Ima cut him some slack because he looked like he was 16 and he could of been going through something but.... you DO NOT CALL PEOPLE BRO! I don't know you, nor did my friend know you to talk to us like we were your friends. He was talking so fast and basically rushing us to order it was annoying as hell. Granted i was hungry so i just dealt with it since no other place was open in the plaza. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he was having a bad day or going through some personal sh** but if not Retrain your whole staff. If you read this kid. I worked in fast food at a young age and dealt with real life problems too. But i never brought it to work with me! Along with the 3% surcharge (for what?- minimum wage is almost $20/hr now.. entry level jobs requiring 4 year degrees start at $22-$25/hr), I ordered a bag of 3 chocolate chunk cookies for $11 and only received ONE! High robbery. Wish I could give zero stars. Will definitely not be coming back to the Carlsbad location. Very disappointed. read more

We have been long supporters of this restaurant, since when it opened in Del Mar Heights and now frequent the Carlsbad, CA location. Food prices have nearly doubled since they opened but we still go there as the food quality is consistent and very good (and everyone has seen impacts of inflation). Last night we visited and ordered with a busy crowd as normal. My wife went to the restrooms to find no toilet paper and a generally dirty bathroom. We asked for the manager to report this and were told none were present but the employee made sure it was addressed promptly. There used to be an hourly standard restaurants followed for bathrooms, I am not sure what happened but it was addressed. Lastly, the braised Beef and Mushrooms was mostly rice, and short of the protein and mushrooms/carrots normally present. They also add a 3% surcharge for benefits on each bill, but this is posted where you check out. read more

Super disappointed in food tonight. It's been so inconsistent. Last time it was good. Tonight the chicken was so dry and over done that neither of us could eat it. Brussels under cooked so hard to eat. Not one speck of bacon in them either. Charged for dessert but it wasn't in order. Called but phone just rang. Called again same issue. I guess they are busy. The food is Fantastic! So much variety. Eve thing from steak to salmon and everything in between. But the best part is the service. Latest experience was ordering one of their world famous mango tarts. We needed to order one for a birthday party the following day. The kindest person, Matthew, took care of us. He explained how the mangos weren't quite ripe but that he would personally handle it. It was amazing and we told all our guests how awesome Matt was and to head down to Urban Plates!
