reviews, but this is an excellent company, and it's hard to find careful, honest, hard working and skilled movers at a reasonable price, and these guys fit the bill! I haired them to move my stuff from my full storage unit in Hollywood to a new larger storage unit in Culver City, and to stop at the house in Culver City to pick up more items to take to storage on the way. They charged me a very fair price, although they brought 3 movers, when I had originally requested two, but it turned out that three movers worked out better for me, and the time constraints we were working with. They didn't waste time, we're helpful in packing items the needed to be packed for transport, and brought along several large wardrobe boxes that I was able to use during the move at not additional charge. At the end of the move, nothing was missing or stolen or broken, as had been the case with other movers I made the mistake of hiring before. So, I would recommend these guys highly, and would use them again in a heartbeat! read more

I was asked to write a review by the two guys who helped me out this last Sunday. I called Saturday night at around 8pm - obviously I had not thought my move out. United moving company picked up my call and agreed to help me move the following morning. I appreciate how promptly they agreed and organized my move, despite it being so last minute. As promised, they arrived at the Public Storage where I was moving my things from. In fact they were early (crazy I know)! I was only moving a studio size room worth of things so I know it wasn't a hard move. Having said that, they were very meticulous and careful with how they handled my things. There was a point where they didn't come down to the truck for about 20 minutes and I was getting worried. I went up to check on them and they were carrying my glass table top like it was a living thing - which was honestly pretty hilarious. I am torn on giving them 4 stars or 5 stars, because of this - the move took almost the entire 3 hours, despite the number of things I had that were heavy being very limited (the largest things I had were an empty dresser and my mattress). My initial expectation was that they would be done within 2 hours, but maybe I'm just being unrealistic. However if they were to have rushed it, maybe I would've complained that they weren't being careful enough with my things. Because of this I've come to the conclusion that I'll grant the 5 stars. All in all I am very pleased with my move. For anyone's reference - I paid $270 total (there is a minimum 3 hours charge, I paid cash so it was $79 an hour, and I used their $20 for $50 deal. There were some miscellaneous costs like gas that they charged me for which ended up in the total of $270). I would recommend these guys if you want a careful, responsible, and diligent moving company! read more

We waited an hour because of the traffic (I understand the traffic problem in LA but my previous moving company could alway make it on time). One mover is good. We even help to load&upload by ourselves so that we won't charge more time. They also charge truck gas fee and double the time on the road (and they drive slow) we choose this one cuz our previous moving company is fully booked. For the same amount of load, when we move out, I got charged 4 hrs without gas fee and we even run little over 4 hrs. read more

Nikolai and Roslon were my movers this past weekend. Even though it took them 6 hours to move one bedroom, kitchen and living room worth of stuff, they did a great job! Didn't realize how much crap I had lol...anyhow, they were very nice and efficient. It was raining cats and dogs that day, but they were able to protect my furniture really well. I can't recommend this company more. After researching and reaching out to a dozen different companies about a move I had coming up 10 days later (from a crowded 2BR apt to a house), United got back to me immediately by email with a quote that was significantly cheaper than everyone else. We chose to go with four movers instead of two, and the rate was still great. Communication was easy, simple and to-the-point. In the past, other companies I had used required me to give a specific count of boxes (before I had started packing) and a checklist of furniture. With United, all they asked was a general room layout. On the day of the move, they showed up exactly when they said they would, and all four movers were friendly and enthusiastic - something that was very appreciated considering how miserable moving is. Total move lasted about six hours, and they wrapped, loaded and placed everything carefully and thoughtfully. They even dismantled and re-assembled a very challenging bed that was missing some pieces. Nothing was damaged or missing. Would use these guys again in a heartbeat. read more
