Would give zero stars, if allowed. Just moved in June 2021 from California to Washington. Everything that distinguishes this company from others is a lie: they do contract out all of their services. The whole experience felt like pulling teeth to get the bare minimum level of response and still paid a premium for nothing. They took 5 hours to pack up minimal furniture - we had done all of the other packing - in a tiny, single story house. Disassembled pieces of furniture they didnt need to - bent and manhandled everything else. Half the boxes looked like they had been thrown down the stairs. We had our things delivered 2 weeks after the guaranteed delivery date. Our stuff didn't even leave the original warehouse until I sent a complaint email. Insult to injury, the movers likely stole our TV. It was the only thing "missing" and we had to pay $150 for a TV box that very clearly called out what was inside. Forget recouping cost, the customer service team wont follow up with you... and you're paid cents per lb. I cant even get documentation to make a claim with our insurance. Our crib was damaged (broken bars) and they unsurprisingly refused to reassemble on-site, probably to hide the damage. Terrible experience all around. read more

Fantastic service! I'd like to thank Upline and their crew for their invaluable contribution to our move. Esteban, Christian, Victor and Deren got to our house and imedietly got to work. They had hour house and garage packed and driving off in their truck in less than 6 hours. Two weeks later, It was time for delivery at the new place. A necessary but significant headache in the moving process involves scheduling an in-home consultation for the estimate. Upline Moving sent an expert to our residence to physically inventory our belongings and create the final quote.   Once the estimate was approved, I paid a small deposit to reserve the move since certain circumstances can disrupt your moving plans, Upline assured me they will refund 100% of the deposit charged if I cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup.  On moving day, they sent the team to assist with the services acquired during the contract service. While my belongings were in transit, an in-house team of shipping professionals track the fleet vehicles and can update you regularly on the shipment's progress.  Once the items arrived at the final destination, the movers helped unload, unpack, and reassemble furniture inside the new home. During this stage, I analyzed my belongings for signs of damage during transit and was very happy to find none. Upline Moving was able to store my items at their warehouse storage facility for a few weeks until I was ready to receive my goods, you can schedule redelivery at your convenience. I was pleased with both the courtesy and kindness of the employees as well as the service I received and the cost.  Everything was upfront and honest with complete transparency. Update regarding my review. After posting the review, the sales manager gave me a call. It was a productive conversation. I finally received the refund on the extra hours that I paid for. As I mention before, their employees are nice and know what they are talking about and the movers are awesome. I moved to a new development, so I'm seeing other moving company and comparing them to Upline Moving. There is a huge different. We don't have much of little boxes, but our furniture is heavy (not kidding). Their mover were able to move them from the ground level to our 3rd floor through 2 narrow stairs with no damages. Comparing to other moving company, their mover needs to take break just bring it from the truck to the front door. I'm glad that I hire Upline Moving company. read more

Terrible experience with our cross country move from careless packets to miserable delivery. We went through our house when they "finished" and discovered entire rooms ignored. Packing was sloppy; entire boxes of items just dumped in without packing material. Designer suitcases ruined because they were not protected at all, simply thrown into a moving van. Broken items galore. Their response, you can file a claim which requires the original moving inventory list that they did not maintain. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS. I hired this Upline Moving ( think it was the Hayward office) to move from one floor in my apartment complex to another using an elevator. They wanted to use their own boxes, and charge me for it. I told the guy that gave me an estimate that I did not need their boxes because I had a lot in my storage unit. He wrote an estimate to charge me for the boxes anyway. Since I knew I was not able to keep and eye on everything that was happening, I hired a lady that I hired to help me before to keep an eye on them. She was did not keep an eye on them and was more concerning with cleaning out the refrig and cleaning the apartment even though that was going to be done by the apartment complex and the fee taken out of my security post. I had a really bad case of sciatica, and was sitting at a chair with my cell phone next to me plugged into the wall. When I got up to go into the other room, someone took my chair and my cell phone and disappeared with it. When they arrived to do the move I had most of my stuff pack, but I did not have things in my trunk packed and a spanish speaking mover pick up the trunk with one hand one side instead of two people one on each side. The trunk went sideways, and I heard a loud crash in the trunk. I was so distracted by the pain in my back, I did not pay attention to it. later I learned that the china dolls inside where broken and a copy of the Consitution of the United States that I had for over fifty years was missing. I finally convinced the lady that I hired to keep an eye on the moving, to go get my cell phone. She left but never came back. She knew that I had sciatica and her solution was to tell me to sit on the edge of my tub without showing any concern about where my cell phone was. When I finally got upstairs to the new apartment I found her trying to straighten out the cord on my cell phone charger. I was in such bad pain that I needed to sit down. She has a moving coming and insurance for it through her reality company. When I finally got up to the new apartment all I wanted to do was sit down. All of my furniture was arranged not like I wanted it, and putting it in its proper place was part of the contract. The manager for the job wanted me to sign a paper and I did without knowing what it was. I was really beside myself with pain. I had a thirty year history with sciatica and I thought that I had taken all the procautions that I needed to. After I signed the paperwork they left without un packing everything. I went into my bedroom after I could get up from the couch again, and found my dresser coverd in things that was not suppose to be there. I started uncovering the dresser, and realized that the top of the dresser had been broken with the wood spilt from one side of the dress to the next. When I called to complain, they owner said that the lady that I hired to watch after them did not do her job, so it was her fault that so many things went wrong. When I complained to one of the movers that they took my cell phone he chewed me out and told the manager that he was going to sit in their truck. The company had to pay me a damage claim for the dresser. I guy from the company came back and moved my living funiture to where I wanted to be. This move happen in October of 2018, and it still bothers me. read more

