Ricky was friendly and helped me right away with my Prius (I bought the car used without a right front fender). He was able to get the fender installed onto my Prius the same day that I called, which was great with my work schedule. After going to many places and being quoted outrageous prices I finally came across this place on yelp and I am glad that I did. I came in around 4:00 on Monday Ricky assessed my situation right away and was able to call for the part on the spot he told me it will be here the next day and that he will give me a call when it arrives. 10 am Tuesday I got a call and the part was there. I didn't get off of work until 4 and I had an hour or so in between my other job and Ricky still worked on my car at 5:00pm 30 minutes before closing, which is very nice. Wow!! Ricky took great care of my car. He made a stressful time much easier. I was rear ended and my Nissan Cube needed a new back end. Nissan doesn't make my car anymore so I figured it would be a long process to get the part and then get it installed. On day three of driving a rental car around, Ricky called and said, "your car is ready." My car looks great. They even went as far to give it a wash so it was shiny and clean when I picked it up. I told Ricky I needed the car back to take my dad to some important doctors appointments and I did not have a rental car. I came back in a week, the work was not started. I had the back quarter panel punctured and torn. Insurance wanted to total my (otherwise pristine) vehicle or else pay an exorbitant amount of money to get the panel repaired. I was lucky enough to have a working relationship with Rick over at Uptown Auto Craft, so I knew better. Sure enough, I took it down to Rick and he said it'd be no problem, he'd get it looking good as new, and that it would take 2-3 weeks. I was willing to wait because I was familiar with his workmanship and knew it was going to be done right (not to mention at a fraction the cost of what the insurance company's body shop was asking for). True to form, Rick exceeded expectations. He had it completed and ready for pickup in one week (five days not counting the weekend), and it was so cleanly done that I cannot even find where exactly the damage had been in the first place. This has been my body shop for the past couple years. I've taken multiple cars here and also sent referrals to the shop. The work is good, for what you pay, but it comes at the cost of a slow turn around time. My experience at this shop has always been good until recently. My Mercedes Benz got involved in an accident. Instead of taking my car to a Mercedes Benz Collision certified shop, I decided to take my car here, once again, because I am a loyal customer. A simple job that was to take no more than two weeks ended up taking over a month to finish. I was given three deadlines and the shop failed to meet all three. The owner could have been upfront about needing a month to fix my car but instead, he mislead me multiple times. Not only did they waste my time, when the car was completed, the job was unsatisfactory. The interior was covered in dust, they didn't even bother to do a thorough wipe down. The sunroof was not functioning properly due to the battery being disconnected and they didn't sync it after the battery was reconnected. The ebrake was completely disconnected, for unknown reasons because it had nothing to do with the repair. The alignment performed on the car was crap and the steering wheel wasn't even centered. I had to spend money out of my pocket to get it done right at Penske Mercedes Benz. The rear door handle was loose due to improper installation. Again, I paid out of my pocket to have Penske Mercedes Benz fix this. Being a loyal customer to this shop has brought me nothing but wasted time, energy and money. Their lack of attention to details makes me question if the car was properly repaired. There is no sense of urgency and they simply take their time. I understand that you cannot rush good work but when you give a customer a deadline, you're suppose to meet it. The shop has failed to meet three deadlines which is just unprofessional and unheard of. Not only did they take their time, I picked up my car with all the problems stated above. So in retrospect, my car was not fully fixed until recently. My car is currently being inspected at Penske Mercedes Benz of the repairs made. Anything that was not properly fixed will be addressed to my insurance company. read more

This place is legit. Rolled up in my V DUB with a large scratch and a dent. Some employee was the first on the scene and rubbed my car and took a good look at it. Back in the office he wrote up an estimate that included hours, parts, paint etc. Super professional. Then walked in Ricky the owner. He was super nice and looked through the other guys report and even knocked off a couple hours of labor because he knew the job wasn't going to as long as the other guy thought. I told him right now I just wanted the door unjammed and he said no problem I can do that right now. He grabbed this metal looking spatula and unjammed the door.. for free! He gave me an estimate around the same price as other places but since Im a broke kid I decided to wait. A few months later I called him and he still had my report on file and I came in the same day. He said it would take a week. Exactly one week later he calls me and says its ready! The price was the exact amount on the estimate too! Even down to the penny! Car was looking super fly. I can't say enough good things about Uptown Auto Craft. We were unfortunately victims of road rage that resulted in our car being keyed. Ricky was very warm and helpful, he took a look at our car and he even found additional damage that we hadn't noticed before! Communication between them and our insurance was quick and painless. We were given a 14 day estimate, and they would have finished within a week but were delayed because they were waiting for a part to be shipped to them. In the end it took 13 days total, which is still better than their original estimate! They had some leftover paint and touched up some old scratches completely free of charge. In the end, our car was returned to us looking even better than before the road rage incident! Then to top it all off we were given a discount, according to Ricky, "Because I can." Summary: I sincerely hope I never have to bring my car to a body shop again, but if I do, I'm bringing it to Uptown Auto Craft.
