Nice selections, but probably wouldn't need to get it a second time. I feel like it's hard to find Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm at restaurants, but they did it pretty well and I liked the fried fishballs they had as I've never had that before. While the Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang came in a decent sized bowl, we would've liked more protein/toppings as there was a bit too much noodles. As we were checking out, they did have fried shrimp chips on the counter they were selling in addition to fried bananas with black sesame seeds sprinkled on top (2 for $5). We brought some fried bananas to take home and wow, that was probably the highlight for the restaurant. Would come back alone for these!!

The young men who can only speak a few words of English took my credit card but he inserted it to the electronic stapler instead of the POS machine. It punched a hole and broke the chip and the tap function. The young men does not understand what he did and kept saying he will pay for it. I asked him how he can pay for my damaged card. He then asked another young men who says he is in charge. I kept asking to speak to the owner or the manager to tell my frustration. I just want to let them know that I have to call my credit card company to get it replaced but the young man said they are not available. He won't call the owner and let me speak to them. After I paid for the meal I left unhappy. I will never return to this place because this place was poorly managed. Update - I just called my credit card company and they said they can only replace the card with a new card number. Now I have to update that card number with all the different service provider that I set up for autopay. It's ridicules how much trouble I have to go through because of their mistake!

I have visited this restaurant many times ever since their grand opening. This is a restaurant I highly recommend to those who are seeking quality, authentic, and affordable Vietnamese food. The restaurant is located within an indoor Asian themed shopping plaza offering businesses such as: a market of international groceries, bakery goods, hair and nail salons, Asian style home decor, and many other options for dining. The restaurant offers casual dining in a simple and modern atmosphere. The first positive aspect of this restaurant is the quality and authentic cuisine. I typically rate Vietnamese cuisine by comparing it to my own family's cooking - and this place has mastered exactly that. Secondly, another great aspect is the friendly and relaxed customer service from the entire staff. They are very enthusiastic when displaying their happiness of your repeated visits and their appreciation of your continued business. The inspiration of my post is due to my last visit just two weeks ago. unphogettable typically closes at 9pm, and my sister had a spur of the moment craving for Pho. Although we arrived at 8:45, they welcomed us immediately. However, throughout our meal came many groups of diners - one after another...after another...It became clear to us that this place is so good that diners prefer this restaurant - during any day or any time. I normally want to avoid a kitschy place like this that white-washes everything. Well, it proved me wrong. This place had the most outstanding service of any place, pho or otherwise, that I've been to, especially on a packed Friday evening. Quick table, ordering, and constantly making sure I was doing good. It took a little longer for the pho, but when it's a packed house, it's understandable. They seemed to work quick and hard there, even fixing up some messed up orders at the table next to me. Had a typical pho tai, which was served already in the broth. Again, understandable to help ease health concerns, but still trying to find a place where I can cook it to my liking. The broth is as the other reviewers have said: flavorless. I had to mix in other condiments, but I did like their version of sriracha. Price point was also a negative as well. Overall, it was a fine place, with the only dings being the price and bland broth, but the service really makes me like being there. I would definitely be open to future visits. read more

We are regulars (look for the loud family of 7), both dine-in and take-out. We've tried several other local soup shops over the years, but this is our favorite. My kids (who are all 10 and under) love the pho bò viên (pho with beef meatball) and actually fight over the com gà nuong (steamed rice with seasoned grilled chicken breast - and the pork chop is equally delightful). When they earn a treat, they always ask for chè Thái lan (tropical fruits, jello, coconut milk & shaved ice). The goi cuon (spring rolls) are delicious - ask them rolled with mint for extra yum. My summertime favorite is any of the vermicelli salads - large enough for two meals, fresh, and delicious. Want more of anything? Just ask. I like a ton of greens (cilantro, basil) in my pho; just ask for more. I also prefer my bean sprouts steamed - again, just ask and they accommodate. It is casual, clean, and the owners and servers are very personable; we're usually greeted by name. It is a good 25 minute drive for us, and definitely worth it. read more

The food here is absolutely PHOgetable !!! How would you compete against restaurant like BOCA7 for their atmosphere / services and Dragonfly for their super delicious pho broth. Pho broth is very bland ( and super sweet MSG ??? ) and the springroll does not have any flavors to it. We were looking for the mints and pickled vegetable like other springroll served at BoCa7, however all we found were shredded letttuce and bland cold noodle. If you weren't the monopoly to sell PHO at Mekong plaza, my guess is that you will not be able to stand this long with this many great restaurant around the Dobson area !!! I was so looking forward to a hot bowl of Pho that was truly authentic. I had seen this restaurant many times as it is located in the Mekong Shopping Plaza where I purchase authentic Chinese, Japanese and Indian ingredients. The Pho was disappointing! The only taste in the broth was 5 spice seasoning, the noodles were abundant but there was literally nothing else in this bowl! Where were the greens (yes they gave me a branch of mint to add myself along with brownish sprouts and way too hot slices of pepper) but there were no mushrooms, no snap peas or beans, no seaweed or anything else that would make this a pretty and tasty dish. Since this is their signature dish, I have to give this place a thumbs down! The service was good, but not enough to redeem this place. read more

After bad experience, I will never return. It is terrible since they didn't meet my expectation and the price is outrageous. The most difficult part of the Pho is the broth (req 16 hours of preparation) and it tasted like water. I had to add all kind of condiments to rescue it but can't even eat it. The restaurant is very slow now and it confirmed what I meant with Asian restaurant. If your fellow Asians don't patronize the place, it is because your food did not meet our expectation. Try across the street to the Rice plate Kim Thanh for their rice dish. It is night and day. read more

After 20+ years of eating Pho and trying every Pho resturaunt between Scottsdale and Tempe, we keep coming back here! The pho is always hot, they use fresh filtered water to make the broth (you can tell in the taste), their vegistibles are fresh with NO small bugs crawling on them (have seen it many of times at other places), and the staff is just so amazing at keeping you water glass filled. Now the best part of all is the Ca Phe Da which taste like a SEE's Carmel sucker mixed coffee and condensed milk. This is a must try! See you again soon! read more

I LOVE how they bring the fresh mint, bean sprouts, jalepenos, etc. with your Pho so that you can put it in according to taste preference. It's so fresh. Love this place! We always order the childrens pho thai and egg roles. This is the perfect amount of food and the taste is amazing. They use filtered water, your water glass in never empty, and the employees always give amazing service. One of my favorites is the iced coffee as it is so refreshing. I stopped in for lunch with two friends of mine that have already been here and had told me how great the Phó was, and that they actually had vegetable broth! I was giving another tip when realized there was no place for it to write in and then I saw the fee. Honestly, the service we received did not deserve an 18% charge. Brought us our food and drink. Never said a word to us or asked if we needed a refill. Disappointing.. The tipping is out of control but this brought it over the top. I will find me another place.

I ended up ordering that and a sugarcane juice and both were really good. The banh xeo was in fact very crispy and had good flavor. I wish there was a bit more shrimps, but it was still good overall. The sugarcane juice was great and had a nice bitter and acidic note from the addition of kumquat. Very yummy and would come again!
