Meric and his manager Engin were so kind and patient answering my questions (I don't hear well). I expressed my need to watch my salt and Engin thought to put the Parmesan and sauce for the salmon on this side in case they were too salty (they weren't, just delicious). We got the chicken burrito and the shashuka Benedict: 1) The shashuka benedict was pretty flavourful and packed with tomatoes. But because it was so tomatoes-forward, the tomato juice made the English muffin really soggy. The potatoes that came as a side were meh. 2) The chicken burrito on the other hand was not flavourful AT ALL, and it was really dry. My sister and I also really like the shakshuka, which is freshly baked in the oven and served with perfectly crunchy toast on the side. Even my picky parents and niece loved their food! Mom enjoyed the Prawns Thai Street Bowl, dad the Nashville Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and my niece the orechetti pasta with basil pesto. Portions were very generous. Crispy chickpeas, tender chicken, yummy hummus, great sweet potatoes (especially in season), healthy cauliflower and kale-grain mix. It's been so addicting that I haven't ventured to try any other entrees. My husband tried the chimichurri bowl, which he didn't like, but he also agreed the chicken healer bowl is delicious. I didn't really like the mac and cheese at first, but after adding salt and pepper and mixing the breadcrumbs, it fixed the blandness and soupiness and grew on me. Their lemonade is great too. My husband and I both had salads (him an Asian Salad with prawns and me a Beet and Citrus Arugula with salmon) and we both felt they are two of the best salads we e had in a LONG time. First off, we got take out and the wait was pretty long. The staff weren't too friendly either. Some guy in the kitchen also didn't have gloves on. He was the one who packaged the meals but also added some toppings to the meals bare handed. The interior and outdoor seating were nice though. What you see posted for two meals was almost $50. I recommend you go to sweet greens instead for a salad, the one here was tiny. The best part of the Thai shrimp salad was the shrimp. Otherwise, the peanut sauce was too thick and their ingredients didn't mix well with one another. The shashuka was "ok". Do you see those 4 pieces of thinly sliced sausage? That was an additional $4. They really skimp out on their portions, will not be back because I cannot justify these prices. We love the idea that they are sustainable, however for that price you can definitely get a better meal in Burlingame. read more
