The woman saw me looking in the drawer and said to me snidely, "miss, we don't do that, if you need help ask." She didn't even ask what we had been looking for or offer to help. We were completely shocked by her openly hostile tone and left immediately without the several items we had been planning to buy. I get that she didn't want us in that drawer, but her reaction was unhinged. I'm 43 and don't think I've ever been spoken to this way in any shop. I later found and bought the notebook I wanted on Amazon.
