Hands down one of my favorite place for Vietnamese food~ Owned by a lovely family, the service here is very friendly and very personal. Through the owner's lovely wife, I learned how to drink Vietnamese coffee properly! You may think that's a ridiculous thing to say but it was very motherly, sweet, and completely unnecessarily. It's the fact that she took the time out to come over and teach me all the finer details of Vietnamese coffee that made the lesson and experience memorable. Not even my Vietnamese friends had taken the time out to teach me! Now the food here is truly unforgettable. I love the bun by far! It's crisp, fresh, and always leaves me full but not uncomfortably so. I love their egg rolls and their spring rolls and the rice dishes are always savory and flavorful. I must admit though there is probably only *one* other place I'd rather go to get pho over this place [because they're cheaper, just as delicious, and portions are just as big], I give this place one more star than the other because they're just sooo sweet and nice here! The service really makes that one-star difference. The prices here are a bit higher than other Vietnamese restaurants but the quality and freshness of the ingredients makes up for it. I'm always down for a place that has a good 'pho' pun in their name. Towards the end of a vacation, I tend to crave Vietnamese food (I'm Vietnamese and from Dallas!) but things usually get pretty tricky because I'm always comparing them to restaurants back at home. Everyone should have a staple for their pho and if I lived in Phoenix, unPhogettable would probably be my go-to place for pho despite some setbacks. The broth is pretty standard and has a decent flavor to it. The vegetables are very fresh and great quality. Unfortunately the meats are kind of "eh". The meatballs were mediocre, the tendons were alright, but a couple of the meats in my friend's "pho dac biet" were really tough and hard to eat. unPhogettable does it's job of satisfying a pho craving though. What I don't like about this place is that there seems to be only one size of pho. Most places have small and large. I feel as if they are wasting a lot of food by giving everyone the same sized bowl. The prices are higher compared to other pho places as well. $9.75 for a bowl of pho dac biet? We're in Phoenix for our annual Baseball Spring Training extended weekend and we're staying in the eastern Phoenix valley. We were planing in trying Unphogettable last year when we were here, but we got sidetracked and it was our loss. The restaurant is in front of an Asian grocery store and we got there a little before closing (at 8p). My wife and I ordered our usual of Spring Rolls and two Chicken Pho's. The service was very friendly and quick. We counted 4 different prople who stopped by our table to make sure everything was OK and our diet drinks were always full. The Spring Rolls were fresh, with a thin slice of pork roast and the sauce was peanut buttery. I like my dipping sauce more on the hoisin side, but these had the first one that I actually really liked that was on the peanut side! The Pho was good and very hot, with the chicken shredded into small pieces, akin to shredded pork, mixed well with the noodles. The beansprouts, cilantro and jalapeno's that came with the soup were just barely enough compared to other soup places I had visited. So we ordered that as well as the egg rolls.. we almost started laughing when the egg rolls come out.. they were served with 2 pathetic pieces of warm iceberg lettuce and no herbs.. wtf?! While the rolls and the fish sauce tasted good they were greasy and without the romaine and herbs, ordinary. The Mi Bo Kho arrived.. I was surprised to see about a half inch of oil on the top of the stew, I like some oil content but this was ridiculous! The stew tasted like it was made from a base and not from scratch.. had this weird fake beef taste. The meat was so fatty and not very well cooked. The meat was so stringy that it got caught between my teeth. We finished sharing the dishes.. what a complete disappointment.. don't worry Da Vang, they have nothing on you! read more

I came here with a party of 7, and was a little disappointed by the cost & speed. $9.50 for a bowl of beef pho (the one with everything) & $5 for some spring rolls? Makes me miss California... Aside from the cost comparison - this place did taste pretty good. The portion sizes were also a little smaller than what I'm used to, but Socal is a little more saturated with Vietnamese food. I took my first sip of the broth, and already my experience continued to get worse. The broth was practically hot WATER. Pretty tasteless, no flavor besides the fact that it was red color, I wonder where they got that from since it did not taste like anything. There were kinda floating tiny pieces of crab throughout the broth but they were so small, you barely had any. I'm midway through my soup, forcing myself to eat it since I was starving...and then I found a PIECE OF PLASTIC in the soup. Clear plastic, a piece as big as my finger....wonder how they were able to miss that putting in my bowl but also shame on me for eating half my bowl and not realizing it. Maybe because all they