    Taco Salad
    Kayla G.

The flavor of the food was delicious but the salad's serving size was so small for $20...I got the taco salad expecting tortilla strips. When I opened the box I saw tortilla chips that took up half of the box so the salad itself was tiny. When I pay 20$ for a salad I expect the serving size to be decent at least...yes I did substitute the black olives for avocados for 2.50 as well and tipped on a take out order but still an outrageous price IMO for such a small salad...

I stopped in to place a pick up order. Because it was a bigger order, I asked if they could put names on each item so that we can divvy up the food a little easier. They were more than happy to do it, but here's the best part. They never asked my name to put on my order... So they just wrote "nice guy who made the order" on my items! Totally worth five stars for that alone. Lol Actually, the five stars are well deserved. Food was great. I really loved the French onion soup and my sandwich was excellent. Five star employees, five star food. Will be back.

The food and the atmosphere is great. The dining room is nicely decorated with a trendy vibe. The food was delicious, the veggies in our dishes was fresh, high quality. I had the Thai lettuce wrap appetizer, it included about seven large romaine lettuce leaves to wrap the fresh carrots, cabbage and chicken with delicious Thai sauce in. The portion was large, plenty of ingredients for all the lettuce leaves. My husband had the trio dip appetizer with queso, guacamole, and salsa, the guacamole had a bite to it, very tasty and fresh and the tortilla chips were hardy. He ordered the special, another Mexican dish which he loved and I had another Thai selection, the Thai Chicken Bowl served over lime cilantro rice, so good! Our server, Lilly, was delightful and attentive. All in all, a wonderful meal and a great restaurant!

Smaller place but don't let that fool you. Gotta say, this is a hidden gem I. Appleton. Everything we order was delicious. They definitely give you plenty. All of the staff was super friendly. I got one of their bowls and didn't finish it. It was super good but with the quinoa, that fills you up quickly. Hubby got the tacos. He said they were great just a bit messy so beware! We will be back again

    2$ Tuesday/Thursday tacos

Man I LOVE this place. I had been driving past it for years saying I wanted to try it and finally got a chance to. After finding out they do taco Tuesday/Thursday and a buy one get one half off apps for happy hour, I'm usually here at least once a week for tacos. The staff is super friendly (just don't have unrealistic expectations when they are swamped). Everything I've had here has been delicious. The chefs know their stuff. And I once did a BOGO margarita (also a Tuesday/Thursday special) and had it as a double in one glass and it didn't taste like pure alcohol. You should definitely stop here at least once and you'll want to come back once you do!

We have ordered for pickup and have dined at the restaurant since its opening. We have been impressed with the quality and quantity of the food/drink. My dining partner loves the chicken-pesto panini. I've tried their banh mi sandwich (with a tasty corn chowder) and their poke bowl. I enjoyed both of them. We've also sampled their giant pretzel; which was very good. The restaurant doesn't serve mixed drinks but offers wine and beer. Try their sake Bloody Mary! It was very busy during our dine in meal. The staff wore masks during their contact with patrons. Our waitperson was knowledgeable and offered good suggestions for our meal. The manager also did a nice job of checking on tables and greeting patrons. While the restaurant is a little higher priced, the quality and quantity of the food are acceptable for the cost.

I love Draft and I was super excited to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood. The good - we had really fast service. So fast, that we were still eating the giant pretzel when our dinner came. The okay - The food didn't have much flavor. We had been at Draft a few days earlier and had the pretzel and it was sooo good...but this pretzel was just okay. I ordered the steak and shrimp skewers and they were served with broccolini and rice. While it was good...none of it had much flavor. My husband ordered the mac and cheese bowl with brisket and he even asked if they had given him pulled pork...i guess we will never know. The bowl didn't have any flavor. My daughter loved her egg roll bowl. Tiramisu - the star of the show, for sure! The manager did check in with us while we were eating and the service was fast. Maybe it we need to give it another chance when they have been open longer...and see if they were still working out some kinks. Also a bummer that they don't have tap beer...and do not have a full bar. Just wine and bottled beer - no cocktails.

We had a private room with pre-set menu that included bread service + soup or salad. Do not skip on the fresh bread with compound butter. I never knew how delicious bacon Parmesan compound butter would be. I want to be a butter snob now and only crave compound butters moving forward. :D Food presentation is beautiful but taste is what wins me over. The tenderloin is magnificent. All of the flavors are in perfect symmetry - the sprouts and mashed potatoes were dynamite. Having broccolini as another vegetable was even better. This is a generously sized dish and easily makes for 2 meals. I can't say enough positive things about my first Fratellos experience and very much look forward to coming back for another taste.