Overall Upline was pretty good. Dale handled the quote for me and he was FANTASTIC. I had to add a few pieces of furniture to the quote after the fact and he handled it in a timely fashion and was very professional. The move was smooth, but their customer service (other than Dale who was awesome) was lacking in my opinion. Upline called the day before pickup to confirm the move and then notified me on the day of before they arrived to make sure that I was ready, which is nice. Upline Moving showed up on time for the move but several of the staff did not have masks on despite the fact that I had made masks available in case they did not have masks. Unfortunately this included the individual who was set to collect payment from me and review paperwork with me. He wore a mask for the signatures at the end of the loading but not at the beginning. It took about 4.5 hours for them to load all of my things. They did damage a baseboard inside but customer service was very responsive in collecting information for that, the landlord ended up not charging me for it on move out so it was not an issue. After Upline took our belongings communication was extremely minimal. I did not receive any tracking information or way to know when our things would be arriving. I called on two separate occasions in the next two weeks but when I called I was informed that they did not know when my stuff would ship and that they would only be able to give me an estimate of when it would arrive after it had been shipped to the destination, and that "we have 14 business days to get it there." I received notice on business day 9 that it was being shipped and it arrived on business day 12, so it arrived within the guaranteed window which was good. The crew who unloaded everything was fantastic, they did show up with masks despite needing a few reminders to keep them on inside of the house when working since my family was inside as well. They were polite and helpful, overall an awesome crew for the unload. They did a great job reassembling furniture. Unfortunately Upline lost three of my boxes and damaged some furniture (total for missing items and damaged items exceeded $1500). One of our dressers had a support beam broken and an entire side panel was cracked, and another dresser had the slider inside of the drawer broken, but they had taped it back into place and did not notify me of the damage.I understand that things happen when moving things, however the customer service interactions after delivery were poor. I was contacted by customer service three days after delivery and told that I would be receiving a call from them in the next week regarding the missing and damaged items. After 10 days passed I called Upline moving since I had not heard back and they took my name and number but did not call me back. I called the following day and was given the number for customer service who was unfortunately closed, so I called customer service the following day. The customer service representative informed me that they did not find my items and to file a claim. It has now been almost three months since then and I was never called again or updated about anything regarding an ongoing process of attempting to find my missing items. It seems likely that they did not really look for them. Overall Upline did a good job packing my belongings and there was nothing damaged other than the two dressers. Their communication after they had my belongings was poor, as was the communication regarding my missing items after the fact. I had to call repeatedly to get the process taken care of. If they had better communication after loading my belongings and followed through when they said they would I would have given another star. I also have to take a star off for the crew not wearing masks at the pickup, during Covid-19 there really is not a good excuse for that, and the customer should not be put in a situation where he or she has to badger staff to wear masks, especially during points where they are in close contact with customers. read more

This is for a long distance move: Know what you're getting - this is a packing service that will take your stuff out of your house and puts it into a warehouse. They then contract out and another company will pick it up and deliver it. When they deliver it, the contracted company will hire random people on the day to unload your stuff. Maybe this is how this industry works, but I definitely wasn't told that. My personal experience: packing was done ok, foreman mislabelled boxes so on delivery most of my stuff ended up in the garage, packers overused packing material (wrapped each piece of cutlery, plastic bottles etc). They also disassembled all my garage racks when they said they wouldn't, lost all the supporting parts and then left them for me to assemble. On delivery day I had to do the inventory as they unloaded - I had to stand their and check off the items. Delivery was on the last day quoted, but they were still assembling the day after. At the end their inventory list shows I'm missing a bunch of items (no idea what they are), boxes were in the wrong place, damaged couch (cut through with box cutter) and dented filing cabinet. And they were the most expensive quote I got, assumed I would get a high quality service but definitely didn't get what I paid for. If you want a service that uses their own trucks and packs and unloads with the same company, this isn't it and they should be clear about that upfront. read more

