Every Urban Plates is popular but this one is definitely the most popular one I've been to in a while. It's located in a busy shopping plaza so although there's plenty of parking you could end up parking kind of far and walking. There's a nice outdoor fireplace and indoor/outdoor seating. I met up with a friend here on a Tuesday evening and it was hard to find a seat for two since there was a large party taking up the long family style table inside and all the booths were taken up. We eventually found seating but next to the large party that was kind of all over the place. Food was great, we had the chimichurri steak with mashed potatoes and beets and carrots and it was delicious as always. My husband and I always order to-go from this urban plates and their food is always so fresh and amazing (plus their tomato soup is dairy free and delicious). But today I went in person for the first time with my teacher friend and YURI made our experience even better! She helped my friend pinpoint the soda she remembered she liked and helped us with menu items and even checked in on us later! She was such a sweet person!! The portions here are so large and yummy. I ate a side salad, side sized bowl of soup and only had room for one chicken tender! I love this place for leftovers and their hummingbird cake is delicious. I frequent Urban Plates via online orders (via Uber Eats or as a Urban Plates club member) and walk-ins during my lunch and/or with my family. The menu never disappoints - especially when we want to be mindful of eating clean macros (protein, fats, carbs, etc.). Our favorites include all of their steak selections, grilled chicken, chicken tenders and bowls - particularly their Braised Beef w/ Mushroom and Moroccan Chicken. For group orders - we love the chicken family order, steak family order and sides are plenty including rice pilaf and spinach dip. The actual location for dining in is also wonderful. I didn't even stick around long enough to order/eat food so I cannot speak on that. I patiently waited in line behind two other people and after they ordered another man walked up and started to place his order. The cashier looked at me and proceeded to take his order and get his drink and accept payment. After they completed their transaction she asked how she could help me. I said yes, was I in line? She said yes, but sometimes people get confused and just walk up (referring to the man who had just cut). So I have to let people cut me in line out of their own confusion???? When people walk up and attempt to order all you have to do is point them to the end of the line. Because if I have to confront this person about skipping the line then it is probably going to blow up into a bigger thing than need be. Common decency. Common etiquette. I discovered Urban Plates last month and was thrilled. I can't walk and go to pick up stuff, so finding someplace like this made me excited because I'm a little exhausted on having the same old, same old, delivered. (Side note, I was bummed I couldn't take advantage of the $5 plate pass if you pick up). Everything I ordered was great, especially the cage free chicken & polenta. I was pretty impressed. Earlier this week, however, I decided to try the chicken tenders to see what the fuss was about. I ordered the 2 tenders meal, classic crispy. Unfortunately, I received the hot version. I wish I could do spicy, but due to several reasons, I no longer can. They had to go into the trash. I don't think many people know about this but the Grilled Grass Fed Steak is halal!! The burger and braised beef although is not. The steak is delicious although sometimes it could be salty hence why I knocked down one star. The salmon is also really good and sides are delicious. read more

Great, wholesome food! I've ordered Urban Plates twice during the quarantine to celebrate my birthday and months later, my boyfriends birthday (side note: omg we've been in quarantine that long). We wanted to get food that was a little more upscale but also a bit on the healthier side! Urban Plates has yummy food that feels good for you! I ate a LOT but didn't feel too guilty cuz it didn't sit in my stomach like a brick. My favorite thing on their menu is the Chimichurri Steak! It is obvious that the steak is high quality and every time, my steak has been cooked to perfection. The chimichurri sauce is just great too and I DOUSE my steak in it! Just wonderful! The brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes are wonderful side choices!!! The brussel sprouts has nice acidity and sweetness (can't forget about the bits of turkey bacon) and the mashed potatoes are creamy and velvety. I also really enjoyed the mac and cheese! The first time I had it on my birthday in April, it was my least favorite side. It didn't have any flavor or salt and overall fell flat. But when I ordered it again in October, MAN WAS IT GOOD! I don't know if they changed the recipe, but I could NOT stop eating it! I've also had the seasoned potatoes which to me were average. I felt like they could've potentially been better with some more salt and a little crisp. I do understand that food gets soggy during the delivery process so I don't ding Urban Plates much for that. And if you have space for dessert (or even if you don't), order the banana cream pie! It was SUPER GOOD! It wasn't too sweet and I really enjoyed the flavor of the banana. I loved it so much I made my own banana pudding the following weekend. But Urban Plates was definitely better. Love you UP! I'll be back for some more steak! read more

Update: the company is great! They reached out to me saying they'll work on resolving the issues I had. So far I've gone back I think 2 or 3 times trying their other hot dishes. It's super fast, convenient, and affordable and one dish feeds me and my boyfriend. We've tried beef and mushroom braise, chimichurri chicken, and curry tofu and vegetable braise. The ones I've tried so far have a delicious unique flavor and come out pippin hot! Just got Urban Plates for the first time. I ordered Morrocan Chicken Braise with a side of Mac n Cheese. Omg the chicken was sooooo good. It was juicy, tender, and flavorful. I would definitely reorder it. However I gave 3 stars instead of 5 stars because I was disappointed that the Mac n cheese was barely warm and the extra bread they gave wasn't warmed either and it tasted burnt. read more

The service was great; the restaurant was kept extremely clean and we did not feel crowded or rushed.