The employees were warm, friendly, and professional, and they seemed to know exactly how often to check in without interrupting our meal. They spaced out our drinks, appetizers, and entrees just the right amount. Our server Andrew was particularly great. We had a soda flight of their craft sodas for a super super reasonable price, and every single soda was spectacular. We're spoiled in the craft soda department by virtue of living in Wisconsin (Sprecher, Potosi, etc), but this was definitely the best craft soda we've had. Even the wacky flavors like blue raspberry were rich and flavorful--they didn't taste overwhelmingly artificial. I cannot recommend their soda enough, although I imagine their craft beer is pretty good too! We also had a delicious mocktail, which always goes a long ways in impressing us. All of our food was reasonably priced and so, so, fresh and delicious. The Bavarian pretzel with the beer cheese was heavenly!! We loved our entrees as well. Even something simple like the fries were perfectly done--fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside I don't think we could have asked for a better experience. Everything we had their was top notch, and despite the number of things we ordered, our bill was not very high at all (about $50 for a mocktail, a craft soda flight and a soda pint, an appetizer and two entrees.

We went to one of their limited dinner services. I had called the day before and reserved a table. When we were quickly seated at a table by the entrance, I admit being suspect of how our visit would go. The hostess asked if the table was alright and pointed out a heater by the table. Not only did it keep us warm, it made our table feel cozy. Despite it being very busy, I'd describe the restaurant as being a great place for a special date. Our waiter for the evening brought great energy. His timing was great and his knowledge of the food served was helpful. Without hesitation he suggested the Napolitana (which was phenomenal). He also made the restaurant less pretentious than I had assumed it would be and it definitely wasn't pretentious). We ordered the empanadas and beet salad as appetizers. Great picks and I'd return just to get the empanadas! As previously stated, I had the Napolitana. My dining partner has the quinoa bowl but added chicken to it. No complaints for either. We finished with two desserts suggested by our waiter. Although truly full from our meal, we polished off the tasty treats. I'm going back, just disappointed I've haven't visited it before now.

I picked the chicken pesto sandwich since I normally eat chicken sandwiches for lunch and opted for the house potatoes. Our waitress was very loopy and loud add seemed overly happy about her job. My colleague thinks she was yelling at us whem she spoke, but I believe that is just how some people talk. My chicken sandwich was good...but the chicken breast seemed like a machine formed patty and it was small. I was expecting something a little fresher, like a whole grilled chicken breast for the price. Instead, this seemed like a pre-made patty from a vendor they just heated up in an oven. The house potatoes were simple and pretty good though. They add cheese and herbs and spices to these to amp them up. I can't really speak for the breakfast or cocktail program, but their music was pretty good.

I'm just kidding, I always have more to say. ;) But, in fairness, it's a great little spot that's kind of tucked away about a block and a half off the main strip (College Blvd or whatever it's called). But, it's a hidden gem worth searching for! We were made aware of this place thanks to the kind woman working at our hotel. We were in town for a game at Lambeau, and we heard that there was a shuttle from Rookie's to the field, which we definitely wanted to make use of! (That's a whole other review, but let's just say, it was an experience I'll never forget, and one I would repeat in a heartbeat!) The crowd here was clearly Packers fans. But, in their defense, they didn't make us opposing team fans feel threatened or not welcomed. Quite the opposite! Once they realized we were going to be respectful of their place and their folks, they welcomed us! The food really is good, especially for the money. It's one of those rare inexpensive places left in this country, where a pretzel appetizer easily feeds a family of four! LOL! I wish there weren't just two of us, because we also ordered boneless wings and cheese curds! Everything was hot and fresh, and it all tasted great. The drinks were large, inexpensive, and cold. No complaints at all. The service was also really wonderful, with friendly staff and very efficient servers. Like I said, nobody gave us a lot of grief for being from out of town. But, we could tell right away, this was a "local spot" and for a very good reason. Locals and regulars definitely make up the customer base, but they keep coming back for all the other reasons provided: good food, good drinks, and very reasonable prices. Example: I offered to buy a beverage for a very nice person who was incredibly helpful to us, specifically in arranging our spots on the shuttle bus. She was drinking a rail Old Fashioned. You know what that cost me? $3.50. That's not a South Park reference. That was what I paid for a rail cocktail! Anyway... if I'm ever in Appleton again, I'm stopping by. This really is a diamond in the rough, and one well worth your time in searching for.
