So this is my story: Hired Universal Moving Company for a 1800sq/f office move. Office fully furnished, 3 computer desks with PCs obviously. We had 4 big and 3 small safes. To be short that was a fully equipped office. The office was being moved to Santa Monica from Sherman Oaks. The guy over the phone "I think Mark" quoted 5 movers. I felt confident with that. So the booking was easy. Now the actual moving: you know moving is not a pleasure and I will lie if I said oh we enjoyed the moving blah blah! No the moving process was stressful even though the guys worked hard. Nothing was broken or ruined, all arrived in one piece because of the professional packing and storing. I don't remember the name of all movers but one of the guys I do remember as he was updating me with everything regularly ( Andreh ). All 5 movers were great they worked non-stop. I had to force them to take a break. The move took 9 hours with just one trip as the truck was big. The job was done everyone happy and exhausted! Price: the total bill was calculated by Andreh as he was the head mover. I had done my calculations prior his. His calculations were $100 less than mine :))) (I don't wanna disclose the total bill, sorry:) ). To make the story short: this is a honest and professional moving company! Hirer Universal to move us from Santa Monica to Calabasas. We had 3600 sq/ft house in Santa Monica. The first day the team of 4 movers/packers came to pack our house. They did a great job packing our stuff and disassembling the furniture. Next day 6 movers with 2 trucks came for the actual move! The foreman was Peter who was a professional mover! The packers had done such a good job that all that the movers had to do is loading the trucks carefully. The loading took about 5 hours ( including our garage and storage). During the entire moving process all movers worked hard. They all were professional movers. They were well trained for such a big job. Unloading: the 2 trucks came right after us and started the unloading after taking a look around in the new place. They all worked hard again. The problem here was that this new place was a 2 story house and the movers had to use stairs which slowed them down a bit but did not stop them! They never complained! We had to stop them so they can have some rest and eat lunch. In conclusion: I am very satisfied with this moving company! Movers were professional and they provided us exceptional moving services! Shopped around a lot for a good moving company before hiring this moving company! My move was 1 bedroom from North hollywood to Glendale I had regular furniture with some fragile. Usually 2 movers would handle it with ease. But I was offered 3 movers as my move out apartment was on the 10th floor. First i hesitated but than decided to trust the professionals! The rate was very reasonable $95/hr for 3 movers blankets and wardrobe boxes included! (Rest of the packing materials were very cheap). The 3 movers arrived and started immediate look around before they would start. As soon as i signed the contract they started the work. They packed everything carefully and professionally. It's hard to do the move when you are on the 10th floor even though if you are using the elevator but the guys were working very efficient! The foreman was Chris who took care of the entire move! Nothing was broken during the move. I was worried about my pictures but all was good when we unpacked. Entire move took 4 hours (elevator slowed down the job!) but I am another happy customer that will refer more business to them! This is a professional moving company! Hire them! read more

Moving sucks! I have moved a lot and never enjoyed it! This time i was like "enough is enough"and decided to hire a professional moving company! Came across to universal moving system on yelp. After getting quotes from different moving companies I chose to call Universal. Chris is a very nice and polite guy, he went trough all details with me patiently. The 4 movers arrived on time prepared for the work and started the move immediately. They did a good job on packing. All packing materials was supplied for free. They did not charge for anything . I had lots of glass and paintings that i was worried about but turns out there was nothing to worry about as Adrian (the main guy) took care of those personally. The truck got to Santa Monica from Sherman Oaks before I got there on my car:) The unloading was easier. My movers were great. When they unpacked and sorted things out i was surprise to see no broken stuff. Most important i was very surprised at the end when there was no hidden costs! Moving is a well-known stressful process specially when you have to do it by yourself! This time i decided that i would rather hire professional moving company to handle my move. The sales guy was nice and explained me what should be done before the moving day (packing, parking, change of mailing address etc.). Now I wanna thank Chris, Carlos, Max and Joe for the great moving experience. They are the best movers that I have ever dealt with. Perfect communication and physical skills. Most importantly they had COMMON SENSE. They did not dragg our furniture on the floor like one other company did last year and caused us a lot of problem with the previous landlord. They covered the floors, wrapped the furniture and boxed the small items. They also provided us with wardrobe boxes which helped us a lot. Universal Moving System