gave me was broth, and it was just lost in this soup. I ordered some summer rolls to go in case I got hungry, since I did not have much for lunch. My family's Go-To- Vietnamese restaurant! We've been coming in since 2005 (although it's been through multiple owners since then haha), but specifically with unPhogettable, it is a good place! Compared with other places, we enjoy the pho broth. There is a good mix of acidic/saltiness and brothy flavor with it which makes the pho and everything taste really well. It is not too salty/watery. However, your mileage may vary due to taste. So far with our previous visits, the service has been acceptable. Everyone is treated with a smile, and are treated quite promptly. I have found that as long as we customers are treated right, it doesn't really matter (that didn't sound right but oh well haha). Food is good, clean, service is wonderful. try it! There are many places to get vietnamese cuisine here in the Phoenix/Valley area, but we can say that unPhogettable meets our tastes just fine :) read more

I used to love coming here, in fact I was a regular, the food is good and vegetarians can eat here. The service can be hit and miss, but as for me and some I know, we will no longer be coming here. The last time I went the cost of food had instead, we didn't get amazing service as we used to, and the waitresses tacked on a 40% gratuity bill on both checks. We had a group of 4 people on 2 checks and they had their main attention for the entire evening on two large groups nearby rather than us. If it would have been automatic 15% that would have been fine, but I feel heavily taken advantage of that it was 40% for each of us. My favorite local Pho place! The service is always so fast even when it is packed. Sometimes there is a short wait for a table as it can get very busy but this time we were sat right away. We tried this place, as we saw on a *ahem* certain social Tik platform Tok... 2 of our group ordered the Pho chicken breast with chicken based broth with egg noodles, one person ordered their house fried rice, and I ordered Bun Rice vermicelli salad with grilled shrimp & pork. The pho was decent, however the "chicken breast" meat was no flavor at all, so if you don't add any toppings, sauces etc, it was kind of bland. Their fried rice was pretty good as well. Had a ton of peas lol (sorry, we hate peas and just pushed them into a napkin haha). My vermicelli dish was prob the best out of all that was ordered for the night. The flavors and portions were awesome. Good- portions were great for both the pho bowls, rice, and vermicelli bowl. Sides for the pho they brought were enough to add for both bowls, so there was extra if needed. Bad- as someone mentioned in another review, their prices were a little high and we all agreed that that was kinda unexpected. Also, yes they do automatically include that 15% tip on your bill, so for the 4 of us, it came out to almost a $100... (we did get 2 appetizers, but still pretty damn high bill for a pho place, and we drank water for drinks) Will we go again...? Was our first time here. And I wish I could "phoget" it. Very overpriced for the lack of quality. The broth was bland but oily. Adding the mint, lime and jalapeño didn't help either. They have newly renovated this place and the restaurant looks really good. The seating, lighting and the interior is clean and classy. We went for lunch and ordered shrimp spring rolls, speciality dishes, duck pho. The shrimp roll was really good, specially the sauce served with it. The duck Pho was amazing, the duck was cooked really good and the broth made me want more of the noodles. The spice was a little less but u can always add the sauces or jalapeno. I would love to try other dishes and this has to be one of the go to restaurants for the Vietnamese food. There's a restaurant called UnPhogettable but I think it's very forgettable and all of the servers and staff provided fast and friendly Service but the food was mediocre and my $12sandwich was literally not edible. They mandate a 15% tip on the bill I'm not sure if this is legal in Arizona or not I know in other states it's for parties of 10 or more but the server should also mention that at the time they present the bill pho was good but the Banh Mi Was on a store bought Bread had no cilantro on it , very little carrot/daikon and the bread was not crunchy and it was soggy on the inside. Coming from California, we stop by here every year for some pho. Food is pretty good and stays tasty compared to all the California pho restaurants. However this place is pretty expensive for what it's offering. For their special pho going for $16, it offers nothing special. For this same price you get a giant rib along with far superior soup in other places. Pho should be priced at $13, and the other cheaper ones going for $10. The rice dish also is lackluster when it comes to quantity. You get a giant feast for this price even in Orange county pho restaurants with high quality meats with actual bones... I think the owners here got a bit greedy with the price and is riding it out. Probably won't be coming back here again if their price point stays the same and find another place. read more
