Very happy with our barn door for our master bathroom. We got a latch for it to lock the door for privacy and added a soft close. The soft close is a really nice extra touch but honestly the door closes fine without it. Candi is easy to work with and contact. Initial plan was that everything will be ready in 8 weeks. But we got our door in 5 weeks. I am looking forward to working with her again in the future to do some wall designs. read more

Heres an updated review for everyone wondering about the chargeback outcome and I wanted to address Candi's response. Chase just sent us copies of everything Candi sent them... to make it short: She sent over a "new" invoice that we had never seen - luckily we had kept copies of the actual invoices she sent us. I would say I was surprised, but after our dealings with this girl... I am not in the least. Nothing is beneath her. They also sent over what looked like a warranty/terms and conditions agreement - you guessed it! We never received a copy of that either - good thing she left the date on when it was created on it!!! LOL. If you are going to be dishonest and create false documents - you may want to make sure that the sequence matches (invoice) and you remove the date so that it shows a date before our case started, not after. The truth always comes out. A word of advice to Candi: Next time this happens, and it will - small businesses are always going to have little issues that need attention. Just be honest. Say sorry, and ask what it's going to take to fix the issue. Had you done that from the beginning - we wouldn't be here on social media talking about all this lying, its embarrassing, and totally unnecessary. If you had just fixed the door or refunded our money and responded to our text - we would have been more than satisfied and probably been referring you to the rest of our neighbors. It's not worth it to save a couple of bucks when you are trying to grow your business... you lose integrity, and word of mouth is everything. read more

I was so excited to get our master bedroom wall done. I wish I had done more homework on the companies before choosing Urban Wall Design. I only saw Candi once and that was the initial visit to look at the job and give me an estimate. If I had a question, it would take at least two attempts for me to contact her to get a response. A few months after the wall was installed, the seams started showing. Candi washed her hands of the job once she was paid. I now own a wall with seams down it and no one to fix it. The original painter that painted it won't return my texts. I am extremely unhappy. Customer service is a zero!! Do your homework! Make sure the company you choose stands behind their product. Contacted Candi while our new home was being built. We gave her the specs measured from the model home, and sure enough, our house was not built to those specs (they relocated an air vent which ended up being in the way of the track for the barn door). The builder did absolutely nothing to help us, but Candi and her installer came through and gave us a beautiful barn door! The husband and I absolutely love it and every time our friends come over, they're in awe at the door! My husband and I were looking to put a barn door on the entry to our bathroom, we had a specific idea in mind and wanted to make sure we were involved with the design process. After doing a lot of research we found Urban Wall Design. I called and spoke to Candi and immediately I felt like she understood exactly what I was looking to to. She had me send her some pictures of doors that I liked and also wood colors. Once we had decided upon the design I sent her videos of the bedroom so she could make sure that the colors matched. We live in Los Angeles so we are quite far away from Candi so this made it easy for her to see our room and furniture. Terrible attitude. Submitted for a quote on their website, followed up with a call and email, a week later, as there was no reply, I called to find out the status and Candy said that she is waiting for a quote (this is a week later). I commented that it must be nice to be in a business so busy that they cannot get a quote back to the customer even a week later, especially during tough economic conditions. She rudely said, we are not good fit and I should go somewhere else for my business and I am known to be a nice and patient person. Candy, if you are having a bad day, don't take it on your customer. Got a great deal on a door from Candi as it was a return from another customer. Love the look of the weathered finish she created. Unfortunately the door was crooked and caused issues with the glide. Had to remove the crown molding on the floor on one side of the wall in order for the door to glide across the wall opening. I brought it to her attention and she said the door may have been stored wrong and that I got a killer deal anyway. Wrong Answer Candi!! The door was stored inside flat in a spare bedroom and as I told her .... I would of paid top dollar for an even door! Ironically I have found someone else that bought a crooked door from her and she seem to handle it better. Sadly not my case. read more