is the best also for the prices! I found these movers here on yelp and decided to call them because of the great reviews. I think I spoke with Max on the phone first time while just shopping around for the right moving company. Second time was Chris who actually booked my move. Both Chris and Max are great guys and most important very knowledgable. The 3 movers that came were very nice. They packed my 1500 sq/f house very quick and professionally. They disassembled my IKEA furniture very easily. It took them 2.5 hours to pack and load the truck. Drive was a bit far as I was moving from Santa Monica to Pasadena. Unloading was much faster though. I didn't need unpacking but did need reassembly of the furniture. They did it very fast as well. My experience with this moving company was very satisfying. I am glad that I chose them over the other moving companies. read more

These movers are great! Cam on time, were very friendly, got the job done fast and safe! Now mor details::) Luis, Rene and Igor were my movers who did such a fantastic job. 2 bedroom and a garage! They packed everything with care and moved very safe. My couch did not fit through the doors which made me panic. That was till i found out that my movers had a back up plan for that. They hosted the couch through the balcony. That was amazing. My neighbors were astonished! Some of them came to get the phone number of this moving company as we all witnessed how fast and professional the guys were working. Most important that they do stick to their promise and they had no hidden fees even for the couch. I cannot be more thankful and I cannot recommend them mor for your move! I had a five star experience with this movers from the start to finish! They were very professional. My move from Silver Lake to Santa Monica was made very easy with this moving company. Alex over the phone recommended me to hire at least 3 movers as I mentioned that we had some fragile furniture. He went through all details explaining me how to be prepared for the move in order to make it less stressful and save some money. I got the packing materials from them a day in advance (with reasonable prices). When they arrived (i gotta say they arrived on time) I was not fully prepared so they helped me to do the rest of the packing. They were great, they worked very hard. The other moving companies I called wanted to charge me higher hourly rate which I think is absolutely unethical to take advantage of people ( if you have availability you should just charge the same rate ) . Movers from UMS were very friendly,polite and the most hardworking guys I have ever dealt with . Regardless hot weather they never complained or slowed down . In addition to providing professional service they also gave us bunch of packing materials for free . Literally, they are life savers and good people . We chose Universal Moving because of the straight 5 stars reviews on Yelp. The reservation through phone was very easy. Chris gave us the BEST affordable price ever. We initially asked for 2 movers but decided to add 3rd mover and Chris was managed to arrange that for us, we called him 11pm the night before moving. We are very thankful for that. The movers, Diego, Luis and another gentle man arrived on time, they gave me a call before head. They were very friendly, polite and super fast. Professional movers! They excited our expectations. My realtor referred them to me as he always uses their moving services. The price was reasonable and we decided to give it a chance. We were moving from Westwood to Sherman Oaks, first location on the 3rd floor the new place was ground floor which made things much easier. Movers came on time and started the work immediately. They did pack for us and marked every single box. After loading the truck we went in together to make sure that nothing was left behind. At u loading things were easier. These movers are the best! They were moving my neighbor few weeks ago, I was impressed with the job they were doing! I approached one of the movers and asked their phone number (I needed movers as well). Booking was easy they did not ask for the deposit (usually giving my cc number over the phone does not make me feel comfortable). I requested to have the same movers that were moving my neighbor. Carlos and Adrian arrived as scheduled and worked very hard. Our old place was a bit complicated but the guys did a great job! FYI they have 2 types of pricing 1. ALL INCLUSIVE or 2. Our move from North Hollywood to Innocence was made very easy by this moving company. Universal Moving System is top notch. Our 4 bedroom house was loaded in 26ft truck under 3 hours. Movers were super friendly and professional. They kept working all the time. Movers wrapped our furniture with blankets and shrink wraps which made it very safe to transfer to our new place. ur beds were disassembled and then reassembled in the new place. Alex was the foreman. He worked with other guy non-stop and at the same time organized the entire move. They wrapped everything in blankets, boxed all my kitchen stuff and labeled the boxes. What a great moving company . From start to finish they were fast efficient and professional. My move was delayed because of escrow and they were still able to reschedule my appointment. They took a good care of all my furniture . Everything was packed and moved securely . Their moving quote was the best out of 6 moving companies in Los Angeles .
