Came here based off the reviews and I have to say, I think Yelp let me down on this one. We got the huevos rancheros appetizer which I didn't love. It was covered in an overpowering chipotle sauce that tasted a little sour. For the chicken and waffle bene, they use what tasted like frozen chicken patties for the chicken. My husband got the untoasted sandwich and it was ok but he was expecting lunch meat on his sandwich and instead had what looked like a piece of ham steak and a thick piece of roast turkey. This place is a gem! I am so happy our friend brought us here during our visit to the area. The small family business atmosphere allows for a more personal touch. Our server was amazing. He was attentive, informative, and professional all while giving us a bit of personality. My wife is pregnant but wanted to try something tasty to drink. The server came over and greeted us fairly quickly. The menu had a variety of options including vegan options which is rare. It's a pretty good spot and breakfast they serve is decent. I ordered chicken and waffle benedict with breakfast potatoes and my girlfriend ordered regular eggs benedict with fries. I substituted waffles in my dish with English muffin and asked for the honey sauce that comes with the dish to be served on the side. I liked the way eggs benedict were made but everything was lukewarm and it definitely affected the way food tasted. I can tell for a fact that nothing was made to order since our food arrived like 3 minutes after we ordered and every single thing was lukewarm. My girlfriend said exactly same thing about her dish. Also both of our potatoes were severely undersalted and I had to drown mine in hot sauce to give it a flavor. It was the most driest French toast I've ever had, I don't even think they dipped it in any batter. It was almost like toasted bread with bananas, whip creme and caramel drizzle. If you guys come out with a batter and let the bread soak it for a few seconds I think you will have something. My husband and I had ordered drinks and I think that was the best thing we had. I ordered a meal for my son and the pancakes were so thick I'm confused as to how a kid would like such thick pancakes. Those were a total waste as he didn't eat any of them. My husband ordered a waffle and wasn't impressed he said it was dry and taste different. I think the icing on the cake is they must have multiple cooks because instead of bringing a complete order at once my food came out in segments. My eggs were first to arrive. Any good cook knows that eggs are the last thing you cook as they cook fast and they get cold quick. So am I'm waiting for my dry French toast to arrive my eggs are getting cold. I got the cookie dough french toast and wow. I usually have a sweet tooth so this satisfied my craving perfectly. It says their challah bread was homemade and it was so delicious all on its own aside from the toppings, you could really taste the difference. It came with two slices and I was concerned it wouldn't be enough but with everything else it filled me up well, I could hardly finish it all. The wait time is not that long depending on the day and size of the party. The day that I went, the wait time wasn't too long. It was about 30 minutes long. We were seated and placed the order soon after. The wait for the food took a while. I ordered the grilled salmon sandwich which was good. I also had a alcoholic coffee drink like an Irish coffee.
