Only Five Stars is inadequate--but I'll try to explain what I mean. This team went ABOVE and BEYOND for us. I thought it was exceptional--but I understand now that this is their typical day's work--seeking to accommodate the customer and help make the transition from one home to another the smoothest and most stress-free possible. Darrell drove over an hour to meet with us prior to our moving day and examined our 2000 square foot home and its contents to give us a very reasonable estimate for the move. He answered all our questions and reviewed options available to us. On moving day, things went SO quickly--even though they had to delay (thanks to me) and wrap some items more securely in order for them to survive the move. Within less than the predicted time frame they were fully packed, securely loaded with special care given to items that were fragile. In our case, moving from a home into temporary storage, we knew we would need access to some packages while others were good to remain stacked for the long haul. These gentlemen (they really were, 3 very articulate, kind and helpful professionals) took the time while loading and then unloading to sort items according to our needs--the items for long term went to one storage area, and those marked for Immediate Use went to another area. That was SO helpful to us in the long run, you just can't believe. Darrell was there throughout the loading of our contents, making sure things were completed to our satisfaction. His team made great time, no detours, on the way to our destination. Although they worked long hours the day prior to our trip, they were fresh and ready to work on the unload. We had our entire truck load of contents safely sorted and stored away within less than an hour. My husband and I were so impressed with their execution and delivery that he managed a small bonus for them (including a generous tip) at the end of the day! We will be moving again within a year. And let me tell you, ANY time I need a professional move in the future, I will make sure that my FIRST resource is Moving Interiors and Darrell Higgins.

I ended up hiring Move It On Up because they gave me a competitive bid and frankly just seemed more confident in their ability to do the job. We needed to split the move over two days because we wanted to leave our house staged to sell. The first move, they arrived with 4 people and a truck and got to work packing everything. The girls packed and Keith and Luis moved everything to the truck. They literally ran everywhere they went from 8am-5:30pm. The move went perfect and they finished in the exact time they had estimated in the initial walk through. Not a thing broke in the move. For the second move, it was a week later and it was all of the remaining furniture. Keith, Luis and one other guy showed up with a truck at 8am. They moved everything out again in the exact amount of time they had estimated. They were running the whole time like on day one! When it was all said and done, I owed him the exact amount that he had quoted me for the whole move. Everything made it safely to the old house and we were extremely happy with the service provided.