I felt so much more comfortable with the transparency that she provided in comparison to other agencies who also provided quotes. UPline Moving was great from start to finish. We were still trying to close on our house and weren't sure if we would make the original date we scheduled for the move. Farheen was very accommodating and was able to reschedule us for the following day without issue. On moving day, Sanchez and his team (Carlos and Christian) showed up first thing in the morning. This was our first move in 36 years as well as our first experience with a professional mover. I give 5 stars for the bidding process, communication, the pack up and load out. However the delivery was less than stellar with only two workers handling everything and some breakage and wet boxes. The delivery team seemed to be overworked and somewhat careless as a result. What an awful company to deal with. The sales person was initially professional and closed the deal, carefully taking inventory of everything in our home and providing an estimate (which was $4,000 higher than the other estimate by the way). The day the movers came went fairly well and they were decent about wearing masks and gloves. They came around 8am the first day and left pretty early (around 1pm). The next morning, they came at 8am, took quite a lot of long breaks and then finished (or so they thought) around 4pm. As I looked around our home, they had forgotten several drawers in the kitchen, a shelf of items in the kitchen, floor mats (which I had specifically already asked them to pack) and a laundry basket (which for some reason they moved to a far corner where I had placed cleaning supplies left over to clean the house when we left). They finished packing around 5:30 at which point the foreman (who was exhausted from a long day and ready to leave) wanted me to sign ~20 pages of documents without reading them from his ipad. He would tell me something, show me pages of tiny print and then bring up a big block of white for me to sign. When I told him I wanted to read it before signing it, he stood there basically tapping his toes while I tried to read the millimeter font. When I asked him if I could read it and sign it tomorrow once I'd had a chance to review, he called the initial salesman (Ethan) who proceeded to tell me that if I didn't sign it right then, they would unload everything from the truck back into our home. He then yelled at my husband on the phone when he tried to deal with it and finished by hanging up on him. They gave us a 5 day window for delivery (which seems a bit crazy frankly given that we were moving our family 1500 miles during COVID) and told us they would let us know 2 days before the delivery what the date would be. Then, a few days into their window, they said it would probably be some time in the last few days but they would call us the day before to be sure (not enough time for us to get set up). The day of delivery was almost comedically bad. They arrived at 12:30pm on the last day of their window with 5 people to help. The process was extremely slow, they didn't have protective equipment for our home, they brought a few used booties that wore out within an hour causing the movers to take their shoes off which didn't much help because they then just walked outside with their socks on and came back in the house. They also took forever, finishing the move at 10pm at night with several pieces of furniture not put back together and in the wrong place. In addition, the boxes were hardly labeled at the front end so 25% of them were placed in the wrong rooms which I had to move later. Lastly, the person who was running the move was incredibly rude, someone nearly dropped a dresser because it was too heavy for him and we kept some furniture in the basement because we were worried they wouldn't be able to bring it upstairs without breaking it. And, several of the guys were wearing masks around their necks or just on their mouths and didn't wear gloves. During the course of the move, they completely broke my desk, a kids play table (which should be pretty durable!) and scratched a couch and dresser. Luckily I had purchased insurance separately and was able to get them partially reimbursed. They also caused $1K of damage to our stairwell and (even though the mover took pictures on the way out), they never contacted us about it and have been awful to deal with on the other end. I would not work with this company again if someone paid me. Perhaps they would be fine for a smaller local move but for a larger move, they were completely awful and I deeply regret choosing them. read more

I started with 3 quotes from reputable moving companies for my relocation from Los Angeles to South Carolina. Richard came to my home and helped me with the specifics of my relocation. He was very friendly and professional, and was able to assist me with multiple questions and concerns. I had a very complicated move in 2 parts which consisted of shipping items at different times. I heard many of the horror stories of getting into a hostage situation so I decided to go with Upline because they were the only company that would guarantee their price upfront. This is the second time I've moved with Upline. The first time was from Burbank to San Francisco and the move was very smooth and efficient. So this time,  I need to move back from SF to LA, i decided to use Upline again!  This particular move was even more efficient because they have locations both in Northern and Southern California and the delivery time was super fast.
